Finally I get to see what the small bunk looks like. Thank you. I had the big bunk version of this with my last truck. This is a nice compact set up for those tight jobs
I like the old stuff the most Mike, because that's what I grew up around and drove the most, although the last truck I got was a new T-800 KW that I drove for about 5 years. I do like seeing the new stuff too, because since I retired about 5 years ago, I've really gotten out of the loop. Part of that is intentional though because if I go look at the new trucks, I will probably start getting the urge to go back to truckin. There are a lot of days that I do really miss it, but when the snow starts flyin like it is now, I really kinda enjoy just looking at it out the window, instead of being out in it hangin iron... Guess I've gotten a little soft since I retired 😔
I was born in the forties and its kind of hard to see our old metal just go away for all the plastic. I was never afraid to grease my own rigs and others I drove..... now all automatics as well.... nope, not for me
The best relationship with your truck is the time you spend together one on one with your grease gun. Touchy feelie time with your semi can result in a .25 repair against a non touchy feelie repair of $100.00.
If you're a nut, you'll bust a gut! 🤣Thanks for the sales walk around! Not a bad truck for modern. Twin Stix wouldn't be too disappointed cause it has a single stick! Definitely needs a taller fridge!
it's amazing how much difference there is between Euro Trucks and North American Trucks.... Fold in mirrors have been fitted to Euro trucks for decades. Why not have the traction control fitted? you can turn it off you know. all Euro trucks have TC, and a switch to turn it off if needs be. It seems N. Americans like OLD trucks and refuse to modernise.... Euro trucks do 13mpg at 44,000kg (97000lbs). I'm still shocked that N. American trucks didn't mandate front brakes until the 80s.... lol
The no fifth wheel workaround, do you also have to order it not plumbed and wired for a trailer? Not a fan of no grease fittings, but then again how hard is it now to get someone to properly grease a truck chassis
Mike the big question how much does it sell for ,just wondering here in Australia we get shafted on American vehicles ,the 2024 RAM 3500 is 177,000 dollars we can buy the 2023 run out RAM 1500 for 97,000 dollars both dual cab models. BIG PROBLEM HERE IS car parks are marked out for Toyota Prius size cars so you can imagine trying to park a RAM 😅😅😅😅 Cheers Kym Adelaide
Beacon's are automatically dorky. Mike there was one thing on our Kenworth's when we go up gravel roads empty the rears would start bouncing on the washboard roads, soooooo the computer would cut power to the engine, then we would creep up the hill.😋fun. Yeah the gee-whiz stuff is neat, but ya need a strong foundation under you, did that truck have disk brakes?🤔
@@customparts6723 Traction control, computer was getting wheel spin input, we just had to back off and almost stop then start going again, fun with trucks and computers.
It's OK to see the new stuff but I like all the guages and not the digital and plastic but it's what it is. Like you said trucks are getting to automotive 😊
579’s are overrated. Bought one and the hood doesn’t work like that. If I don’t hang on to it it bounces and breaks the struts. Peterbilt would do well to study International’s hood. They’re much easier to open and close and their struts aren’t $400 bucks a piece. Exhaust makes no sense why hang a stack on the truck that doesn’t work?
Dashboard is too confusing. Lots of plastic, certainly not Peterbilt class and no more 389s.Shame on Peterbilt. Old school drivers are dying off and so is Peterbilt 's class!!
Great Ideal! Fold in mirrors. For when a Swift driver wants to park next to you in a truck stop.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣👏👏👏👏👏
😂😂😂
As a minimalist....I love the set up with this truck! I'd be in heaven with the space!

Thanks Mike, I'll never be in the market for brand new but it's interesting to see all the fancy stuff they've put into trucks these days.
I like the seeing the new stuff. I find it interesting the deference in the Canadian trucks and what we have in the lower 48. Thanks for the video 👍

That's a nice looking truck too.
Great video Mike !! Nice to see what the new trucks have to offer, Love all your videos. Thanks for sharing.
Mike, enjoyed watching the new truck video. Interesting to check out the new technology being done to these rigs. Thanks, be safe.
Thanks for the tour, I'm a bit mystified that there isn't a dedicated spot for a ELD.
Good job Mike it's been a while since I've seen anything done like this
Hi from France, once a salesman always a salesman.Love your chanel.

Transmission?

MY 06 378sb HAS THE SAME FRONT BUMPER
I like the outside air cleaner, call me old school. Price as it sits plus fifth wheel ? I'd want dual exhaust.
Hey Mike. Do you guy's have to put up with the junk scr and Def fluid?
Nice truck would like it in red with the Nice push bumper
It's OK to see the new stuff but I like all the guages and not the digital and plastic but it's what it is. Like you said trucks are getting to automotive 😊
'Bullnose' trucks odd and rare things for over here. A nice Volvo Fh16 or a Scania S730 for me. Nice show of the truck though Mike.
Make its called a trolley valve
Give me more please and thank you.
If you like power, you like Scania
Mike, what is the difference between the 3 differential locks?
I understand the front and rear, but what is the first switch for ?
Thanks Steve.
Inter axle, locks the front and rear diff together
Thanks Mike !
Wider front tires
😎👍
is that petes new electric truck in disguise not the units you usually show.
How much
I still call you Peterbilt Mike.
What is the transmission?
18spd manual
What does it have for a transmission?
18spd manual.
I was also wondering why truck didn’t have 5th wheel, thanks for sharing that. TC is overrated, had on my 367, never used it.
🚛💡👌
do a new truck with dad and his view.
Grease fits are better in my opinion
Not a fan of automatic transmission. I like grabbing gears.
How that can be 2025? We just go to 2024 in Europe. Is Canada 1 year in future?
The next model year starts in January. I know it's silly

Not a big fan of the new look
Do new stuff on a different channel please.
Why should he ?
