Thanks Jay have a wonderful day. this is just me I splurge on eggs I get the pasture raised for $4.99 I can eat less eggs and maximize the nutrients but I only eat the yokes the whites I use for shampoo and soap!
I like how Jay is so matter of fact about shopping for price. The grocery store can kill your whole budget these days, and yet the food tubers and vloggers are always suggesting we eat insanely expensive foods and supplements. All those videos do is make you feel bad for being fat, then make you feel bad for not being able to afford the stuff that supposedly will make you thin. Keto/Paleo/Carnivore are based on principles, not profits, you can achieve your goals with what money you have, if you are frugal and smart with your dollars. Thanks, Jay.
Yes, they have! They advertise So much stuff I can’t afford at all. 2krazyketos are that way. I quite watching them. They get paid to use the products. Hmmmm.
No pork belly available in my area. Aldi had it in their ad this week for $2.99/lb I got 6 packages. Their Irish butter is also good. I picked up 10 for $3.09@
Good for you. It’s important if you’re trying to control autoimmune issues to not slip up and eat carbs. Pay attention to what your body’s telling you.
We finally have an Aldi's, but it's an hour and a half away. We're taking our first trip there tomorrow. I can't wait to see what kinds of deals I can get on organic and grass-fed products. Thanks for the video!
@@Jaylwoodworth we hit it as soon as the doors opened and I got a bunch of meat for up to 30-50% off, plus so many grass-fed and organic foods. I'm definitely making the trip there at least once a month.
@@JaylwoodworthI know right! There are so many unneeded things in food nowadays. I am 16 and so glad I found out about all the unhealthy seed oils, sweeteners and emulsifiers early in life.
I like how practical Jay is about prices too! I shop at Aldi all the time (I love them!) and I’ve never seen brisket there. Maybe I’m not looking hard enough. Also their Kirkwood turkey breakfast sausage says zero carbs and zero added sugar but lists sugar as an ingredient. I wonder what that means. Maybe a negligible amount of sugar is used? Thanks for the video, buddy!
It looks like your Aldi is a much bigger store then the ones around me. You have a whole wall of meat, we have like 10 feet for all the meats, beef, chicken and pork.
I'm going to check out aldi for my husband's steaks! That's a great price on ribeye roasts. We're on day 2 of carnivore. Thank God we haven't killed each other yet LOL irritability is running high today. xD
@@Jaylwoodworth I did carnivore myself two years ago and It was easier without him but he has mental health problems and he's hoping it'll help. He tried it once before but he couldn't handle me not doing it with him. So I decided to jump on it again. I don't know if I'll stay carnivore past 90 days but I'll probably stay keto just due to pcos.
I can't believe how cheap food is in the U.S.... On Vancouver Island everything is more than double what you are mentioning except for the pork chops that seem to be a similar price to what I bought on sale last week here. Organic Coffee that I get is $20.00 per pound regular price so I never get it unless it is on a good sale price. I am getting some ground beef on sale as steaks are getting beyond my budget now. I admire you for how strict you are with your food. Rib steaks last week here were $29.00 each steak...
ALDI has the cheapest grocery prices that I've seen here in Connecticut. Trader Joe's charges almost $20/lb for rib steaks, which is about $27 Canadian, and Trader Joe's is supposed to be cheap. We are lucky here though that we have some cheaper options, but you have to know where to look. The problem with ALDI is that the quality can be hit or miss. Trader Joe's is more reliable.
I know things like grassfed, pasture raised, organic, etc more ideal for foods. However, is it still considered substantially healthier than standard "diet" for you to buy meats, cheeses, butters that aren't all those things? I assume it is healthier than standard American diet, but just want others thoughts. Thanks! Gulit sets in when cant but all the "best".
Myself, I think we should try to eat the best that we can afford. I’d love to est only grass fed meat, but I can’t afford it. So I eat regular meat. Maybe it’s not as healthy, but for me it’s much healthier than non-carnivore. I can’t afford organic or raw dairy very often either, but my half gallon of raw milk twice per month is the only dairy that I ever eat. No need to feel any guilt.
I think diet is a very individual thing. What works for one doesn’t necessarily work for others. It’s important for each of us to figure out the best diet for us.
@@Jaylwoodworth My husband started asking about the meats that are supposed to be on sale and they almost always bring more out from the back storage areas. If you can find someone to ask.
I don’t know what my acidic level is, but I have not had heartburn or acid reflux once since I started carnivore, whereas I suffered from it frequently before I started.
No, my cholesterol was frighteningly high before I started this diet. After 7 months, everything is back within normal range. There are a lot of myths about cholesterol out there.

I just bought 2 standing rib roast from aldi. the excellent and a good price. You can get 3-4 meals out of it.
Thanks Jay!

Helpful,cheers.
All Atlantic salmon is farm raised. You don’t need to look for coloring. Wild salmon is only from the pacific (Alaska).
I love the cod from Aldi's... broiled, grilled or sauteed in garlic butter
So yummy
Hmmm, I will sautée mine in butter with some salt. I always love it that way.

From reading and paying attention. It's amazing what you see when you actually read the labels!

A tip on pork chops - try to get an entire pork loin. Then cut that into servings.
