I watched this the other day and I'm just coming back to comment because I was just chatting to my wife about wanting to try my hand at street outreach and realised I'd taken a lot from this and I'm going to watch it again because there's some really great advice in there. Thank you for this video. 👍🌱 I went vegan 10 years ago. I lost my way and forgot about the victims. Out of sight, out of mind mentality. But I have come back to veganism thanks to you and your discussion with Charlie (not this video - the one dedicated to that discussion). That discussion with Charlie was very, very powerful and pierced right to the heart. 💖
The Christian girl started using your techniques on you to try to get you to be Christian. She agreed with you when you had common ground. She repeated your words back at you. It may seem like she was coming around to veganism, but she was just trying to effectively get you to come around to Christianity. Maybe I'm wrong and she will go vegan, but don't forget her motivation in this conversation.
I can agree with the 'people like listening to heated debates' topic. We've got a really direct activist here in germany. Mostly a youtube and tiktok star. Nearly every young person knows her. And it is really funny to see: the videos with the most views are either embarrassing (cuz she does nearly everything for veganism) or the not really productive ones where she lost it. But without this content veganism would not be a thing young people would hear and speak about. I watched her comment section: In the beginning almost every comment was a troll comment. But know it's almost the opposite. At least here on RUclips. (I don't use tiktok) 'First they ignore you, then they laugh at you, then they fight you, then you win'
That “I can’t take of myself” excuse… I went vegan at 15. Still dependent on my family. That’s no excuse. I feel very powerless in my own life, honestly, but being vegan is so easy. It’s just a bad excuse.
I resonate with this vegan comedian David Ramms Because of laughs at 1% of the population who are killers and I have someone threatening I’ll end up dead. Could you do a self defence guide to surviving a psychopath. At the moment a psychopath who raped me at 19 saying he would do bad things if I didn’t do what he said after 10 years is sending me watch threats and money demands I am going to court on 9th December the restraining order would last only 1 year but I’m scared he won’t stop until he has killed me please in court how do I not have a panic attack as recently leading up to the court session I started having elephant chest pain it’s not my diet I am already vegan wfpb following the diet of dr esseltyne but ate junk food vegan before then anyway- I am really trying to stay strong but I was a virgin this started and feel so broken right now that
I know he’s putting on a show for RUclips, that first guy you’re talking to, but some people watching him are going to believe him. They’re going to hear that about humans evolving because we had “protein” in our bellies and think “yeah! He’s right!”
He reapeats himself soo much it's ridiculous. I'm only 10 minutes in and he's said 'assess the situation' half a dozen different times in half a dozen different ways. It's exhausting.
