ivi122 The amount of footage you have... even just visiting one place... can be A LOT. Hours worth. No one wants to watch that much. I prefer basic editing in the videos I watch, nothing fancy. Which is how I also edit my videos. But everyone has their own unique style. But trust me, you do not want a RUclips full of unedited videos. You’d be watching an hour-long vlog that was a complete mess.
Just Call Me Annie yeah I understand but at the same time it’s not their real life...they put out what they want and that’s why some ppl have the wrong idea that you tubers or travelers have such perfect lives. I’m not naive but some ppl are. I just want some videos to be just real and non edited bec it would be genuine and real and also real funny lol
yeah i struggled for years to even go there cause i like good food and the first time we went the food at the resort was like OMG bad.... made a trip to the farmer's market and we had great street food. then we went again and met cubans (santiago area) there is so much good food, just not at resorts. cuba needs way more videos like this one! i fell in love so much that i want to open a small restaurant there. you have every reason to be proud of being cuban!
I have discovered Kara and Nate a month ago. So far I binge watched around 200 vlogs. YOU ARE SUCH AN INSPIRATION AND MY SAFE HAVEN during exams at uni. Love your approach to other cultures and a way of travelling and showing it to others. Keep going! Lots of luck!
***WARNING*** - THE KARA AND NATE YOU TUBE CHANNEL CAN BE HABIT FORMING! This is due to the fascinating content (travel), warm and adventurous personalities, and top shelf video production/editing.
Too late. I have started from video #1. And, well, here I am. Lol Live the videos. So fun and easy to watch...with a cup of coffee in hand, if course 😉
Pan con pasta is more of a spread you eat at Cuban parties. You eat it with their Cuban macaroni salad and croquettas. The locals eat it if there selling like that cause it's something to eat. Most people dont have a lot of food options like here in the United States. This brings back memories to me, as a child my mom would do the same and others. Their was a lady that would sell snacks like that in the morning and my mom would buy me a sandwhich for school - while heading to school. It's the simple things like this made from locals that just bring comfort. Great video :).
I went from catching up with all of your past videos by watching five or six videos a day. Now that I’ve seen them all, it’s been hard waiting for a new video to come out!!!
I'm just going to live vicariously through this video..dream of riding around in a fabulous car in the warm sunshine where the ice cream is melting... I'll have an afternoon cup of coffee... That I can do!!
You guys are living my dream😍 6 months ago I came back from a year of travel and it has been the best year of my life. I started watching your video’s while studying for my finals in college and I was wondering why I didn’t just step on a plane and start traveling again. I hope I can do what you guys are doing after I finished college. You guys are so inspirational!!!
As cuban I have to say this is the first video that explains and talk about how cuban food and some other stuff actually are! Beautiful video! Loved it! I miss my country already 😞
Hi Kara and Nate - We love the food tours - thank you so much for sharing - The food looked really delicious. We so understand the time it takes to make the videos - and yes we to have to have buckets of coffee LOL !!! - Chris and Marianne
your videos are my favorite, thank you for your kindness you display and the openness you bring to your travels and the effort you put into making these. it's a true youtube gem
I'm cuban and i love the way that you talk about my country. I live in USA and i will love meet countrys like you gays. I just found out your channel and i subcribed right away.
The Cuban lady that sells from her window, how cute! Here in Miami we have hundreds of restaurants that have a window that you can walk up to and get Cuban coffee and snacks, it’s called a “ventanita” which translates to “little window” 🤗. So that’s very prominent in our food culture! And yup, Cuban coffee is our lifeline here! Cortadito, coladas...best! The pan con pasta here in Miami is made with ham and is served in smaller buns and is definitely much tastier than the one you had looked like! They’re served at parties along with other tasty snacks like croquetas, pastelitos de guayaba, etc... Honestly for the best Cuban food you guys seriously need to come to Miami! Video was beautifully made, your dedication and editing skills shine!! Hoping to visit my family’s homeland very soon (for political reasons I haven’t yet gone) ! Viva Cuba Libre! 🇨🇺
Oh wow! That’s so interesting that you can “window shop” in Miami too! That was one of my favorite parts of Cuba!!!!Sounds like we need to come to Miami soon ❤️😍
I've been living in Miami for 2 years now and the first thing I learnt was cafecito & croquetas! I did not know where that ventanita came from! I am from Peru and even when we share latin roots, we do not put that much sugar in a small coffee with "espumita" and croquetas in peru means dog food. xD I am impressed with the price difference between Miami vs Cuba!
