  • Today my friends Jon and Charlie show me how much stronger they are than me. Bench Press has always been my lagging lift. But I'm still out here doing work.
    I'm definitely focusing more on hypertrophy currently. And sets of 5 are gonna be meh for that. But jumping in with the class is always my priority.

    I have not performed barbell chest press in a few years but I have been doing and have improved in various ring dip, ring pushup and ring pullup variations. My chest (and back) is definitely bigger and feels stronger to me now than when I last did barbell chest press. Ring exercises have definitely been gamechangers for my chest development. I'm interested to see how much my chest press has improved because I'd bet money it has. -- hopefully this does not sound like gloating LOL. I just love my gym rings =)

      I whole heartedly agree. Almost every time we have some bench press for a strength segment. The Workout Of The Day will have some sort of ring dips involved. Ring dips are one of the only ways I can “feel” my chest actually working. They are the absolutely best in my opinion. So we are in the same page!! Get beefy baby.
