I love this lens, the rendering is amazing. It does create bokeh outlining with some busy backgrounds, but that is part of its charm. These lenses are insane value used.

It's a beautiful lens! I got mine for $200 off Facebook Marketplace which was a total steal.

This lens retailed originally for around $950 and now can be had for under $450 and sometimes in the $300s. It is all metal, even with a solid metal lens hood and built like a tank. The color, resolution and way this lens draws is gorgeous - Steve Huff put this up against the $7k+ Leica 50 APO Summicron and found it a match in terms of sharpness. The focus action is butter smooth. The aperture ring can be de-clicked for video use with a little tool that comes with it. Images are fantastic. In certain situations as someone else mentioned, you get bokeh outlining, but the bokeh is more often than not stunning and the Zeiss 3D pop is there. A really under-rated almost forgotten lens these days, such a shame.
