He knows that it was a open and shut case. He is trying to find something they can turn around and appeal on a technicality. I actually feel bad for him. He didn’t have a choice but to try and defend her
Everyone is questioning the mother and it needs to stop. Trauma reactions are different for everyone. I have experienced trauma on more than one occasion and I am the only person in my family that can remain calm, almost nonchalant about the situation. Whereas my mom runs through the house screaming and crying. Some of these situations required action to help a dying family member and my mom was of no help, not even to 911 dispatchers. My calmness doesn't make me heartless, it helps me get through the immediate situation and I grieve in private.
My point is the whole bashing the mom further proves how judgmental people have gotten with little to no grounds. The court of public opinion convicts with only one side heard and with only tainted evidence from highly bias sources; in this case the mom is crucified due to a minute in one friggin phone call. Due to people being exposed by way of social media and content such as this has left me with a justified growing concern with our jury system. As jury aged individuals grow ever more sanctimonious and closed minded all while being totally lost on whys and hows of the concept of questioning those on the stand works; every American better pray that they never find themselves wrongfully before a jury.
I'm the same. After a lot of childhood trauma I tend to have delayed reactions tho crisis situations. It makes me good at handling disaster when it strikes, but people think I'm cold. It can be days, even weeks later when it hits me and I'm a mess.
There is no normal way to act or to respond! Much like any machine when they short circuit it can be very unpredictable. Finding your child dead would be hard, finding your child dismembered would be horrific, s ring your child’s head in a bucket before you even know he is dead would be such an overload to the system a short circuit would be completely expected! It would be so overwhelming that there is no normal way to respond! People say they would be crying and screaming and maybe they would but there is nothing wrong with a system shut down too! There are things that the brain does to protect the person in cases of severe trauma. I can’t imagine the level of trauma this mother would have! If she knew her son was dead, she saw the body first it may not have been as a big a trauma but still traumatic! But seeing the head in a bucket with no precursors would literally short circuit the system!
@@wrexshuntpeople on drugs/alcohol should be held accountable for their actions. I have seen first hand what people can do on meth it's not a pretty sight but it does not give a free pass
She is pure evil I didn’t time stamp but during the evidence pictures, she was playing a game with the camera and there was one shot of her with the EVILIST grin I have ever seen
I can't imagine how Shad's mom managed to stay so calm after finding his head. I would have been hysterical, and inconsolable. Maybe she was in shock, and that's why she was able to so clearly speak to the police in that 911 call? I would have been terrified that the killer was still in the house too, even though his mom had said she heard the door close (like the sound of someone leaving, I think she said). My heart breaks for Shad's mom for having to see the horror that was inflicted on him, and that her boyfriend saw it too. Just unimaginable. My condolences to their entire family. RIP, Shad... or haunt Taylor's nightmares for the rest of her life... whichever works for ya.
@Vmurph I would be hysterical no matter WHO'S head was in the bucket, but I guess not everyone reacts the same. Her boyfriend testified that she was crying before they called the police. Again, maybe she was in shock? I don't want to be hard on her, she lost her son on an horrific way, and was the one to find him. I can't imagine what that must do to a mom. I just know that even when the police arrived, they wouldn't have been able to talk to me because I would be screaming in emotional agony, and probably vomiting too. But, that's just me. They would have ended up calling an ambulance for me, because I probably would have had a nervous breakdown or something. How do you recover from finding your adult child in that condition? I have no idea. Lots of medication and therapy, I guess.
@@Vmurphit's called shock, just because you don't understand doesn't mean it's weird. It just means you don't know what shock looks or sounds like. Unfortunately plenty of us know
@@Vmurpheveryone is different and it is a very good thing for humanity that some people can be calm when they need to be calm in a crisis to survive. I'm like that sometimes. I fall apart after everything is safe and settled down
She's very competent. The fact that she took time to hide parts of him around the house then tells cops have fun finding him; says she knew all along what she was doing!
