I was in the audience on this day. It was my first big stadium concert, but not my last. Brian wasn't exactly on top form that day, but that's completely understandable, given the emotion of the day. The whole thing was an unforgettable experience.
awesome! I made it to Wembley the year before for GnR and met Brian May, Matt Sorum & Sebastian Bach. Great experience but that day in 92 would really been something special
Believe it or not, this was the first time Queen performed "I want it all" in concert... It was a hit that Queen recorded in 1989 and they couldn't perform it live because of Freddie Mercury's illness. Now, we have it live w/ 2 legends - Guitarist Tony Iommi of Black Sabbath and vocalist Roger Daltrey of The Who 🤘🤘🔥🔥
Must watch Queen & George Michael - Somebody To Love from the same tribute concert. No one will ever replace Freddie Mercury but George Michael comes pretty damn close!
@@Davidian1978This was the only time I saw George live but it was so jaw dropping it's easy to believe. The rehearsal video with Bowie etc watching is also incredible.
When Queen released the DVD of the tribute concert they only included the second half. The first half included the likes of Metallica, Def Leppard, Extreme, Spinal Tap & Guns N Roses doing mini sets. Videos exist on RUclips and they are worth checking out. I was in the crowd that day and really wasn't all that interested in GnR, but have to admit their set was very good (I think Axl was on his best behaviour as he was a big Queen fan). But when the second half started the atmosphere changed. The intro to Tie Your Mother Down kicked in and if felt as if the whole of Wembley Stadium bounced in time. Along with this track it was also the first time any of us heard Innuendo live. It was a real shame that Robert Plant's microphone didn't seem to work very well during that performance. Behind the scenes video includes interviews with some of the artists who commented on how well the remaining members of Queen coped because many of the artists performing needed to have the key changed down because they couldn't match Freddie's range. The only exception, I think, was George Michael. His rendition of Somebody to Love was magnificent.
4:20 - Brian was also considered one of Queen's vocalists, as is Roger Taylor. Obviously not the lead singer, as that was Freddie's role. But the two (Brian and Roger) have songs entirely sung by them, in addition to providing backing vocals on Queen's entire repertoire. Another interesting fact is that Brian and Tony Iommi are great friends for a long time (since the 70s).
Roger Daltrey is not an underrated vocalist. He has long been praised as one of the best rock & roll singers ever. His voice was second to none in power and passion.
This song is in my top 5 of my favorite Queen songs. Roger did a great performance in tribute of Freddie. If you want to hear Brian's vocals some more, he did a solo project and his song "Driven by You" is awesome. Great reaction Biss!! ❤🤘🔥
Nice for bringing some attention to Roger Daltrey. He is not underrated but somehow disappeared in forgetfulness. Now I’ll pick up my guitar and recall my favorite songs of him.
The reason Queen never played this song live with Freddy is because the last time Freddy went on stage for a live performance was in 1988. After that his health became very bad and he preferred to concentrate his efforts in the studio, to record as many songs as possible. In fact, the last time Freddy stepped on stage in 88 was something very emotional, it's worth researching it, as it would be a great reaction!
Roger Daltery is a legend and one of the best. He was a rock god many years before The Queen was even founded. This song was definitely meant as a stadium anthem and it is sad that Freddie never got the change to sing it live.
6:07 I have seen this video probably a thousand times at least. And that camera shot from behind the stage showing a sea of 72,000 fans all clapping in unison has yet to fail to give me goosebumps.
This was Freddie's anniversary tribute concert, commemorating his death. Amazing concert. Long live Freddie and all of the artists paying tribute. If you want to hear more of Brian May, I'd recommend his version of "Too Much Love Will Kill You" from this concert or his recording. Thanks, Bisscute. Very enjoyable reaction. 💚
"I want it all" was always one of my favorite Queen songs. If you wanna hear Brian May sing maybe you should check out some of his solo stuff like "Driven by you".
You absolutely should check out the rest of the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert. There are so many amazing performances from artists like Metallica, David Bowie, Elton John, Guns N Roses and Def Leppard!
The Tribute concert really was just a bunch of artists coming out to celebrate Freddy....there was donations raised but when you have that many performers the logistics and hotels etc. It was more just a good time to say good bye to a fellow performer.
That is awesome! Roger Daltry is, I have always, thought one of the great rock voices and its a shame he doesn't get as much recognition on that these days.
There were so many great guest appearances on this day! Seal - Who Wants to Live Forever, George Michael - Somebody to Love, James Hetfield - Stone Cold Crazy, But, my favourite is Elton John - The Show Must Go On!! Brain & Rodger did sing a few songs after Freddie died. Check out, Queen - No One But You
Brian sings that part on the studio album. He also sings lead on a few Queen songs on the albums too. This song is from The Miracle album from 89, and their last tour with Freddie was the Magic Tour in 86. They never toured again till Freddie died, so they never did this one live with him, saddly...
