As long as there is a balance between fostering self-reliance and collaboration with true mentoring I agree with the approach. People tend to learn things a little better when they have to struggle for the solution. If it comes to easy nothing is learned but if there is too much struggle the wrong things can be learned.

Peter sounds like a tough boss but a genius leader at the same time. Teaching through silence? That’s a power move 💼🔥

Some also use this technique to never take responsiblity for anything.

What an incredible leadership lesson. By pushing you to own your ideas and seek input from others, he cultivated both confidence and collaboration-two essential traits for leadership.

People from Galicia, Spain, are known for never answering questions, they just reply with more questions. So now I know why so many Spanish leaders were originally from there 😂

In some cultures that person is seen as incompetent. A good leader shows the way.

There's some bosses that literally don't know shit. That's why they ask you back

Some things work for some people, other things work for other people.
Peters Powerplay worked for Simon. Not everyone wants to be forced into fixing it him/herself or is capable of.
Being honest about your peoples capabilities and motivation is precondition to it.

As a conclusion from the video: Peter was a never a leader... Simon was. Was the perfect boss to him because from hia experience he just realised he didn't need a boss! Hahahhaha

Why is this good? Maybe cause he forced the others to find the answers?

Peter was a lazy boss who was scared to make a decision and you glorified his incompetence.

This is so confusing....in other videos you speak about support, trust, etc, and now you speak about not answering questions! In most places employees will be fired for making mistakes or taking wrong decisions!

compromising , knowing that at your level of boredom there is no bad commercial, mr sinek.
thinking how indicative the situations people derive pleasure from, are.
what amuses you, speak more than all the informations presented.
the level of your masohism speaks about the level of your sadism, mr sinek.
at least about how overfed your emotional and material bases was and is
that difficult for you to find a motivating challenge
the boasting about the hierarchical speak about what you were fed with and fed up to boredom with
all the while the peasants worked the earth to produce, took care of domestic animals,
some ´´nobles´´ need the challenge of hunting to make sense,
    cause otherwise are senseless.
    that bored they are
    s kill s
your statements of the boss who never ever..., speak about your immaturity boredom and egoism,
presenting as a law, what compliments yourself only,
not even considering that there are other people also, and for their sake, there could be a spectrum of ´´ideal´´ ´´bosses´´ also
maybe you are right, the needs and aspirations of many people does not matter
    maybe you are right
    right ?
    perhaps a konzlager ?

Peter never answered you and still you call him a good boss. That means other qualities of him must be commendable. Not answering questions cant be the only criteria to qualify soneone as a good boss!
