I've tried many teach yourself music books, such as singing, Piano, guitar etc etc, but they all failed to teach me anything... I think the best singers, & musicians had mentors & trained & been taught one on one in the finest music schools
I agree, I've never had any success with books either. But well put together online piano courses like Bird's that teach piano with a chords based approach work extremely well (it's how I learned to play). And a single in person lesson with a piano instructor will cost more than this entire course does (and it as 100 lessons) Try out Arthur's free mini course courses.birdspianoacademy.com/p/the-piano-chords-mini-course?affcode=675635_xuopoaiq
Playing classical music on the piano or organ is also “engaging and fun”, Tony 😅 I personally prefer playing solo and without any accompaniment. It is good way to test and challenge yourself 😊
How does this compare to Piano For All? I've watched your review of that product and know that you highly recommend it as well. Based on your videos, it seems they both take the same approach. Does one edge out the other?
They're both awesome courses, and both great value. The approach is similar, but the big difference is the method of delivery. Pianoforall is a set of downloadable PDF books, so the advantage is it's available offline (I often use these while travelling). There are videos embedded in the books, but there's definitely more reading, page turning etc., and with big chapters, more of a "the lessons are longer" feel (even though you CAN just do a page at a time, I tend to feel like I should do more per sitting). Arthur Bird's courses are made up of a ton of specific online videos, that I like because they're nicely "bite-sized" but still well organized and build on each other; it's just so super easy to log in, do just one 3 minute lesson, or spend an hour and do a bunch. And I also personally prefer the full on video lessons to the "book" format, but that's just me. Hope that helps! Thanks for checking out the channel, feel free to subscribe
Keep trying to inspire us! It’s working.
Thanks so much that's super appreciated!!! And glad to hear I'm offering some inspiration!
Thank you for paying it forward! All that you do to just get people playing is appreciated. Just got to get going!
Thanks again! Happy to share these resources that worked so well for me
