Last one was worth the watch ❤
I feel like they don't get paid enough, these airport marshalls.
@@SwapBlogRU Nah, it's not hard.
@@jonathanm9436 perhaps, but if you screw up - it can be costly, let's just say
@@SwapBlogRU Again, nah, because these tasks are usually only about aligning planes correctly and stopping them on a spot. Planes are rarely to never near enough to any obstacle to hit it. Occasionally, you would use people as wing walkers if there was a risk, but it was very uncommon. It was part of my job in the RAAF.
@@SwapBlogRUthe Marshaller does not control the airplane. The pilot does and the pilot is responsible.
Plane: 50, 40, 30, 20, 10
Pilot: Am i forgetting something?
*Intense touchdown*
Pilot: Oh right, the flare
This was rather:
The plane: 50, ouch!
The pilot: ah, yes, the flare. I like it! Let's go around and land the same way again.
What’s a flare? (I know several meanings just not the one that can be paired with a civilian airliner)
@@engineer6674 (if your serious) At landing just before touch down the pilot pulls back on the Stick/yoke to bring the nose up and reduce the rate of decent right at touchdown. this is called the flare.
@@rharbarenko I didn’t know that, either. Thanks for the explanation.
@@rharbarenko i did not know that maneuver had a name
747 looked like it was practicing for a carrier landing
Forgets lol. "Oh right we're landing!"
Let's just stand really close to the engines.
I am sure he filmed a lot through that exhaust haha
Believe it or not you can stand pretty close to running engines from the front at idle, 20-25 feet typically.
@@rambothegreat18 yea but man those turboprops look real scary :D
@@resadrecebli2263 spinning props for sure, eff that
@@rambothegreat18 Looks like a super deluxe kitchen blender/chopper to me.
That parking marshal gave me flashbacks to be in band class and watching the conductor guide the song to the end.
Wow that 747 landing looked just liked the one that went viral a few days ago
There’s a chance it’s the same pilot
It is indeed the same plane and same incident.
@@chuckles_kIt’s not the same plane, nor the same incident.
The plane in the video is a B747-400 touching down somewhere that’s definitely not LAX. The one that went viral a few days ago was a B747-8, and that one landed at LAX.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183No dude, it’s not.
Take the wingtip for example. The latest one, (the one not in this video) has a flat wingtip. A wingtip that is flat at the end.
The one in this video, has a raked wingtip. One that sticks up towards the end.
Take a look again and let me know! :)
At 1:09 i think thats at altenstadt air base because i think a c160 is standing there and the sign in the back is german which would make sense
good line work marshalling in the 747. i'd have moved that van on the port side, might just be the camera that makes it look close.
That crabwalking KC390 thing is pretty cool looking!
Yes, very cool design! Relatively new medium size military transport made in Brazil by Embraer. (I had to look it up)
@@gwiyomikim5988 OHHH!! I like Brazil for the band Sepultura! Very interesting info, thank you!
The parking baton guy seems like he's following his spotter in the orange jacket in the background just to his right.
Oh man, he really stuffed that 747.
Ouch, that 747 landing was horrible 😰
What landing heard its still going around to this day
That pilot in the 747 must be ex-Navy performing a bolter like that!
Love this Channel! ❤❤
When you see a "[Insert large plane name] pilot forgets to flare" video, you know it's going to be a good one
love this channel
I don't know why that guy stands there so long in the cloud of toxic smoke! Yuck! Your lungs can't handle that kind of abuse! The airport marshal bit was really COOL and instructive. If I ever have to guide an A380 into a parking spot, I'll remember that one.
I seen this on airline videos
พลังธรรมชาติ ยิ่งใหญ่ เหนือมนุษย์ สงสาร และ เห็นใจนักบิน มากๆ พวกคุณ แบกรับภาระ❤❤❤
You could have added lightsaber sounds to the last clip
I'm sure it was a wind shear and NOT a lapse of judgement forgetting to flare the 747... (or that's what he's going to tell the Chief Pilot).
Actually they owned up to the mess up, no windshear
Great content
That smoking engine was insane! And the guy kept standing there, breathing it all in. 😢
Great job by the marshalling guy!
That Australian takeoff was from an airfield, not an airport...
That last job looks & seems fun to do. I wonder how much it payss you, tho.
I think that biplane in Australia was a Stearman Kaydet.
Strikingly similar to the D-ADYP landing where the pilot also flared too late. Perhaps the same pilot in training?
I thought it was going to be the hard Lufthansa 747-8 touch n go!