She also told the officers that was F'ed up when they first told her that her boyfriend had been dismembered. And didn't deny it she had marijuana, coke, meth and had snorted trazadone all in her system. Combined with the fact that she's bipolar depressive as well, she was a ticking timebomb. I doubt she'll ever kill again I'm not saying she's not responsible, but she clearly wasn't mentally stable during the homicide
@@hilriekemp Exactly. I don’t know yet if she was legally insane at the time of the crime, but scattering your murder victim’s body parts around the house and telling the cops to have fun, certainly doesn’t speak to mental stability. The fact that she was so brazen about everything to the police makes you wonder if she had the capacity to know right from wrong.

I'm so sorry to the Mother of Shad... I can tell by the way she's talking to the 911 operator that part of her brain has disconnected from her feelings ( Shock ) It can take day's and months before it hits her ... I hope she had all the support around her to be there when that happens...RIP Shad..💔
It was probably like having a nightmare, waiting to wake up. When you are having it, a part of your brain tells you to stay calm because it isn't real. I can't imagine what it was like when reality hit her.🥺
He was grasping at straws the entire time. "Well she wasn't in the basement, so obviously she couldn’t have done it!" I am both baffled and awed by the gymnastics done to avoid she was COVERED in his blood
It’s his job to prove her innocence. It’s not his job to prove her guilty. That’s the difference between his lawyer and hers. His lawyer has to prove she did it. And her lawyer has to try to prove her innocence. Not prove her guilty. Even if he’s grasping at straws. And looks like an idiot. It’s still his job.
@@irios1066 right? I don’t even know how they think they have any kind of case. She admitted to doing it. Detail by detail. Unless that statement wasn’t admissible in court, I don’t know how they can get around that. But she is an absolute nut job, but that is caused by drugs and I don’t think she should get out of it because of her drug addictions. If she was in her right mind and not on meth , I still feel like she would’ve done something like that. Just based on how she attacked her first lawyer, and she wasn’t on anything, she’s just a nutcase that wants to be violent, and something was bound to happen.
I know she was hospitalized several times over the years, but how TS was never in major legal trouble before this is actually surprising. Also surprising is that her lawyer is wearing a suit and not protective gear.
The same lawyer that she attacked? Pay attention whenever he's talking. Look at her face. @ohhamburgers9769 No they're wrong. It's not the same lawyer lol. 😂 A new one was appointed. Fraelich is the new one. Jolly is the last one. They do look a little similar though.
I am addicted to police interrogations and courtroom drama. WHY? Because all of the accused look so normal and have committed horrible murders, rape and other crimes. I realized you can't really know someone.
She may be crazy but she isn't stupid. She has to "look" at least normal before the jury, which I guess in her case, is pretty much impossible but every little helps lol!
I notticed this also, I think we may see her true attacking self again throughout this trial. She seems too e getting more upset at her lawyer with every question he is asking. He's got balls that's for sure, there is no amount of money that would pay me to be her lawyer.

I really hope there's no pen, pencil, stapler.... or anything else near her. I think the guard should be a lot closer to her cuz she's very quick w her movements... ugh
What an appalling crime. Taylor Schabusiness shows absolutely NO remorse and even has the audacity to smirk and laugh before the court, to attack her own counsel (resulting in her being placed with a spit hood for the sentencing hearing) , which indicates not only that she is NOT sorry, but considers her own cruel, cold-blooded and gruesome actions as a joke, going so far as to leave the victim's head for his mother to find and remarking ,"I can't believe I forgot the head!" while being interrogated by police. This repulsive excuse for a human being deserves the fullest extent of the law's punishment, and she may well be the nastiest, most psychopathic killer to come out of Wisconsin since Jeffrey Dahmer.
They must have had some suspicion on who did it because if I found my sons head in a bucket in the basement… i would have been freaking out and ran tf out of that house SO QUICK. it could have been ANY. 1:03:23
Honestly, she really doesn't have a defense. The police followed protocol correctly, she admitted to basically everything, she was of sound enough mind to know what she did was illegal and inhuman. Plus she beat up her past 2 attorneys in court. Honestly, this must have been an extremely difficult defense case to pick up, all things considered. I feel like he did a good job checking for any holes that could be poked for any future potential appeals, because now, he's shown there are no loopholes here, she's very likely to be in prison for the rest of her life (I hope to fukkin god). Prison is right where she belongs.
OMG it would save so much time if the Defense wouldn't ask the same question the Prosecution has already asked and not have to ask every witness the same questions !!!
