I’m making this comment only after seeing prosecutions opening statement… (I’ve already heard about the entire case, I’m just watching the trial for the first time), I don’t feel like she did a very good job. Partly because she may have been nervous, but also because the speech could’ve been better (and maybe I missed it, but first she said the kids were in the rooms/sofa bed and then everyone was in the master bedroom)… 🤷‍♀️ but, no I couldn’t have done better, so I’m in no position to judge

I think Ofc Phelps basically explains why he appears to be “more” haunted than Ofc Seda “appeared”. He stated at the onset that he was not familiar with the smell of decomp, whereas Ofc Seda knew immediately what that “foul” odor was. I don’t believe either Ofc was any less professional than the other. I just believe that experience is apparent. I personally can NOT imagine what horrors these Ofc are forced to live with after such a horrific scene, nor do I want to imagine.

For example Ryan Duke confessed and wrote his confession more than once then retracted and was not convicted of Tara G’s murder. I think in the Ryan Dukes vs Georgia case the prosecution depended WAY TOO MUCH on that confession in investigators offices instead of using as evidence and not a narrative. She did not corroborate the confession enough with physical evidence

The defense lawyer wanted to bring up his mental health (he was Baker Acted and had suicidal ideation immediately after his arrest)to argue that his confession wasn't credible/voluntary, but the judge dismissed the motion. No evidence of his mental health was presented during the trial. The prosecution allegedly dropped the death penalty (they were originally seeking it) due to mental health issues.

I agree! The system has access to those such devices at least in Tennessee they do. They use a high electrode type device on dangerous criminals while in the courtroom esp during trials that way if the defendant does try to do anything that could cause potential harm to anyone in the courtroom (I.e. if he was to ”rush” the judge or start badgering witnesses etc.) they can actually activate the device that would send shock type sensations to the defendant kinda like a shock collar for dogs. They have it for everyone’s safety therefore if a fight breaks out etc. then they have an immediate way to stop the defendant therefore if the officers cannot detain them quick enough.
