@@goldeneagle99 yes the dryer came with the condenser that I ordered Part number 12805059 I got it from FCP euro It’s currently one third of what it was when I ordered it

My AC doesn't hold a charge for long and I took it in to a place and they said it was the evaporator. I want to be sure it's not the condenser. I assume if I did the dye coolant it would show it leaking from the condenser if so?
@@trencher7 yep that’s how you would do it. When mine stopped working I threw in a can of the refrigerant with dye and it lasted about 2 days. Couldn’t see any of the condenser or other mechanical joints leaking so eventually I took off the front end and found the gaping hole in the condenser If it is the evaporator, I’ve heard the dye will show up in the condensate drain dripping below the car The evaporator is more of a pain to replace due to two hex drive/allen keys near the firewall and space restrictions. With no leaks at the visible mechanical joints and not suspecting there was a MASSIVE hole in the condenser, I had read that the evaporators can rust out and start leaking so I messed around on a junkyard car. got one of the Allen bolts but completely stripped the other so be careful. There’s a good video out there walking you through how to do it from a actual SAAB mechanic, not some random dude in his driveway haha
@@stpage123 Yep I just saw that video and ordered the parts for the evaporator. I am going to brave it. Biggest pain looks like taking out the fan and casing under the dash, but I was quoted $1500 for the shop to do it. Was only $120 total parts. Still trying to breathe life into my 2003 Vector.
Awesome! Did u replace the dryer?
Part number for the condensor?

Gonna be doing this over the weekend - Putting in a light bar and nicked the AC condensor
@@333cparker how did it go?

Having messed with the fans motor controller before, I can confirm it’s not a fun, ergonomic area to work
