You 3 are my favourite on this app! My life is also slower than most and I often find myself feeling bad. I watch peoples life around me pass them by focusing on money and future. My mind set is similar to you guys and I feel so welcomed. Once I stopped focusing on what people wanted me to do and started doing what I wanted, I started to love myself. If I were young again and with the right person, I would do this. I love resourceful people. If you need to make something work, you find cast off items, use your engineering brain and satisfy your need. That truly builds confidence and peace of mind. No matter what life throws at you, you can handle it. Nothing better than that! Happiness is fleeting at times but peace of mind is cultivated by the individual. Rock on Elsa and Barron. I fly into Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport (KJGG) quite often for lunch at Charlie’s Airport Restaurant. The food is really good and the aviation ambiance is great. You can have a good meal and watch planes land and take off right in front of you. It’s very popular with pilots and locals too. You should check it out some time. They even have a playground for kids !

Morning routine are so important. It sets the day but I have to give it to you, your morning with that view is spectacular. What a beautiful place. Enjoy your videos. I'm an avid camper, retired from a 30 year desk job. I've been a camper for 30 years & it's indeed been my solitude. I started out tent camping, then bought a pop-up, then a Little Guy teardrop, the kind you just sleep in. I camped in the snow once & it was great. Got up at 5:30 am the day it snowed & went looking for animal tracks. I love cooking over the campfire & also cook electrical when I have hookups. Love, love, love the outdoors. Best wishes to you both for living your dream!

I read somewhere you can't even own knives, is that true.
@@jimbeck553 not exactly , but laws are very strict about carrying them . You can Only have ones less than 3 inches that fold . If your carrying any other knife without ‘good reason’ (and there aren’t many) it’s up to 4 years in prison and unlimited fine
@@jimbeck553 it’s a grey area. You can own knifes for tools but not as weapons. So if you get pulled up have a believable reason for having that knife.

I was watching ur Q&A and surprised about some of the fears. Im from northern WI which has black bears, wolves, bobcats, etc. Lived on 200plus acres. Some mornings a bear would b at my car, or around the house. A firm voice, noise. Just dont get between mom and cub. Im 74, camp where no amenities, away from other campers. Use a tent that fits 8 people so my studio and sleeping quarters. Have a buddy heater. Camp 4 to 6 wks on Mt Shasta at 7000ft.
💯 my fav channel in RUclips. Not to take anything away from the many others I support. There’s something calming and sincere about how you connect with people via this medium.

We use canned Salmon all the time to make our favorite Salmon patties :)
My Mother in Law makes salmon patties with canned salmon too and they are SO GOOD🤤
So great Kamp is doing so well off leash - can't wait until our knucklehead rescue figures that out... The compressed blocks you have for your wood burning stove are great - we had a little wood burner on our last sailboat (yeah, everything your mother tells you - don't light a fire on a sailboat) and would have loved those! I do remember chopping prestologs into little slices.
I think that dog can dig a hole and run around at the same time. That's multitasking . Good boy!

That was a grown of ecstasy ...... he is in his element, running freely, digging holes, acting like a goof then crashing with his humans ...... and then to be petting on top of it all, ecstasy.

There's some beautiful camping in the South San Juan Wilderness near Antonito, but it may be too cold or snow packed this time of year!
That's about where I place them, too. Not surprised it's cold. That part of the world can hit -20˚F pretty easily. Deserts are not always warm!
I thought the area looked familiar. My parents grew up in the San Luis valley. One of the coldest places I’ve ever been. But so beautiful, too. Is that Mount Blanca we see at the start of the video?

GUYS! i am just slightly obsessed a little with your lifestyle, i am retiring this month and now have a list of "to do" things to sort of get me where i can be 100% mobile and traveling across AZ, UT, CO, MT, WY ... i live in Arizona, so love seeing your high desert stuff.... so far i have bought some bar shampoo/cond and also that FROTHER lol. I am planning my most strategic plan to get a nice few pieces of long lasting clothes (Merino, Fjallraven etc) SO i really really appreciate all of your sharing of information!

This was such a well-shot video. And so cool to see people actually doing it, and not posting super pretty IG pics. The gear is used, has hard marks and shows that it's been faithfully serving you guys. I deeply enjoyed the peeks into the rituals/routines and minor work essentials. It really shows the people that could potentially want to do this, the options available, the needs to address, and the actual plausibility of it all. I feel for the loss of your best friend.
I have had many rescue pups and have 2 now. I miss them so much and usually can just go a brief time without rescuing or finding one in need. There are so many who need to find there special person and special home.... and we rescue them
but they actually come to our rescue with so much love. We're all just here for a short while and time is so precious for us all. Take good care💕❤
