In recent years, the film's reputation has grown among fans of musicals and of Gene Kelly, whose dance on roller skates to "I Like Myself" is seen as the last great dance solo of his career. Scenes from the film were included in MGM's 1976 film That's Entertainment, Part II, in a segment hosted by Kelly and Fred Astaire. Thanks for the HEART! I was a little kid then, so I never saw the 1955 movie, and only this wonderful bit with Gene on the skates a few years ago on YT. I'm glad the younger people (of all ages!) get to see classic movie bits, and Doo Wop, pop songs from that fast-receding, marvelous decade, after the July 1953 Korean War ended in the subsequent 10 years of the best era ever enjoyed in U.S. history!
