One thing I would stick on the truck is a headache rack and that's for straps and ratchets and everything else like chains. Congratulations on your new Peterbilt I wish you luck with it have safe travels

You may hit things in the beginning just learn from it. Good job being thorough in training and taking it seriously by taking notes and such. Good luck

If you’re heading to Indy, road ranger in marshall, IL usually has cheap fuel with the company discount. That circle k seems like it would take u out of route
The driver can effect fuel milage by 35%. Mine improved by 1.5 mpg not using cruise control and not slamming down on the pedal. If you improve your MPG by 1 mpg it will save you between $10,000 and $15,000 a year at today's prices.
@@tiktokfavorite3070 Fuel is an owner operator biggest expense by far. Believe what you must and spend more on fuel. Cruise control is ok if on flat ground. When you hit a hill it kicks in full to get you back to speed. I have tested keeping constant pressure on the pedal saves fuel.

Congratulations on your new office, it looks gr8. You got this and I hope Prime can keep you busy enough to make your $$$ and not kill yourself. Please remember to not rush at anything, you are fresh in the new office and it may take a learning curve.
Congratulations… Each time you’re in the tractor shop talk to the mechanics about what they’re doing to your truck. This is not to question their expertise but to learn more about your truck and how you might recognize mechanical issues. Get you a good OTR tool kit. Again congrats and be safe out there.
Walmart wants you to check yourself out and then pat you down after you paid . They do worrried about it then they need to do their job and check it out instead of standing there doing nothing
My only advice is try and pull loads 40k less cause it’s hard on that trans no matter what truck u have…plus it’s easier to pull up hills and braking is easy since your new still

Peterbilts are a little above average on fuel the one I used to drive used to get close to almost 8.1~I’m in a KW right now gets about the same mileage~keep in mind I’m a tanker so I everything I haul is heavy
The best sweet spot is the green line on the rpm gauge go 65 you will be fine until that truck hits 75000 miles your mpg will be shitty I go 66 every where average 8.8 I argue this with anybody I had to 2 freightliner and 2 peterbuilt the biggest problem you will have is sensors once that is changed out you will be fine
My sweet spot is about 62 mph. I myself don't use cruise control, and take it easy on the brakes. Keep water in the truck and try to get the lighter loads and watch your over speed. Stay safe get out and look.

What type of engine do you have, i had a 2022 International LT with a cummins ISX 15 engine. i was getting 8 mpg on loaded and empty miles.
Cummings is a great engine. Prime went cheap with PACAR engines and transmissions

A 5 gal bucket with the 8 gal great value trashbags works perfect, dont forget the kitty litter for emergency restroom stops.
Congratulations 🎉 You are an inspiration to me. Thanks for sharing Please be safe and many God protect you as you travel
7mpg depends on gearing but sweet spot usually 65 to 72
@shaydesofblue2281 I was just saying based off truck so if it's governed that low run it at 62

Got the same truck, my truck is just a 2017, And that’s If you have a paccar motor. This motor is very good on fuel. 65 to 70 is my sweet spot.