Kara and Nate we would LOVE to have you here in Miami & show you around the best Cuban “ventanitas”! We have a huge Cuban community that’ve made their lives here after escaping as political refugees starting in the 1960’s after communism took over (my family included). Over the years, Miami’s welcomed millions more predominantly across Central and South America looking for better lives as well as escaping their own countries’ instabilities. Miami overall feels like a country all on its own. I’ve never felt like I’ve really lived in the US here 😆. But yeah, best Cuban food hands down is here!
Lourdes! Came to say the same thing. I'm from Miami too and it's so fun watching them eat some of the food I grew up with but that's like... slightly different haha.
Lol just the irony of saying that they need to go to Miami, aka the U.S for the best Cuban food, when they're literally IN CUBA where that food originated.
Loved your Cuba Series I have been to Cuba over 25 times and would spend 2 weeks to a month there at a time. I loved the Cuban people and time there so much life is hard there for the people.🙂❤👍
The opening scene with the french press & the coffee...literally made the hair on my arms stand up. As someone who loves to create vlogs, the shots are amazing!!!
I'm constantly amazed at the food you both put away, and the fact you aren't twice your current size. :-) Another great video and a good one too because it focussed on food!!
Thank you for letting us know about the Cuban sandwich! I had a feeling when you explained about the bread it might not be authentic. I will call them Miami sandwiches now. 😊
I'm so addicted to watching kara and nates videos I started watching a week ago and Ive watched all the recent videos from about 4 months ago up until the recent video now I've watching from Canada videos up to where I started at first then I'm. Going to watch from the beginning up until. Canada, watching in such a strange order but I can't stop xx
I found your channel right before my IVF transfer and I had cut coffee out completely for 5 months then just went to one cup a day because I was pregnant. It was SO DIFFICULT to watch your videos. It made me crave coffee so much. Love your videos!
warning ... Cuba you can survive on very it is not the place you want to be without money. I do not reccomend going to Cuba with little money. it is true you can get food items for far less than in the US many of the things people want are more expensive or impossible to find in Cuba. The places to save money in Cuba are on lodging get a inexpensive room. I rent a private room for $25 a day . also keep in mind if your using US dollars you will loose 13%. I have seen many people run out of money. recently I helped a friend in Cuba when a client he was guiding ran out of money. The man would have gone to jail for not paying his rent without help. Take my warning budget big bring extra money, live frugally while in Cuba and bring the money home whatever you do do not go to Cuba thinking you can live on $2 a day like a Cuban while your are on vacation. my budget $150 a day ... then I double it and bring an extra $1000 as emergency funds. I want to have enough money incase of a hurricane or whatever to be able to move to a hotel or a better Casa if I need. Cuba is fun with money in your pocket, to live in Cuba as a Cuban is a struggle for most American an impossible struggle. There is a real reason so many Cubans risked their lives trying to cross an ocean. The other thing is it is important to help Cubans with what you can. Like buying coffee yes you can get Coffee for .25 , I always pay $1. In the USA at Starbucks most people drop $4 for their twice a day lattes. In Cuba they cry about having to pay a $1 for coffee that is 100 times better than Starbucks ever imagined. I cannot understand this type of thinking. Budget to tip .. you do not have to tip large amounts most cubans will understand if you can only give a dollar its because you only have a dollar and to them that is enough it is the fact that your made the offer to help them by tipping not the amount. those small tips open up a world of fun. You risk missing a entire world by not allowing yourself to be part of it. Like in this Video its a nice video but I also ended up thinking they really did not see Cuba .. they saw tourist Cuba. Maybe I am lucky I think because I can pass for Cuban. Often people are not sure if I am Cuban or not. This has allowed me to see Cuba and get into places most tourist would not be allowed. Cuba can give you an inexpensive trip but do not be cheap in Cuba, the few dollars you spend in Cuba are how many people survive. Once you are there you will see what I mean and be glade you can help. When you leave, those items you can live without let them remain in Cuba for many your used name brand items are the only way for many cubans to have the things we have.
