keep the explanation videos, they are fire. would be cool to see you do an over the board explanation video against someone at a club (dont tell them your elo for reaction haha)
Hey - unless it's just on my end - I think your audio and video aren't synced up. In the future, you could make it easy for yourself to sync the two in editing by clapping on screen once your audio and video recordings have started.
Thank you. I enjoy your recaps, because I am lower ranked than you, and I can take a peak at what it's like up there ! Very informative and interesting.
G I'm 8 Elo points away from 1000 rapid !! I keep drawing which is +0 & -0, but its from dead lost positions so maybe I'm in my prime!! any pro tips!? what's the best opening to study at 900-1200 Elo in your POV!! Congrats on the W and sorry bout the L!!
All openings that have quick development are good. I like caro and Vienna but you can choose whatever. Just don’t make crazy moves and stick to what you know. Puzzles help a lot too
4:00 Missing this tactic is pretty remarkable...even for a 1500. Greek gift plays are usually well entrenched even for most intermediates. Honestly, it may be beneficial to shut down all blitz+ play for a solid month and only play either 15+10 or 30+0 rapid games so you can better develop analytic game play. Blitz+ is fine for honing intuitive game play. But maybe that's all you want out of chess. Nothing wrong with that really.
This first game was so equal it is impossible to lose, the reason Nd3 is much better because it is more flexible, knight on d3 controls two important squares c5 and f4, exchange your bad black bishop on f4. Bishop sacrifice is more complicated: Bxh7+ Kh7; Ng5+ Kg6 protecting his white Bishop on h5; Re6+ Bf6; Qd3+ Kh6; Qh7 mate There is more to the sacrifice , the line you give is why is white winning, you are a pawn up and he is slightly expose in the kingside. There is big difference online 2000 and over the board 2000 fide or uscf; I crush a 2100 online is rated 1700 fide, there no comparison in strength and I play beat a 2100 who is 2000 fide and she played likd expert, not like 1700 fide.
@@edsanjenis9416 I agree 2000 elo online is definitely not the same as 2000 otb. In fact I’m 1200 National. I still think that there is still a great number of players that are really good online. Yes we make some possible mistakes but we are better than 99% of casuals. Thanks for the insight…looks like you have more fluent ideas than myself! 👍😁
When you said "I always don't see tactics" LOL I really think you meant "I don't always see tactics". Because if you never, ever see tactics, it's even more impressive that you're rated 2000 :)

@@TheTakenName I just did 2 days ago man on rapid. Major milestone accomplished. Now I can focus on other hobbies 😂 Slowly playing blitz since I’m “only” 1800 there but I don’t wanna study like I did before anymore lol
@@dg3872 neither blitz nor bullet reveal your true strength, since you have so little time to play. If anything, rapid is the lowest time control to give you a chance to bring out your best, and while, sure, it doesn't coincide with FIDE rating, that applies to every single elo rating that's not the official FIDE. Lichess is not FIDE. Pretty sure the USCF is not FIDE. There's no real point in bringing that up.
This is a silly point. 2000 rapid is in the top 1 or 2 percentile of players on chesscom rapid. Blitz can be harder than rapid, however the level of play in rapid is much better than in blitz. In blitz you either flag or they blunder due to time, where is in rapid you actually have to beat the opponent every move until the end of the game. I think you should stop being so snobby, perhaps you are higher rated than 2000, if you are then it is disappointing as you have the maturity of a 5 year old.
2k is in the average rating. Your calculations are too shallow. I'm 2200 on both rapid and blitz. I would probably get beaten by a CM any day. The thing is you are assuming that the reason you are losing to 2100s is because your opponent plays better than you. They don't. You both suck. Checking the engine is pointless. Even if you play a better line, you wouldn't maintain a good position. Every player is just hoping that their opponent is playing really bad that punishing a single move is enough to win the game. You are basically wasting your time in this rating-range and any win you get is just a placebo of you improving. I already quit 3 years ago.
Its normal to think anyone below your rating sucks. If your'e really 2200 then I'd probably think your chess sucks if I see it. Thats the point of the rating ladder.
2000 doesn't need serious learning on openings and endgames, generally it's the entrance into serious chess.
bro I just crossed 2000 elo today ✌✌
congrats! :)
How long have you been playing chess to hit that elo?
@@io.iq0 1 year and 7 months
@@io.iq0takes you around 1 1/5 to 2.. you should hit around 1500 within the half year..

For the Greek gift tactic at 4:20, what happens if they instead bring the king forward to defend their bishop?

can you recommend any opening against D4 i struggle I play carokhan for e4 ,as white vienna, scotch,Or your full repertoire

5:13 computer liked Nd3 couse you could reroute it to e6 via f4

Simply put the level of play is more accurate and mistakes are less made at the advanced level.