Anybody else catch themselves holding their breath while watching the airman on the ground become enveloped in smoke?
The exact same thing happened at LAX with a Lufthansa 747.
Same video.
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183 This video is from Toronto.
@@MyViewToronto seems you are correct and I’m wrong. 👍
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183Seeeeee
Gosto dos seus vídeos. Parabéns.
Nobody was injured.
Biplanes are so cool 🤩
for those wondering the pilot of the 747 was a trainee
edit: i noticed the wands go behind the marshaller when he tells the 747 to come forward
No such thing as a trainee flying the line🙄
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183sure there is…OE with an instructor. The instructor and student count as a single person on an augmented crew.
There's a better video of the first landing of the Lufthansa 747, that's not halfway-hidden by a signpost. It is brutal.
Wow hard landing 🛬
I was on that Lufthansa flight, save to say I'm walking.
02:00 He's job consists only in parking planes all day or does he have other things to do like ground maintenance etc... ?
Vampires on the last plane were kept at bay.
HE did not forget to flare... he's a retired Navy pilot.
Ouch that was hard 😣 lol 😂
Must’ve been a pilot who was new to the 747. The 747 cockpit is pretty high above ground if you think about it.
That sounds expensive
Imagine being on that plane 😂
Wait, I think that the first 747 clinched to crosswind and windsheer, but failed, so 747 did Go-Around soon..
1 : This 747 was braking so hard, cuz landing autobrake maybe selected "Max", and fly again under 1 second
2 : 0:23 - this plane was yawing to the left until 2nd taking off
Nope, pilot error, not weather related.
Nobody sets max auto brake on landing. 😂😂😂
That 747 at the start must have had a US Navy pilot on it, because that looked like a classic carrier landing, perfect 3-wire.
Too bad the 747 doesn't have a tail-hook!
Wait…that Lufthansa B747 landing wasn’t even the same one that went viral the other day. It was almost identical! 😂
@@rtbrtb_dutchy4183It’s not 🤦♂️
Do you have Instagram? I’ll show you the differences.
That is all pilot! Nothing to do with the aircraft.
Didn't a 747-8cargo recently suffer a hard landing or was this the same one?
Yeah, both Lufthansas. But that one was at LAX. This is a 747-400 at Toronto. Eerily similar though
@@cjames0723 yeah, it's weird how all of these phenomena are happening with all of these boeing aircrafts everywhere.
The landing of Lufthansa 747 is in fast motion?
TC-160 needs new piston rings
The Lufthansa pilot courteously replaced his divots after landing.
No wonder the landing was hard, he clearly went over the speed limit of 60 mph.
What's flaring???
#First video: POV: u are watching this video after the ATC one XD
You sound like Arnold hahahaha
You can tell the European ones because we haven't seen the sun for months.
We're just a rain forest now.
I don't mind... I hate sunny weather.
Oh. OH. OH!
The Marshall should stand on higher ground, or stairs
I think this is because hes breaking the posted speed limit
Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh 😂😂
0:16 🗣oh🗣oh 🗣omg🗣oh🗣oh 🗣oh...
I seen many movies starts like that 😂
What is flare?
The final pitch up maneuver to slow down just before touch down and to also ensure that the main landing gears touch down first before the nose wheel.
🛫🛬✈️
Damn
OHHH oohhh OHHHHH OHHH
I have a tough time believing the pilot forgot to flare. It is far more likely the pilot made all decisions based on all of the information they had, all of the training they received. Boeing aircraft need a harder touch down than Airbus so when I see a video about a pilot forgetting to flare I have doubts.
Boeing needs a harder touchdown??? 😂😂. Where do you get that stuff? It’s not true.
Well he did flare. Flared for a 737 not a 747 though.
Ouch
Love it!
of course lufthansa. The flying trashcan
Great video brother from the imperial county California 🇺🇲🇺🇲
Yooo Lucaas wsg
How in the world do you forget to flare when landing ? , even the runway view is not the same when we'll below minimums , it is like forgetting to extend your landing gear. I majored in Aviation starting in 1981 & never forgot to flare.
It’s called click bait mate.
Hello there!
Watch this
"o, o, o o,o,o !" boring !
Je te salut cher lucaas👍👍👍🇲🇦🇲🇦🇲🇦

the first clip has no credit give. You wiped the logo and the sound. I doubt you had permission from Airline Videos Live to use it. Why would you work so hard to scrub a video of all owners marks and change the audio? That just ain’t right.
