Hands down one of the best games I remembered as a kid. Even though they lost it was super entertaining. Big ups to Mahmoud Abdul Rauf. Truly one of the talents that didnt get to reach his potential. Dude could drop 50 at will. Steph Curry's style is similar

Mahmoud was awesome in this game! He was absolutely unique in the history of the NBA, both as a person and as a player. He would go from dribbling to shooting faster than anyone ever. I remember this game so fondly. It was a full-moon and we drove up to loveland pass after the game ended to moonlight-ski in the fresh powder.

People, remember that Denver was a huge underdogg going into this game. The Bulls went in thinking they had this one in the bag. Can you blame them? Going into that game with an 18 game winning streak. Just Amazing. Just listen to the crowd. The majority of them were Bulls fans. That year the Bulls were treated like rockstars in every arena. So much respect had been given to them and they deserved every bit of it,peace.

This was a great game, I'll never forget it; I think the Bulls were down like 30 and came back and almost pulled it off - that game showed how great Chicago was back from 1996-1998. Everyone loved the Bulls then because they were the only mature team in the league showing everyone how to play the game; they were different than the '91-93 teams and that's why I (as a Pistons fan) could appreciate them more in 1995-1998.

I remember watching this game on WGN, the Bulls we're absolutely smoking and just killing every opponent in the NBA like i've have'nt seen before or since. Yes the Bulls 18 game winning streak came to an end in this game, but what was so impressive was them making up a 31 point deficit and coming back to actually take the lead. The Bulls could have just rang this game up and took a blow out loss, but that just was'nt this squad's style, this is why they we're such a great team.

The dunk at 3:30, you could see Jordan liked it, he was excited about the comeback. Woow, I feel so sad being born in 1992, living in Europe and starting to watch basketball only since 2004. It seems like every game Jordan played was spectacular, woow, the man IS the greatest of all time.

I remember this game well. Bulls were 41-3. 41-3!!! they also had an 18 game winning streak snapped. i think they lost the next game to barkley and the suns also. so pissed they were down by 30+ pts but for some reason you have it in your head that the bulls were gonna come back from that deficit. they did comeback and took the lead in the 3rd quarter but got tired from the expending all that energy during the run. this loss came at the end of a western conference road trip.

@JColeM7785 And that was the days when hand-checking was legal. Mahmoud struggled against bigger guards like Payton, who could push him around. Put him in the league today and he would absolutely murder every single guard trying to defend him. Best shooter I have ever seen, no competition.

Any Nuggets fans may remember this. The next day in the Denver Post it had the write up of the win, all of the articles. But the Standings page showed the Nuggets losing. They had us at 18-27 instead of 19-26. Someone wrote in a few days later saying that the paper should issue an apology and that probably the guy who updated the standings marked it down as a loss and went home early.

In fact him constantly going to iso and over relying on jumpers is the BIGGEST reason WHY he's consistently less efficient as a player than MJ.
He's NEVER learned how limit the # of iso's, nor effectively move w/o the ball.
If he knew HOW to do these things (like MJ), it would make it EXTREMELY more difficult for defenses to guard him.
This is also is why he CONSTANTLY struggles against aggressive, physical & tough defenses that double/triple him, whereas MJ EXCELLED against them.

The Bulls trailed by 39 at one point in this game and they took a 5-point lead in the third quarter! The crowd at McNichols Arena was stunned. Unfortunately, the Bulls wasted so much energy to catch up that they ran out of gas in the end. They likely were not taking the Nuggets seriously.

I notice that whenever I watch these Jordan games on youtube and read some of the comments, it seems like all everyone wants to do is bash Kobe when Kobe doesn't even have anything to do with the video LOL! @Zkill24 I think you are missing my point.
1- Kobe ROLLED OVER for Boston in the Championship. I don't care what his teammates were doing. Where was he? He wants to shoot so much. That was his golden opportunity.
2- Mike NEVER relented, for anyone. He always went out there to kick someone ass.
3- In the first 6 years or so of Mike's career he really didn't have anyone worth throwing the ball to, certainly not a Pau Gasol. It's easy to forget O. Woolridge was doing cocaine at that time.
    Peace

MJ & Kobe vs their team in career Finals FG%
    MJ: MJ: 443-911 (49%) > his teammates: 865-1990 (45%)
    KB: KB 333-808 (41%) < his teammates: 1041-2161 (48%)
So where's this better team for MJ at again?
Rookie MJ went to a 27 win lottery team that hadn't seen the playoffs since '81 until he showed up! From 1984-89, he played with 43 DIFFERENT guys (3 as starters), and 3 different coaches!!
Kobe went to a team 57 win playoff team with 3 other All Stars other than himself!!

@h0opman31 If your definition of "close" is the same as "miles away", then sir you are correct. Only player I've seen dominate both ends of the floor even near the level that MJ did (from the wing position) was Grant Hill before his injury. That guy was like Pippen Deluxe. Too bad his injuries destroyed his career. He could dominate with just his defense and passing alone. Amazing player.

Kobe just needs 1 more ALL STAR on his team to help with his championship ring run. It will be Kobe, Odom, Gasol, Artest, and why not just add Dwight Howard?! I mean, all they are missing is one ALL STAR to have an ALL STAR Starting lineup. I think MJ had one ALL STAR on his team in Pippen. MJ and Pippen is not the same as Shaq, Kobe, Gasol, Odom, Artest, Isaih Rider, Malone, Payton, Van Exel, Eddie Jones & Cedric Ceballos. MJ with less talent did more than Kb does beingsurrounded by talent

@blackadam06 So if you watch basketball and instead of youtube clips you would understand. Its not about who's better because stats doesn't tell what either of them did or meant to the team. Michael Jordan has always had a better team then Kobe. It was always consistent in its approach to the game, Kobe, on the other hand, has been through more than Mike on any team. Michael Jordan has never played with scrubs that got significant minutes, so his 43 teammates were all ballers

@cuttyb87 Kobe was getting scoring titles when he Lakers weren't as good. I love Mike but to think he is leaps and bounds ahead of Kobe is crazy. Mike has more accolades that he got because of his team, but Kobe and Mike has similar games and similar styles of play. If Kobe had a swingman like Pippen now it would be over, so don't just live off the bad defense of the past and this other foolishness, come on son , Kobe and Mike are the same players just different era

@blackadam06 WOW Kobe bryant is just as dynamic as Mike we all see it now, but Mike didn't have the issues with a team that Kobe had. Mike had Scottie and Kobe has never had a swingman to take the pressure off lol sorry man close but no cigar try again kid...BTW so Kobe can't get scoring titles? he been there and done that. Plus in 87 he dunked and took it to the line all the time but come on son