Omg so excited 😆 i was waiting for this video. Im from Havana, literally i see this and its like im walking on my old neighborhood. Thank you so much for bringing a little bit of home to me 🥰
Thanks for the Trade code!! we just ordered some with your promo. Also heads up, the code “karanate” is working but “karanate2” is not. Thanks for taking us around Havana :)
Hi there, thanks for your interest in Trade! Just wanted to provide an update that both the "karanate" and "karanate2" codes are working. If you experience any issues with these, please call our Customer Care team at (888) 252-8691.
Such a great video!! Cuba is so different and I’m still learning. Your guide was so great for y’all and made things much better for the experience and understanding the history. Stay you 😘
Yay! Absolutely love your videos and get excited when I see one has posted. I've followed you on IG for awhile now but have never paid attn to the story part, on yours or anyones. I do now and love those little snippets and am so bummed I never watched them before.
I see Cuban people manage to create things with what they can find, those fry chips for example I also see that now they can sell lobster, for sure was a government restaurante because the people can not fishing in the beaches that is why none of the restaurants sell fish, other thing is why you did not went to a hotel and eat ther so you and everybody can see the difference of the food for tourist and locals? that would be a good way to help people to show how that criminal government treat their own people
Roxana Bell im very happy they went for a more local experience and helped the locals instead of giving money to expensive, communist government owned establishments!
@@chantalcarlson Varadero is only a turist paradis and those Cuban who works there are very lucky ..maybe they dont earn much money but they can take food our actully steal it and sell it on the black marked no big deal thats is how the system works every person does it... so every person who have something to do with tourisme is the one who have it little better then so so so many other people
The colors of Cuba are so beautiful. The buildings, the cars and even the way people dress. Thank you for another fascinating journey to a country I'm not likely to see in person.
Cuba looks so amazing. Love your videos thank you for sharing your adventures. I can't wait to be able to go and visit Cuba. The people seem so friendly there.
Kara and Nate I told u this before but u should really come to the travel show on feb 9-10 in Boston Ma!!! It’s such a nice city with deep history and I could maybe meet you!
Ooh! The streets of Havana are so beautiful! I'm glad you're eating local stuff, it seems like a lot of people go and eat at fancy restaurants and don't experience much of the local culture. Good on ya.
Go now do not wait Cuba is changing fast ... you will miss it. When I first went you could take a photo down a street a mile long and only see cars from the 50s ... today its hard to get a photo of only the old cars. They are restoring building and adding new hotels it is changing the entire scene. they even have high end shopping like a pen for $600.
I stumbled upon your channel during this time of world self isolation and wanted to say this is a fantastic vid, I love Cuba ❤ it's my piece of paradise that I continue to travel time after time, and it's going to be the first place I will travel to again when the world returns to some sort of normalcy
Thank you for visiting my home country!! I stared following you and watching your videos just 3 days ago and so far I have watched more than 20. Well done guys. I’m taking ideas for my bucket list! Keep filming!
8 hours per video?! No wonder they’re always so beautifully done. It definitely shows.
Kate Wallick Yes! Editing takes forever. It’s exhausting.
Kate Wallick idk why ppl edit to be honest. Why not show the true video without having to edit the shit out of it?

Kyle Estrella they’re living the dream aren’t they! 😍
I loved your video, guys! I'm Cuban and your video is a picture of life in Cuba today, on a weekend. Thanks for this piece of joy!
