In one season, he proved to be one of the most fascinating comic book characters of all time! He isn't the Conqueror, he is the Conquered... by the love for his son. I can't wait to see more of the character's evolution a long side the rest of his people.

Those who’ve only seen the show have merely scratched the surface of Nolan’s character. As the story goes on he goes through some of the most incredible development. Hero and Villain are words too simple to describe Nolan. Homelander, Brightburn, The Plutonian, even Titan from MegaMind. The evil Superman trope is well known in all forms of media, but Omni-Man sticks out in a such a unique and thought provoking way. For all those who are just now hearing his story, I wish you all an emotional and soul searching journey.
He's a heroic man born into the most villainous of societies who got a second chance he never deserved that he wasted and he knows it. It's utterly compelling and beautiful.
the most complex people are hard to understand and cannot be just put in a case as "good" or "bad" like in a generic manichean disney movie for example. Even if you want to make good thing for you or the people that you love or for a greater purpose, sometimes the choices to make are hard and ask sacrifices and well after its only your judgment of things and how people judge you.
A character that decide that good and bad dont exist, but only his objective and his will to overcome and win then can do anything he wants and so he can be a rare and dangerous characterthat thinks diffrently but the weight of the burden can be hard to endure and he can also fall into madness or become wiser it becomes a "everything is possible" character and i think its good tos show this kind of character instead of the classic "good" and "bad"

@Joske Vermeulen The problem is everyone acts like it's all Goku. Vegeta angst after his defeat on earth about how Goku beat him. Not the team of all of them. Also didn't he heat Freiza on his own? I never watched all of Z growing up. Or I guess they wore him down before that.

“How can you say that and not feel the same way?” It is love and the internal struggle that doesn’t let Nolan feel the same way
Magnificent edit. This should literally be the "recap" offered up for anyone who starts watching in season 2.
Nolan is really intelligent and insidious because he doesn't just come to Earth and attack it, he infiltrates it and finds the most powerful fighters after years of spying and eradicates them in a sneak attack. He even gains the trust of the people first, that's a really high IQ strategy
I'm not sure if he truly wanted to kill them though. I feel like he only killed them because Mark got his powers and he couldn't pretend any longer
It's a risky tactic due to it conflicts with one's loyalty to his empire or his love to family and friends. Just like with Nolan, he could've killed everyone on Earth but took his time, had a wife and son, he was happy until Mark got his powers. That's when it bit him in the ass especially with Mark's last words to his father in this season, "You dad... I still have you". If he was truly smart he would have known that family is the most important thing life than loyalty to an Empire.

Yeah, Nolan has been doing this for a very very long time. Actually, this assignment is comparable to a vacation for Viltrumites and only given to top tier conquerors. It’s part of the lowering defenses (killing the Guardians) and 500 year recon strategy.

Dude the musical score is amazing. With the slow build up at 1:20 to an amazing climax at 1:50. Another slow pickup at 2:40, ending at 3:21 just as Mark crushes his father’s resolve, the music ends and picks up at the flashback!
0:43 Crazy thought, but here he said "Lesser" developed worlds, rather than "Less developed" worlds, could they have meant this to be foreshadowing how Omni-Man and the viltrumites really see these other worlds?
It was good writing on his character. He isn't evil, he is just a soldier, nothing else.

The series was better than 99.5% of all superhero live action movies.
This cast was really one of the few good voice actors that can compete with the emotion I feel when watching Japanese anime
I don't care what anyone else says, this show is perfection. If you feel otherwise, well, just know it's okay to be wrong.
Unlike Homelander, we can actually see the reason why Omni Man commits all those atrocities, at first his loyalty to Viltrum is stronger but by time his love for Mark changes him
I mean, we know the reason for homelander. He's childish. There are the reasons why he is childish, but that is the boiled down reason.
Knew this was coming, and also knew it would deliver an experience on par, if not surpassing the show!

Omni man is in conflict with the Ideals of viltrum and the love of his family especially his son.
If only his son didn't get powers. Everything would've been perfect for him. Just live a life of love and once they're gone. Go back to business.

People can change whether you like it or not, even if the past never forgets, even if the sins never leave, sometimes the best thing you can do is just to accept it, Nolan's loyalty is stronger than his love at first, but the fact that he ran away means that he has truly change, he has become more like a human than a viltrumite
