I’m from Nottingham but spent a short while living in greater Manchester. My preference is Woodhead but I’ve used the Snake and also Cat & Fiddle several times, in all weathers at all times of t day. My favourite trip over Woodhead was after my son and I went to a gig in Manc and we came back in the dark on a really cold but really clear night. Not a cloud in the sky. Any of the three are so much better than either the M6, M1 or M62.
As for trams, they’re a pain - I’m a bus driver and it’s nothing but painful if you get stuck behind one.

Loved the video, Tim! I’ve been watching religiously for the last three months, ever since I moved to Witchford which isn’t too far from you. I often look out for you on the A142 and keep an ear out incase I hear tones when you drive past. I’ve always wondered what it would be like to drive a lorry but can’t seem to find any experience packages anywhere. Don’t suppose you know of any?