@Nichol0824 I believe the media has been cautioned against keeping the camera on the defendant for prolonged/excessive amounts of time. He referenced the Lori Vallow/Daybell trial and how it became a bit of a circus. Edit: I may have been thinking of the Kohberber trial when recalling this caution.
What this woman did to this man was one of the most grotesque brutal murders I've ever heard about. God bless his mother, who kept it together more than I could have if it were my son, and I had to hear the gruesome details with the murderer sitting right in front of me. This woman was pure evil. She absolutely feels emotions, and knows exactly what she did. She was able to smile at her dad when he testified, told him she loved him, and throughout his testimony I watched her facial expressions when her dad was asked about her mother. Through her facial expressions she demonstrated pain, she often nodded in agreement, etc. She is well in touch with reality. Crystal meth makes people do some outrageous things, unthinkable, in fact. So when an already bonafide evil woman is high on meth, ect., I'm sure she was pretty messed up but not in a state of psychosis. The fact that defense tried to convince the jury of that was predictable, but like the rest of us, they saw right through it. Bottom line, she's pure evil and was high as kite. Now she must pay the price. I have not one ounce of sympathy for her, but I do feel for her father. To know you brought a child who you still love very much into this world, who did what she did, must be devastating. I can't even imagine the extreme pain both of their parents have had to deal with and probably still do. Very disturbed evil woman. God bless his sole.
It's so sad! Officer Wanish (sp?) worked my case when my ex was stalking me, and he testified in court at the trial. He was exceptionally nice and professional. If I am not mistaken, he may have been the officer who assisted when my ex broke my ankle. I was in distress then, and my ex had so many cases against him, because he broke the restraining order so many times that they all blend together. I was also swatted by my ex. However, Officer Wanish stood out to me because he went above and beyond to be kind. He will definitely be affected by this, because he is an empathetic man. He is an exceptional officer. I hope he and the other officers, as well as the family, are able to find peace and heal from this horrific tragedy.
I guess, he has to look like he is defending her in some way so she can not accuse him of not doing his job? She does look rather annoyed with him, the way she side eyes him when he speaks. 🙄
As soon as I'm hearing this def atty picking at threads like how far the crime scene tape extended, gloves on and possession of flashlight and if the sidewalk was used to get up to the residence by the officer, you can tell his case is pointless. Even SHE looks like he has no "Schabusiness" defending her case LOL!
I'm wondering why with all these people allowed to be on the streets and not competent to stand trial why couldn't the government be responsible for not only protecting the public but also the mentally ill.
That's some of the most graphic photographic evidence ever seen on TV - they actually showed the victim's severed thigh. And she was laughing at various points (a really big grin at the dildo photo). What a scary looking woman - and she's young now, this is as good as it gets. Imagine how witchy she'll look as she ages. That poor guy had no clue what he'd allowed into his bed. I feel really sorry for the women who get locked up with her - she's utterly terrifying!
The picture of her with makeup on looks like a different person. It must have been a while ago. I don’t see any semblance of that person in the defendant.
@@Dark_WolFeather Yes, it's scary that they were old friends who first met as kids at school. There would have been a lot of trust there because of that - and no guy expects a woman to get the better of them in a physical conflict, least of all kill them! She's a sly one. She was obsessed with gay serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer, whose speciality was dismembering & decapitating his victims, and post mortem sex. Two weeks before she murdered and butchered Shad, she looked up a load of Dahmer stuff online. I reckon she was curious and wanted to try the same stuff. She planned to do it to Shad, and ambushed that poor kid IMO. I bet it was HER idea to put the chain round his neck, not his, as she told police. He didn't have a hope of escaping. She had him laying on the bed on his front, and she sat on his back with her full weight, as she throttled him from behind with the chain. Only a guy who was a lot bigger and heavier than her, could possibly have thrown her off - in photos Shad looked like quite a small guy. No doubt she had his arms pinned down under her legs, so he couldn't loosen the chain or defend himself. What an horrific death! Killing him in his Mom's house, with his Mom's kitchen knives, is adding insult to injury! What an evil witch.
