Thanks, I did, and I just caught my first instant crush in a loong time lol, so I really hope this chick is of a respectable age Edit: damn, just realized I was replying to a creator comment. If you saw/see this, I liked your delivery and respect your knowledge and wasn't trying to make you uncomfortable 😬
I love your content. I believe the longer Dino info dump the better. So YT is a great place for this and all those 3 part IGs. Cheers and happy Yule. Also welcome to the butch family, there aren't many of us left. I hope you have a good butch mentor, cuz it's very different than being trans identified cis male. Heart you, baby butch friend.
Commenting for encouragement!! I love your descriptions of fossils and how they emotionally effect you, because I feel very similar sentiments. I also would love to see more infodumps about Darwin if you have more in you, those are my favorites from you!
i'm glad you're here from other short form content!!! your excitement is always contagious, i could have a whole long-form video on almost every topic in this video from you
Seeing your passion for paleontology is do damn refreshing & exciting!!! And do have a great way with your research, connecting the dots & tying it all together into an understandable chain of concept is just amazing. Keep on it! Also Merry Christmas.
Welcome! A great PaleoRewind entry. And I actually learned something new about the evolution of pterosaurs today. Subscribed and looking forward to seeing more from you! Cheers! 💚
Commenting to boost new paleo youtuber for the new year. Love the enthusiasm and am looking forward to future videos. PS: The paleo-timeline on the side when talking about different finds is really cool.
I liked the timelines on the side a lot. Definitely keep those around they are a good way to keep all these periods straight and which animals lived when. Also excellent Her.rerrasaurus outro.
I found your content from the Darmok video and the "don't give up, there are dinosaurs" ones, and love your delivery style. I always enjoy listening to people who are both knowledgeable and *passionate* about a topic, so as long as you keep sharing that enthusiasm, I'll keep watching! Side note - you don't remind me at all of Young Sheldon, but that might be because I've known plenty of enbies with your general aesthetic. It's a fun vibe either way.
The time scale on the side of the video is something really unique and quietly brilliantly. I've been watching paleontology videos for over a decade and I still find myself going 'Okay, so this creature is from the Miocene. Which block of time is that again?' Having a visual representation on screen is really helpful. Big thumbs up on the video.
Glad to hear it's helpful! I found it really satisfying to put together, and I'll definitely be using this same graphic (or versions of it) in future videos
This was great! I love your energy, and your enthusiasm. And I'll be here for more of your videos. I also watch/listen to videos of varying lengths (some that go for hours), so go as long as you like.
This is awesome - always love your intelligent communication skills! Putting a truly vast amount of info into (almost) digestible bites. (“Almost” ‘cause my background knowledge of everything paleo is so rudimentary)
I was already familiar with some of the paper's mentioned (Longrich et al.'s floating hadrosaurid in particular). I somehow missed out on that remarkable ankylosaur discovery. I must admit, I'm happy to have finally heard it from you. True, February was a phenomenal month for Paleo-Mesozoic reptile people, but your presentation was especially engaging (your diagrams were great as well). Subscribed
this js so cool 4:25 ik the distance that animals can travel in those naturals rafts can be pretty big sometimes, but the distance between North America to Africa is pretty big, dunno if the dino could make that long of a journey, maybe they got to europe then got to Africa or something?
You are really good at this! Your narrative is clear, fascinating, and captivating. Well done! Keep it up! (Shit that's a lot of "!"s in one comment, but I think they're warranted 😊) 💚
Comment for encouragement! I have seen others bringing over what I suspect are TikTok mannerisms (repeated zooms, frenetic style, head popping up from all over the screen), and I don't like them. I like that you are informative and clear and the mannerisms are not distracting (in my opinion).
Oh god. I called you "Medium Sheldon" in a comment awhile back and now I'm super self-conscious about it. Love you more than it is reasonable to love a youtuber by the way. Also I'm memorizing the Geologic Time song so I can sing it to my friend's 5 year-old the next time I see them.
ahaha you're so fine. If the Young Sheldon joke were a callout for one specific person I wouldn't have made it (at least, not in a video) -- the reason it's funny is that *everyone* compares me to young Sheldon
Good job! Your delivery style is very different from the 'traditional talking head style'. it provides a really good time-line narrative for remebering context on evolution of various animals while being concise and entertaining. I think it complements the more traditional approach since they generally spend less time explaining the animals context to the broader ecosystem and its linage or tieing the time-lines together. they tend to be very indepth about specific aspects of a particular topic which is also useful but already a far more abundant delivery style. The only thing I can even nit-pick and it really is just a nit-pick is atleast once you accidentally flipped the 'arrow of time' between two visuals without explicitly including a direction marker in the legend... but as the graphic/ populates you do add it in your family tree graphics. Hopefully that eas helpful and makes sense, and I hope you continue with the style/type of content.
Newly introduced to your channel thru Paleo rewind. And I might be picking on you. Because I've never asked this question before. You mentioned, in your first story, (and this hasn't a damn thing to do with sharks) that mammalian/reptilian separation went back to the Permian. I have heard, on several occasions, that the mammalian line ie. synopsids, branched off from The reptilian line, ie. Diopsids. Yet, I have never heard of fossil evidence to support this. Now, it seems to me, an uneducated layman, that our mutual ancestor was probably anapsid. Pushing our separation date back considerably. Please show me where I am in error. Oh, and, I am enjoying your video. And now I am seeing that you don't usually do RUclips. That's a shame
Watch all the way through for bonus folk singing content
superb as ever. the news recap was quite good too ;-)