I was at this concert, and it was truly amazing. The music was epic, the production 1st class, and even God participated as it was the most amazing weather for London. I ended that day happy, even in my missing Freddy, for it was a proper tribute.
Thank you Biss, I was one of the 80,000 in the audience, loved every minute of it. Please react to George Michael & Queen - Somebody to love from this, the Freddie Mercury tribute concert.
Queen never performed this song live because they had retired from touring because of Freddie... he knew something was wrong with him and decided to call it a day in late 1986... by the time this album (The Miracle) was released in 1989... the disease had fully got him at this point so he really was struggling...
Brian has a couple of songs he sang lead in with Queen, for example 39. Brian also has solo albums where hes the lead singer. I especially love Brians album Back to the Light.
Roger Daltrey underated? I guess maybe now, but that's just because newer generations don't know The Who as well, but Roger was and is a Rock god! I think others have already answered this, but when Freddie was sick, there was a last minute push to create some more music before it was too late, and I think they just never got a chance to perform this song live before it was too late.
Queen was one of the first concerts I saw and LONG before you were probably born. I have seen every show they did until Freddie passed. One of the most amazing bands EVER! Freddie one of, if not the best male vocalist in history. It's too bad you couldn't see then in concert. It would have been life changing. I love the tribute shows etc but nothing compares to Queen with Freddie!
The guitar intro when Tony comes onstage is "Heaven and Hell" by Black Sabbath. Brian would play it live with Black Sabbath in 1990 as a special guest. He also appears on the song "When Death Calls", off Sabbath's "Headless Cross" album. Obviously, Roger walks out to "Pinball Wizard".
They did not sing it live with Freddie because he was already suffering from his illness and with respect to Brian May, in fact throughout Queen's discography there are many songs where Freddie does not sing or where he has a more secondary role. There are several songs where Brian sings alone or even Roger.
... Brian May did a lot of solo stuff, too. On his own albums, but also on Queen records ... PS: I rember this concert very well - even I am old! ^^+gg You can't forget this epic event! :)
So glad to see you react to this. I was laughing when you said "that poor mike". When I saw this live on TV, I thought he was going to knock someone out with that Mike lol
You really need to do Brian, Roger, and John's 1997 tribute to Freddie "No One But You (Only the Good Die Young)" the official video, with Brian and Roger on lead vocals.
I couldn't tell if you recognized Tony Iommi...he's the guitarist from Black Sabbath. The guitar riifs that he is playing with Brian May in the beginning are from the Black Sabbath song "Heaven and Hell." Similarly, the acoustic sounding guitar part the band played as Roger Daltrey was introduced was from the song "Pinball Wizard," which is a song from Roger's band the Who.
Love your reaction as usual Miss Bisscute❤❤❤. The first one of 2024 in RUclips please do More live performances are your Best reactions. You should try George Michael and Queen from de same concert. Please Bisscute react to INXS live from Wemblay songs: What you need and Suicide Blonde😊
Wow, what a way to start the year Bisscute, full steam ahead, as we say in Mexico, with all that energy that emanates from those voices, those strings, the drums, so much talent gathered in such a small space, and if that were not enough , all of this crowned with your reaction and the charisma that emanates from your person. I want to suggest if you can react to Alan Parsons with the song: Eye in the Sky. Greetings and a hug from Mexico City.
Hey Biss! Your subscribers always good info to share with the community. Here’s my 2 cents …both Paul Rodgers(Bad Company) and Adam Lambert(American Idol) have toured with the band. In the movie “Bohemian Rhapsody “ Adam asked to be casted as the trucker who lured Freddie (Remi Malik) into the restroom!
I’ve watched the Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert many times (RUclips, of course). May I recommend James Hetfield perform w/Queen, STONE COLD CRAZY (Metallica did the cover earning them a Grammy). Next .. Joe Elliott (Def Leppard) w/Queen TIE YOUR MOTHER DOWN. Next .. George Michael w/Queen SOMEBODY TO LOVE! Bangers ‼️
If you want to see Brian sing, check out 'Love of My Life' live from Nottingham, England in 2015. As a bonus, Freddie's Mum (who lived in Nottingham at the time) was special guest, and Brian dedicated the song to her...and yes, I was there
Hi! This version has vocal overdubs from the studio, later. Check out the posting from the channel NostalgicRock to see it without overdubs; it's still amazing!
Already 90's but the feeling was completely 80's. I was 16 in this year and the fear that AIDS caused were so real. Freddy wasn't just a vocalist hard to subtitute, he was a star... One can't substitute a star.
great reaction Biss. just fyi Brian may sang the lead vocals on the song titled '39. And Queens Drummer sang "I'm in love with my car" which would be my favorite queen song after Bohemian Rhapsody .
Brian wrote this song based on something his wife anita said. "being an ambitious girl i want it all and i want it now." also when the mic cable got caught in his guitar, it caused one of the strings to become loose so during hammer to fall, he goes out of tune snd has to get the spare guitar!