Thank you for letting us know about the Cuban sandwich! I had a feeling when you explained about the bread it might not be authentic. I will call them Miami sandwiches now. 😊
Glynis Rogers it’s called a Cuban sandwich bc there is a LOT of Cubans in Miami
You idiots they would have Cuban sandwiches in Cuba if they weren’t socialists and had FOOD
Glynis Rogers no, still a Cuban sandwich. Meat is difficult to find in Cuba, and we bring our culture from Cuba to Miami, ergo - cuban sand-which.
I'm so addicted to watching kara and nates videos I started watching a week ago and Ive watched all the recent videos from about 4 months ago up until the recent video now I've watching from Canada videos up to where I started at first then I'm. You’re an idiot - wtf are you gonna eat in Cuba?
I am traveling to Cuba for one month next month on a low budget. This is exactly what I needed to watch. Thank you! :)
Have fun! Eat some street pizza for us!

Communism sucks!
Such a great video!! Cuba is so different and I’m still learning. Your guide was so great for y’all and made things much better for the experience and understanding the history.
Stay you 😘
When Kara said " I know ", I was laughing. Haha. LOL. Also laughing when Nate was explaining the Wi-Fi parks.
Am I the only one who thinks that the tour guide looks a little bit like Dev Patel?
He has such a lovely demeanor! I wish him the best.
No, no you're not.
I didn’t think this, but now I do
im a cuban too
Nandini Daga I think is more handsome than Patel

Roxana Bell That would have also been good to see.
Actually Cuban are allowed to fish...they just can't have boats. This makes the Coral reefs beautiful and untouched in many areas.
bro i seen cubans fish when i was in habana
@@chantalcarlson Varadero is only a turist paradis and those Cuban who works there are very lucky ..maybe they dont earn much money but they can take food our actully steal it and sell it on the black marked no big deal thats is how the system works every person does it... so every person who have something to do with tourisme is the one who have it little better then so so so many other people
I've only been to Cuba once, so far, and I loved the bread, the music, and the beautiful people so much. This video makes me want to go back soon!
The colors of Cuba are so beautiful. The buildings, the cars and even the way people dress. Thank you for another fascinating journey to a country I'm not likely to see in person.
This was a wonderful video, thank you so much I always wanted to see how the local fast food prices and eateries worked.
After spending the last two months binge watching from vlog 1, I’ve caught up and now have to wait for updates! I don’t like it!! 😂
Good on ya.
I feel like I am watching a Travel show. The two of you are so informative and fun😀
Love the cars in Cuba, all old but beautifully maintained
I wanna know how much coffee Kara will have drank by the time they reach their 100th country :)
It's in their website actually
We love street food tours! It was one of our highlights in Colombia.
I thought the cruise line threw you guys into the Pacific.. Its been 1 week lol..!😁😅

❤️❤️❤️
I would love to go to Cuba 😍😍😍 looks fantastic
it’s incredible. i’ve been once before and i’m going next week! it’s so much fun!
David agreed
Yay!!!! Another video!!! Missing you guys.
Aww I miss Cuba the guy who was selling the churros still works there and you can still hear music all the way from plaza vieja
Check out our Cuban vlogs as well if you want :)
Tulips Abroad okay thanks
You won't believe I grew the habit of drinking coffee everyday in the morning and at night before bed just by seeing you guys! ❤
Morning AND night? We’ve created a monster!😉

Your camera is so good it doesn’t even look like your there. Great video btw 😃
I stumbled upon your channel during this time of world self isolation and wanted to say this is a fantastic vid, I love Cuba ❤ it's my piece of paradise that I continue to travel time after time, and it's going to be the first place I will travel to again when the world returns to some sort of normalcy
Looks like we have to add Cuba to our list of travels now....😂
SAME HERE! Cuba looks amazing. Hopefully we'll go in 2019 :)
Thank you for visiting my home country!! I stared following you and watching your videos just 3 days ago and so far I have watched more than 20. Well done guys. I’m taking ideas for my bucket list! Keep filming!
