Recently spoke to the psychiatrist that I work with and asked how many of our patients are actually suffering from an underlying hormone imbalance and he responded “All of them!”

I recommend bio-identical hormones to most menopausal women.

@@drwestinchilds do you not have any concerns about women who are over 70 taking bio-identical hormones well past menopause.? Are you not concerned about possible heart problems are blood clots? Some doctors tell you that and that scares me from wanting to try to take bio-identical hormones. What should I watch out for if I decide to do it?
I have mitral valve regurgitation. But I also have emphysema fibromyalgia Ankylosing Spondylitis osteoporosis and arthritis. Prediabetes
Although lately my blood sugars been doing better taking less metformin and walking more. I'm also eating less.
What should I be aware of before I consider doing bioidentical hormones considering I have mitral valve regurgitation and I'm over 70

Hey Dr Childs, this is more of a diet related question. Can individuals with Hashimoto’s/hypothyroidism benefit from intermittent fasting for fat loss? Love your videos 😄always learn something new👍

What about when you are trying to build muscle mass, so you lift heavy challenging weights? Do you think I should still do it any time of my cycle,
or only in the follicular and ovulatory phase???

Dr. Childs how would I B safe taking bio-identical hormones when most doctors say they can cause blood clots & kill you.
    I take Wild Yam,DHEA & pregnenolone.
Does this make going to Bio-identical hormones easier & less dangerous?
Do U worry woman taking them can get blood clots etc??
Let me know since I can't find any doctors I see to let me try them.

I think it depends if thyroid or adrenals are involved. Listen to your body and maybe just increase around “expected” ovulation time, my adrenals & thyroid are low so that’s when I work out Ive tracked my cycle for 4 years and it’s always 29 days and energy levels still follow the same rhythm he’s describing. Basically up my production like clean house etc day 7-20 and barely anything if I can help it besides strenuous necessities like shovelling snow etc the rest of the time. I track LH levels too so if I don’t ovulate or get the LH spike one month I’m even more gentle on my body from then on till I do. It’s been working well. Also listen to your cravings (within reason) lol like protein etc

Does Hashimotos effect any part of COVID-19? Would you react worse, comparatively to someone without that autoimmune disease, if you contract COVID-19?

You are more susceptible to infection if you have Hashimoto's.

That's totally fine, not everyone will match up with this info. If that's the case then do high intensity workouts then.