Bisscute! You have to listen to Pentatonix sing Bohemian Rhapsody. It's the best cover of it I've heard. You're not going to believe how they play the guitar solo without a guitar.
For more Daltrey and The Who watch the ultimate banger " Young Man Blues" live at the Isle of Wight - 1970. If this doesn't do it for you, you can hunt me down and spank me. Rock on

I thought 'Knockin on heavens door' was superb.
But 'Enter Sandman' was an incredible start to the show.
Wow wow wow you lucky guy, I only saw this concert in Laser Disc the good old day in 1992😊
I’m so jealous of you right now .. 😁
awesome! I made it to Wembley the year before for GnR and met Brian May, Matt Sorum & Sebastian Bach. Great experience but that day in 92 would really been something special

I'm about 5 rows from the stage. Was such an awesome day with the most amazing lineup.
amazing
Roger Daltrey is not an underrated vocalist. He has long been praised as one of the best rock & roll singers ever. His voice was second to none in power and passion.

This vid was recorded in the Freddie Mercury tribute concert in 1992. You may wanna see the performance of Queen x Slash x Elliot, it rocks!
Nah aint no way a scam bot just replied to me
Nice for bringing some attention to Roger Daltrey. He is not underrated but somehow disappeared in forgetfulness. Now I’ll pick up my guitar and recall my favorite songs of him.
Absolute Legends from three different legendary bands. Hard to beat this right here.

"Sail away sweet sister" is another example
What a gig! I didn't know Iommi was their, it sounds like a Sabbath riff going on in the chorus!
I believe Freddie was there, singing along with everyone. God rest him ❤
Roger Daltrey underated? I guess maybe now, but that's just because newer generations don't know The Who as well, but Roger was and is a Rock god! Beautiful song 😍
Talk about a super group.
3 legends 1 stage Black Sabbath,Queen & The Who.
That's good stuff right there.
I admire Daltrey attempting a Freddie perfomance. Same, and especially, with George Michael (RIP). But no one will be Freddie. He broke the mold.
Hi Bisscute
Wishing you successful 12 months, Joyful 52 weeks, lovely 365 days, memorable 8760 hours, blessings of 525600 minutes and happiest 31536000 seconds. Happy New Year!

James Hetfield (metallica) also contributed a song at this concert called 'stone cold crazy'

that whole show is worth watching, not just Queen but the whole day was a celebration of music & Freddie. Guns n' Roses were a highlight for me
You can watch and hear the song called "39" Brian lead vocal song. 🙏🏻🙌🏻
💖💖💖
great reaction Biss. just fyi Brian may sang the lead vocals on the song titled '39. And Queens Drummer sang "I'm in love with my car" which would be my favorite queen song after Bohemian Rhapsody .
Underrated by who.
Actually is heaven and hell / pinball wizard / i want it all
Just watch Queen feat George Michael "somebody to love" (from the same tribute concert in Wembley), it is absolutely fantastic !!!
Brian wrote this song based on something his wife anita said. "being an ambitious girl i want it all and i want it now." also when the mic cable got caught in his guitar, it caused one of the strings to become loose so during hammer to fall, he goes out of tune snd has to get the spare guitar!
Brian may do have songs where he is main vocal, i belive the song To much love will kill you, as i remember as a song recorded by Queen after Freddie died..
Would have loved to be there
Brian has Solo albums where he does the lead vocals. He's got a good voice

If you like Queen music, you should check out the film Highlander
Sure - fire away
🎄Happy New Year!
The duet of Diana Ankudinova and Yulia Parshuta on the song by Toni Braxton - Un-Break My Heart will bring you real pleasure this holiday days.
World-class vocalists in a cool show.
According to the conditions of the show "Duets", the participants of the duet do not know with whom they are singing in pairs, they are separated by a mirror partition, and the sound in the ear monitors is greatly distorted. The main essence of the show is the emotions of the artists, when near the end of the performance the partition is lowered and the artists see each other.
The best sound is the video from Diana's channel.

Happy New Year Bisscute
