    Great video! We just upgraded to Haven for our next cruise. NCL Getaway, next November. We are in the suite next door to this one. It was nice to hear about all the amenities. I'm looking forward to the peace and quiet.

    We sailed on this ship last Aug., staying in the spa suit. It was a most rewarding experience . The Haven provided us a relaxing, luxurious experience . We loved the shows & specialty restaurants & it was always nice to go back to our spa room or have a lunch outside, by the Haven’s pool , meeting our fellow Haven travelers. The warm spa pools& Jacuzzi were totally addictive! The stuff was polite, helpful, solicitous & professional. The only thing I am wondering about is if for the same money I could have gone on a luxury cruise line.🤔

    That spa suite looks magnificent!! Even as a solo cruiser - I would love that whirlpool tub & I always get the spa pass when I cruise with Princess because I love the thermal suite & the therapy pool & the special showers (aromatherapy, light therapy) & on Princess, in addition to the hot stone loungers (which I don’t like) they have 2 oval water/gel beds right next to the pool!!
    The spa suite looks incredible!!

    Thanks for making this video! I wasn’t sure which room to get and wanted to try the Haven for the first time. We went on the Breakaway last month and I know the Getaway is a sister ship. Based on your video, I booked this exact room! Appreciate the clarity of your information and the dry wit. Can’t wait to experience this for real.

    Hi Jim! Another great video! I was wondering how far in advance do you book your cruise is for suites? And what is the most luxurious Cruise you have been on and recommend? Merry Christmas!

    • @JimZim
      @JimZim  5 лет назад +2

      It's not unusual for me to book a year in advance. For top suites that are in very high demand, such as the deluxe owners suite on Norwegian, or the Havana Suite on Carnival, you may need to book even further in advance than that.
      Here's a video all about the best suite we ever stayed in:

    Great Video Jim, thank you. Curious - you cruise a ton, but still prefer to book through your agent, vs direct. What do you feel is the main advantage using an agent, as by now you must be swimming in loyalty points? Thanks again. :)

      The things I like most about using my travel agent instead of booking directly:
      She's the one stuck on hold with the cruise line when something requires contacting the cruise line.
      She speaks perfect English with no accent, and she's the ONLY person I ever have to deal with regarding my cruises.
      She's got all my information and therefore no matter what cruise line I cruise with, I never have to spend time filling out the basic information that is required to complete a reservation. She's got all that stuff already.
      If I have ANY question, I just send her an email and pretty soon we are talking on the phone about whatever I needed to know.

    Thanks for the tour. Have you ever stayed in one of the spa suites under the fitness center? Did you notice or do you think that the noise would be audible inside the cabin below?

    • @JimZim
      @JimZim  2 года назад +1

      It certainly wouldn't be a problem if you stay in a spa suite on the port side of deck 14, because you wouldn't be directly under the fitness center. You'd be underneath other cabins.

    I so very much enjoy watching your videos. I was just wondering what year was this ship built and what year did the ship take its maiden voyage?

    • @JimZim
      @JimZim  5 лет назад +1

      Construction began in January of 2011 and the first cruise was in November of 2013. So, let's say she's five years old. It was right before NCL figured out that they should start putting electrical outlets by the bed and USB charging points at the desk. If you go on the newest generation of ships, you'll find those.

      I was going to suggest that you do the five hour drive over to Charleston, South Carolina, and cruise with Carnival... but I see that both of their ships are completely sold out already for the Memorial Day weekend. If you could cruise at some other date during the summer, rather than Memorial Day, you could cruise out of Charleston and that way you would not have to pay for an airplane flight. The Carnival Sunshine is the better of the two ships that cruise out of Charleston... so that would be the one I'd recommend if you can go some other date than the Memorial Day weekend.
      So, if it has to be over Memorial Day, you'll either have to do a much longer drive down to Florida, or fly there. There are still cabins available on the Carnival Ecstasy out of Jacksonville, Florida, for the Memorial Day weekend. That's a longer drive, but do-able, I guess. It's a five day cruise beginning May 25th and ending May 30th.
      Or if you could afford to fly down to Ft Lauderdale or Miami or Tampa, that would open up even more possibilities.
