The iPhone 13 Pro Max is still a solid choice, but it may only receive OS updates for another 3 to 4 years. Additionally, it has a 12 MP camera compared to the 48 MP camera in the 15 Plus. The 15 Plus also offers USB-C instead of the Lightning connector and includes the Dynamic Island feature. From a pricing perspective, the iPhone 13 Pro Max is currently much more affordable compared to the iPhone 15 Plus. Hope this helps.
iOS 18.1 here, only thing that bugs me is a bug with messages app, - it has red "unread" number 693 (!) stuck on it, while all the messages are read. Otherwise outstanding iOS update (and my transitioning from Android phone was smooth very much surprisingly for me))

Nah, mine had issues with touch screen and heat, on iOS 18. But it’s normal & buttery smooth on iOS 18.1. 👍🏽👍🏽