Great video!

Your videos make me happy. The enthusiasm, the clarity, the informativity and well, i get interested, and that always feels nice
Lovely to see you branch out to other platforms than TT. Congratulations for becoming part of the Paleo Rewind creators, and great job on the video! 👏
thank you!
Came here for the paleontology, stayed for the gorgeous singing
Yes, wow, the singing!
i loved hearing you gush about dinosaurs and fossils, this video really made my day
i'm glad you're here from other short form content!!! your excitement is always contagious, i could have a whole long-form video on almost every topic in this video from you
Wow I had no idea there was such a big gap in the pterosaur fossil record!
Seeing your passion for paleontology is do damn refreshing & exciting!!! And do have a great way with your research, connecting the dots & tying it all together into an understandable chain of concept is just amazing. Keep on it! Also Merry Christmas.
This is the first time I met you and I already like you

People forget that Apex predators are actually hyper specialized.
No one forgets that.
Love this! Your presentation style and incorporation of graphics are very engaging and professional. Can't wait to see this channel's future
You immortalized yourself, cool beans!
I liked the timelines on the side a lot. Definitely keep those around they are a good way to keep all these periods straight and which animals lived when. Also excellent Her.rerrasaurus outro.
We're glad you are here, and thank you!
Informative and entertaining. I’m of the parasurolōphus camp. You said ‘one of the only’. Thanks. Oh, and your singing is actually good!
Congratulations Astrid on the video, and welcome to RUclips! May you be as successful as Miniminuteman or Lindsay Nikole.
Fantastic job! I look forward to more!
Fantastic video!
You did great! I love your short form tiktok videos and this was wonderful too.

Keep talking about bones, please! You make paleontology very interesting 😊

I can't retain the facts, but I really enjoy the presentation.
Congratulations from chile🎉🎉🎉🎉
Love the content!
Nice job.
Encouragement! Praise! Dinosaurs!
(Seriously though this was great, well done)

I appreciate that a lot! Always feels great to earn the approval of people who are already informed and up to date on the world of paleontology :)
Nice
I loved the way you brought this list! Hope you can find your place here on youtube
I don't have TikTok so I've only seen you here, but I like the content, please keep up the good work 🦕🦖
this js so cool

Thank you! I’m trying to make science more accessible, not just *more viral*, and I appreciate you noticing :)
Keep making content on RUclips. I don't have a TikTok and you're great.

@@AstridLundberg You would rock a bow tie, btw.

Oh god, yes, please do longer form content!
I thought it was reasonably well established that pterosaurs probably derived from Lagerpetids?
jingia was preoccupied by an insect..... many such cases
Who sing in the end?
Me! I realised I didn’t have any good audio to stick under the credits, so I just sat down and recorded it right before uploading this 😅
@AstridLundberg what a beautiful voice😍🎵🦖
Well explained and engaging
Just one question though. Who's Young Sheldon??
And was there an old Sheldon??
Now to the next month!
BONES!
Just found this channel.
I want a dinosaur with a short skirt and a looooooong neck.
I’m no longer on TikTok so I’ll comment all you want to keep seeing your stuff here.
Pterosaurs have a hard time explaining the gap in their resume, the evidence isn't very robust.
@1:35 - And judging by your eyes you found Dune spice at Mammoth cave. Cool!
Please make longer videos, young sheldon.

LIked for Afrexit
Thanks, was hoping someone would catch that :)
Yay astrid dino video!