@niles-ek2we I'm fully aware of the victim's long history with his killer, it was well documented during the recent murder trial. Their relationship and history is exactly my point - he had no reason to think she would murder him! Shad Thyrion had known Taylor Schabusiness for years. They met at school, and were friends as well as lovers. They regularly enjoyed drugs, and S&M sex together. Both activities involve a significant level of mutual trust. S&M sex practices in particular, obviously require far more trust between two adults than more conventional sex, due to the potential physical risks involved (violence, asphyxiation etc). People can be very vulnerable while participating in these acts - just as Shad was, laying naked on his front on his bed with a chain around his neck, and Taylor Schabusiness on his back, pulling on that chain beyond anything that could be pleasurable for him. In police interviews she admitted she noticed when he started bleeding from his mouth, but rather than stop, she pulled harder. She had no intention of stopping, it was clear she was determined to kill him. The poor guy obviously trusted her a great deal, to agree to be that vulnerable with her. Having been on the receiving end of similar sadistic sex acts with her in the past, he had no reason to think she would strangle him to death while he was incapacitated and couldn't defend himself. While he consented to sex acts like her throttling him, he did not consent to being murdered - or obviously, to being dismembered after death. Shad would never have imagined the depraved indignities Schabusiness would inflict on his lifeless body, first decapitating him and placing his severed head in a bucket, then dismembering him (including cutting off his genitals), and stabbing his torso to disembowel and remove other organs. Shad was a long-term friend and lover of Taylor Schabusiness, so he was betrayed in the worst possible way. That was my point.

These court-appointed attorneys are something else again! I guess there are all levels of competence in all professions. And Wisconsin taxpayers are paying for them.
He's gonna try to say that what she said during the interrogation doesn't count because she was still under the influence of the drugs. I mean...he has to say something...but I'm sure he realizes nobody gives a poop about that. He knows she is going to be convicted; he's really just aiming to get her committed to the looney bin instead of prison. But he will have no joy on that because she should never be allowed out in public again. If they send you to the mental hospital, doctors decide when you are "well" enough to be let out. If you get LWOP, you don't get to leave prison until you're in a body bag.
They will do that to protect the person's identity or privacy. Usually it's only if the person is a minor or the case has already out them at serious risk. For example, Cheyenne Harris's mom was not shown during her testimony because she had already had to move because of the harassment and death threats she was receiving due to what her daughter did (murdered her infant son by starvation.)
Not calm, in shock. I’ve never experienced anything this traumatic but I’ve dealt with trauma and your brain has a way of compartmentalizing things for survival. No other way she would survive seeing that.
I feel really bad for everyone except the perp of course but most especially for Steve Hendricks as it appears to have affected him in a very deep way.
@@nicolekear3911I kind of agree. I know that Taylor confessed (even though her confession/interrogation had me raising an eyebrow at some of the questions), but Steve has me a bit skeptical here. (I'm late to the trial, so I'm starting at the beginning and trying to catch up.) And, presumably because of her confession, the prosecutor isn't asking Steve more probative questions that could be helpful. Steve says he spent the day (before or after, I forget) fighting with Tara. The prosecutor should've asked what they were fighting about, but he skipped right over that. I wouldn't be surprised if Steve was upset that his girlfriend's adult son was using their (his?) house as a laundromat, crash pad, drug den, etc., and waking him up at all hours of the night to do so. It also seemed weird to me that he waited around "trying to figure out what to do" and then called the regular, nonemergency police line. I mean, clearly Shad was already dead, but I'm pretty sure it's still an emergency, considering the murderer could still be in the home or is at least at large. But he didn't want all the noise and sirens... Idk, we'll see how this plays out.

Even when someone admits it, they are entitled to a trial by a jury of their peers. Innocent until proven guilty. It's in our Constitution. Of course, if the admission is on video, then the conviction should be easy.
✨Wisconsin trials are my favorite: Mark Jensen (x2), Chandler Halderson, William Zelenski, Zachariah Anderson, Jeffrey Dahmer, etc... Taylor Schabusiness is straight up bizarre. I've watched all her pre-trial hearings (i.e. the doctor's psychiatric evaluations). I often see her making strange contorted facial expressions, like you would see in someone who's out of touch with reality. She's also a serious drug addict, and I'm sure that has gravely affected her brain. I do believe she is a tremendous danger to society, and I hope she's incarcerated for the remainder of her life⚖️
William Brown, the DA from the Chandler Halderson trial, gives the most amazing opening/closing statements of all time imo. He's the best I've ever seen.
