- Fast, furious, fabulously colourful fight between Jacobites and Williamites in the hedgerows of Co Galway in 1691. See Donnybrook skirmish rules in action as everyone attempts to - KILL HERBERT!
These are probably the most exciting and action packed AARs around and sprinkeled with excellent tidbits of humour. Well done !
Wonderful to hear, thank you and aI am glad my warped humour is shared by others :)
Looks like an unpredictable and fun scenario. Beautiful miniatures and terrain, awesome. Congratulations!
Thanks MMW. Yes Donnybrook is extremely unpredictable.
This definitely makes me want to check out Donnybrook!
You won't be disappointed Wendy. We always love it when we play it.
Brilliant loved it .... if only the Irish had been so convincing in real life 😆🤦🏻♂️☘️
Well they definitely had the LUCK of the Irish in this one. All the random negative events hit their opponents. Glad you liked it!
@@leagueofaugsburg9036 I haven’t played in about 8 years. But I think your sucking me back in 👍🏻
@@jeffjedifitz I'm like a dealer!
probably the most interesting / enjoyable wargame ive watched so far :) good work
Glad you enjoyed it! Lots more to come
Awesome game! Barry will you and Clarence ever set up a demo game at Historicon again? Maybe Just Clarence since you are across the pond...
Thank you for this Patrick, much appreciated. I would love to visit Historicon in the future so please don't give up hope that Clarence and I will 'ride again' :)
@@leagueofaugsburg9036 Looking forward to it! Maybe I will even have my Rising of 1719 armies on the table for you to view!
Really fun video. Forcing me to dust off my Donnybrook stuff. how can I get the random cards?
Thanks. A complete set of 30 original cards will be included in the pdf when it is released next week.
Barry count me in for this scenario pack !!!!!!
Lovely bat rep my friend
Ireland is a never ending well of ideas both for small and large games Johnny.Glad you like it.
Now to do that sort of shenanigans in New France with Phip's attack on Quebec...
I have created the scenario packs for that but not done a video; www.leagueofaugsburg.com/shop/product-975.html
As always a real pleasure to watch, great batrep with beautiful terrain, figures...and explosion markers! We are in the center of the battle!👍👍
Thanks Phil, I was hoping for that effect so glad to hear it worked for you.
Great looking game! Quick question, if I may? I love your cloth/table mat. I assume it's teddy bear fur, but where did you get it? It looks great!
I made it. Thanks for the shout out.
@@leagueofaugsburg9036 Cool, did you spray or dye it?
Good and fun battlereport. I loved it. But I wonder where those minnis are from?
Warfare Miniatures of course! www.leagueofaugsburg.com/shop/products-cat-16.html
No words, just .. WONDERFUL!
That is a kind comment, thanks!
A brilliant scenario. Can't wait to have a go myself!
Thanks Ray. It is very unpredictable. The cards are in the pdf, so eveyone can share that option (or use them in other games).
A pleasure to watch! Could you give me some info about the miniatures you're using in the video... I also saw some lovely Paul Hicks sculpts among them.
Thanks for that! The Miniatures are from Warfare Miniatures: www.leagueofaugsburg.com/shop/products-cat-16.html
Not sure which sculpts you mean are Paul Hicks as they are all from Warfare except a Priest and a sniper which are Perry.
@@leagueofaugsburg9036 I didn't know about the Warfare Miniatures. Really comprehensive range. I thought that the grenadier Lieutenant and captain John O'Neill could came from underneath Paul Hicks hands. Nice sculpts... as are many other I saw on the page you provided. Is there maybe a dealer in EU with Warfare Miniatures?
@@WoodlandIndian Alas, since Brexit, things have been more challenging. I am based in Scotland and I own Warfare Miniatures. So everything comes from here. I do a huge amount of business with customers in Europe but obviously since our wonderful liberation :( customs charges have been applied by many countries. You can still order from us of course!
@@WoodlandIndian Incidentally, the wonderful sculptor is Clibinarium. I do have some P.Hick's sculpts in the range - ECW cavalry but the late 17th century stuff is ALL by Clib.
Brilliant on so many levels. Skirmish gaming at its best. I look forward to more.
Much appreciated William. Tonight I have been working on 'Looking for Lucan' - Patrick Sarsfield trapped on the wrong side of the Attibrassil Bridge.
@@leagueofaugsburg9036 looking forward to the next event.
Just love this ❤ please do another
Thank you!
Excellent and inspiring !
Appreciated Ray!
thank you
A pleasure Norm!
Super report & game
Thanks a lot! Makes it worhtwhile
Love it Barry, i definitely need to think about Donnybrook 👍🏻😊 ps just realised out of print! Any idea if you will re print?
Thanks as always. Re: reprinting, we have a reboot including Donnybrook Dark in the pipe so we'll probably hold back for that. Of course, I am a book guy too but - pdf will provide what is required in the interim!
Excellent.
Cheers Phil!
Excellent report!
Much appreciated Joe. Stay tuned and sign up! :)
What a belter. Great advert for Donnybrook Barry. I think Donnybrook generally gets less attention than other similar skirmish/small action rule sets.
Nice to see the hedges getting used.
Thanks Pat. Glad you spotted them! Donnybrook does its bit, quietly :)
One of the gold standards of battle reports as always. Once I get back on my feet I am going to have to buy all these rule sets
Thanks Martin. I hope you get back to where you want to be soon.
@@leagueofaugsburg9036 thanks yes brain injury sucks and really cuts into hobby time
