Great content! I took my siblings on a guided fly fishing trip and it was awesome. I can’t wait to do it again. The element of ‘uncertainty’ allows you to slow down and enjoy the moment with nature and family. Thanks for the production of this quality video.
I got sick of dealing with all the idiots & the catch n kill it crowd that don’t care if it’s catch n release designated water, or if the time of year doesn’t allow for catch n keep, they do it anyway. Then add the tourons that invade the area & the trout streams you once knew & loved started to decline. I decided to buy land in another state, a private water state & develop my own stretch of trout stream. Best decision I ever made & I don’t find myself going back to NC unless I’m going deep in the mountains to some little known creeks with small wild browns. I used to love NC trout streams, they were as good as you could find, I guess all good things come to an end.
agree, its annoying to just get different colored people for the sake of it. If we were good people, we wouldnt see color at all and actually include everyone instead of forcing it.
Pretty good, but why does it have to be filled with marxist philosophies? You cannot force people to care about the same things you care about, you can only strive to teach people correct principals and hope they use them to govern themselves, I love the outdoors, but I'm getting really really tired of hearing people say soft marxist philosophical ideas about people and the outdoors. You cannot force anyone to care or treat things the way you do, and all the attempts being made the way they are being made are having the opposite effect on the masses.
Came here to say the same thing. The vast majority of recent newcomers to the outdoors in general, but even in fly fishing, aren’t anything at all like that which is being described in this video. Most of them just want a big, fat, hatchery trout to post on instagram for the likes, and maybe a framed pic for their computer desk. And those who do fall in line with the ideologies espoused in this video, are often from larger metropolitan areas of the country, and bring with them all manner of confused thinking that often causes far more harm than good.
Whitewater rafting and kayaking flow releases kill the Nantahala as a great trout fishery. It's all about the money for these tubing companies. This PR piece doesn't tell the real story.