I hope they lock her in a tiny cell with someone who deserves it - like Lori Vallow, or Letecia Stauch! Let the evil witches fight it out. We can dream!

She also told the officers that was F'ed up when they first told her that her boyfriend had been dismembered. And didn't deny it she had marijuana, coke, meth and had snorted trazadone all in her system. Combined with the fact that she's bipolar depressive as well, she was a ticking timebomb.

It seems insanity is the only defense her lawyer can plead, Meth wakes up the monster inside of people she acted out what she thought about doing.

They've been fooling around for years. She was somewhat normal I suppose. He had no idea this was coming. Complete broadside 😲
It's none of your SCHA BUSINESS
She looks down most of the time but when they showed the “body cam” footage of the bucket she looks up the whole time.

Why is Mom's testimony not allowed for us to see or hear? WTF
They will do that to protect the person's identity or privacy. Usually it's only if the person is a minor or the case has already out them at serious risk. (I'm late to the trial, so I'm starting at the beginning and trying to catch up.)
And, presumably because of her confession, the prosecutor isn't asking Steve more probative questions that could be helpful.

She got that look like all these mofos need to mind Schabusiness! 😤
She will be able to appeal this as she has the worse Defense attorney I have ever seen.
I hope she is tied down - Chemically or physically. That woman looks weird to me
@lkhan El. Thankyou buddy. My tv is now at the beginning of the trial. Thanks everyone. I wanted to watch the opening statements during lunch.🙂🌹
Don't Do drugs!!!
This Judge is serious and honest 🙌🙌👍
He's boring but okay.
I think he is just trying to get through it quickly because it's a heavy and painful case for the victim and family. Just my opinion 🙌🙌
This lady is sick either with drugs or mental health issues if not both😳
@@Shhh396 Oh and I'm sure he is. He is doing his job so can't really complain, but charisma is a big zero.
@@Romulan2469I mean is he supposed to he captivating? He's a job, he's doing his job. It'd a murder trial, sorry he isn't more fun 😂
They were not allowed to show the witness and they did, so they cut the feed !
I'm thinking she'll pounce on her attorney before this is over bc she needs the Jury to be convinced she's crazy!! Better hide any SHARP OBJECTS!
She looking at the recording to see her work I’m amazed how mom isn’t freaked out I be freaked even I watching chain saw massacre I can’t see the bodies I can’t look at
there's someone exactly like this woman residing in Milford CT. ORM. very disturbed people behave like this woman and sadly most get away with it
It would not take me any time to find her guilty on all charges
yea she straight up confessed to everything
How was the mom so calm on the phone? the only thing I can guess is it had to have been shock
The fact that she is smiling throughout this whole thing is just sick.
of course she is sick.. 👹
I cannot nor want to watch this trial. Why do these people waste our resources?
Everyone is due a trial
Her real name is Taylor Denise Coronado and I find it strange she changed her name to Sha Business since the victims first name was Shad
@caitlynfreeman9604 I agree!
Wow Really? I wonder if this was her first murder then? I wouldn't want to be sharing a cell with her... 😳 because, it's not bound to be her last!!
Shad is a weird name.
@@andrewpants3958omg that poor kid. Shad? . sounds like a gay name. Like bruce or tad . 😂
People, her name has nothing to do with Shad. Schabusiness is her MARRIED name. Not sure if her husband Warren had already changed his last name before they got married, or if they both changed it to that when they got married. Yes, people can and do make up new last names for themselves when they get married, but usually they aren’t this stupid.
@@whooptydoo6256There is a man who has a pretty decent RUclips channel about medieval weapons and castles. He isn't gay, and his name is Shad. It's called Shadiversity.
The judge looks shocked.
I think he looks bored. He knows the case.
what's her attorneys named captain obvious? I know he's doing his job but really. almost felt like he was asking. questions just to be asking questions. or at least they seemed to lead nowhere.
I think he’s seriously just had to do his job either way and he just had to ask questions to make it look like it. He knew full well that she was guilty and she admitted it during their investigator interviews so there’s really no getting out of it. She is entitled to her defense but we all know she’s a nut job, including her defense attorneys. I don’t think it’s the same one that she attacked before either. I think she obviously had to get new attorneys lol or excuse me public defenders.
I'm confused why does her lawyer need to show her every item that the prosecution have put in as evidence
her lawyer is an idiot. I can’t believe the amount of irrelevant, redundant questions he’s asking the officers.
She has a right to defend herself (unfortunately) so she gets to see all evidence that is presented against her
I mean how does the media get it wrong that this woman did not want to be a videoed? It's hard enough she had to sit there in front of that monster, then know that she was being videoed after it was supposedly agreed upon that she would not be. Come on now
Defense attourney just seems to be wasting time or trying to get air time…
I think this Prosecutor modeled his Opening Statement after William Brown’s from the Chandler Halderson trial. Smart move.
I was thinking the opposite. William Brown had me on the edge of my seat with his story-telling. I found my mind wandering with this prosecutor.
@@PamanasuejoI just mean I think that’s what he was going for- the same style and phrasing and tone. Not that it was as good as Mr. Brown’s.
I thought the same. He's trying to be a William Brown. Maybe someday he'll get there. I can tell he is trying to embody William Brown, which is a good thing. Brown is the best story teller I've ever heard in a courtroom.
Brown was far more confident and better at owning the room than this guy but I have a feeling this guy here is fresh meat. He still did alright.
But man... I must have watched Browns opening and closing 3X bc I was so impressed with his delivery
@@PamanasuejoI agree. This prosecutor didn’t tell the story in a way that pulls you in..
He and William Brown even look a bit alike!
We can only assume how we would react. When such a mind shocking event takes place the minds need to protect itself sets in and one of the affects is shock leaving in that moment a a total detachment from the event. My point in the whole bashing the mom further proves how judgmental people have become with little to no grounds or reasonably educated knowledge. The court of public opinion convicts with only one side heard and/or only tainted evidence from highly bias sources. In this case the mom is crucified due to a minute in one friggin phone call. By way of social media and content such as this people have been exposed all while they believe themselves to be "Informed" ; this has left me with a justified growing concern with and wary of our jury system today. As jury aged individuals grow ever more sanctimonious and closed minded all while being totally lost on the whys and hows on the concept of questioning those on the stand works; every American better pray that they never find themselves wrongfully before a jury.
The cop that first looked had to ask the guy yo stop and not go up. Hes like wait n then all quiet like. Is that realyy what think it is.
Why is this even a trial if she admitted to it all?… and the defense is not claiming “not guilty by reason of insanity”?!?
Even when someone admits it, they are entitled to a trial by a jury of their peers. Innocent until proven guilty. It's in our Constitution. Of course, if the admission is on video, then the conviction should be easy.
I ❤ this judge
I'm surprised prosecution didn't object "asked and answered"
But the defense attorney is basically repeating the state's evidence for them. Never interrupt your opponent when he is busy making a mistake.
I hope Schabusiness is chained to her seat and the floor, she looks like she wants to attack her lawyer again!!
I do believe she is a tremendous danger to society, and I hope she's incarcerated for the remainder of her life⚖️
I agree!
I live in Kenosha, so Mark J and Zachariah A are in my backyard. This trial interests me greatly since l am from Green Bay.
William Brown, the DA from the Chandler Halderson trial, gives the most amazing opening/closing statements of all time imo. He's the best I've ever seen.
Don't forget Darrell Brooks
What's in the cheese?
@VickieAlbin right! Darrell is something else man
I would be scared of her if she was my neighbour. Those eyes lol
I hope they lock her in a tiny cell with someone who deserves it - like Lori Vallow, or Letecia Stauch! Let the evil witches fight it out. We can dream!
Very strange to me that the mom isn't very upset on 911 call after finding her son's head severed in a bucket!
Shock I'd imagine
You have no clue how you would react if you found yourself in the same situation.
@@lchaney This is true...I imagine she was in a state of severe shock.
I think many of us feel the same way you do very strange
Complete shock
This defense attorney was just grasping at straws. Literally just sending the same questions back to every witness that the prosecution did. Got on my nerves.
Imagine finding your sons head in a bucket and being this calm on 911 call. 🤯
In shock
