Salamun alaikum brother Al Moses. Thank you very much indeed for this great work. May God (Allah) bless you and your good intention in helping us understand our only source of divinely evidence-based knowledge, the Quran.
The best thing about your lecture is that you highlight important points which really helpful for those who want to do research on the particular topic of QURAN. Thanks 🙏 😊 .
A good way to understand what is going on with the Story of Lut is just look at Russia and Ukraine conflict. When you understand the parallels between these 2 things then everything starts to make sense and definitions of words start to unravel themselves. Furthermore you start to understand who Ibrahim really was and how he fits into History. What is the significance of the era of Ibrahim and its connection to Musa & Eisa, etc Im glad you are opening up to the significance of the Chronology of Revelation over Cannonical arrangement of the Mushaf. There is an order that the Quran is meant to be read in, the distorted arrangement is what creates all the confusion.
Chronology of events as they exist in Quran for specific events, brother. Not the alleged revelation order of the Quran. They are two different things:)
@@AlMosesPhD You've taken the first step towards a greater destination that you may not have set out to embark on. Assalam u Alaikum, I would like to ask about the rule set by Allah swt himself in Quran As you mentioned about any specific terms used in Quran should be taken according to the context going on like you said for قوم here. I am Confused. Please respond.
1) Words selaamEN سَلَامًا and selaamUN سَلَامٌ in 51:25 are full sentences. We should ask: what kind of sentences, and is there any subject? Word selaam cannot be a greeting, cause of 25:75. 2) I couldn't find 'awaalim in the Qur'an, but on the same weight we have fewaakih, which is a plural of faakihet. So, 'awaalim should be a plural of 'aalimet (feminine active participle, also not used in the Qur'an) rather then of 'aalem.
The traditional understanding is that Salaman has a hidden verb, like nusalli salaman. But yes, you've hit on a point that does need more consideration
@@AlMosesPhD I think, and I'm quite sure, that selaamEN is a question and selaamUN its answer. I also think that this word expresses freedom given by "the other side", in a sense that their is no objection, hostility or anything that could prevent somebody to do something. So, this would be "Free? Free.", as a question are those guests free to enter with a positive answer. I was speaking with some elders in my people and heard that "selaam" was never used before on the street as a greeting, but "merhaba", and selaam people used when entering somebody's house or other objects. And, for 'aalemoon, I see that its meaning is "students" in a sense that they're people who're studying something in different ways, for example empirical and rational, in real life, dream, pondering, waHy, etc., and they're studying many or all life topics. On the other hand, one of the meaning of Rabb can be Teacher, which is a common meaning of Hebrew "ravi". So, Rabb-ul-'aalemeen could be The Teacher of the students.

Assalamu alaikum! In Surah Al-An'am 6:83-90, where 18 prophets are mentioned by their names, and Lut (AS) is also mentioned by name. So, what would you say?
SA, To me, the 'those are those given nubuwa' seems to refer to the generic target in the ayah before, and not the whole group that came before. There is a pattern in the earlier ayat where people are named and then summarized as the primary group they belong to, and then the listing process continues with more people and their grouping. As in Zakaria, Ilyas. Yahya, Isa are from saliheen. Then a new group and so forth But, I will downgrade the strength of my proposition in the next update, and continue to look at that section in detail.
Salamu Alaykum Of the 18 named, how many were given scriptures? The only ones given scriptures were Moses and Jesus. Jonah wasn't given Scripture, and neither was Elisha or Yahya. Why do you think they all were given prophethood? It doesn't say they all were given prophethood. It says they were given "Scripture, wisdom and prophethood", it doesn't say which were given what. [6:89] Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood. Even if these people now disbelieve in them, We have entrusted them to others who do not disbelieve. Salam
some questions while i listen: is there an ahl muhammad mentioned in the reading? i remember the verse "my lord, my people took this quran as a thing abandoned". is the verse suggesting muhammad was completely rejected by his community, a rejection worse than lut? and was muhammad's community completely annihilated? right now my country is going through the presidential elections and i like to share my thoughts. can ahl be seen as those followers who're basically from the lower classes, who go about putting up the party flags, banners and posters. people who perform simple yet necessary tasks. and ahl, they hold higher positions of the parties. people who're skilled with oratory, well versed in governing and law and people from societies aristocracy?

Salamun Alaikum wa Rahmatullah. A few initial thoughts having watched the whole way through. Truly grateful for this presentation and the efforts you have gone to, to keep it clear and to the point. It was easy to follow along and even on a mobile it was easy to zoom on the screen ( your zooming helped as well, thank you!) The methodology and charts are amazing, including how you went through the ayaat and marked the (many!) questions, and it shows the diligence you have maintained and the reverence for Kitaab Allah. Mashallah walhumdulillah. Keen to learn more about the way you came to conclusions about the order of the story. Well worth the time following along for anyone with an open mind. Will definitely need to watch again a few times I think inshallah with the Qur'an open to go back and forth between the surahs to get a more solid understanding of the order of events, the terminology, your shared insights, and the questions raised and more. From a lay perspective, genuinely surprised this level of analysis is not the norm, inshallah this and MQ approach is changing this for the better for this generation. Question: the way you have presented the ayaat in order of events; am I right in understanding this is what you consider to be adhering to "wa rattililQuraana tarteela"? Finally, I'm reminded of Ibrahim (as) dua: Rabbana wab'ath feehim, rasoolan minhum, yatloo alayhim ayaatika, wa yuallimuhu al Kitaaba walHikmata, wa yuzakkeehim, innaka anta alAzeez alHakeem. Can you make a video drawing out just your conclusions? I'd prefer to watch that first and then watch this technical explanation. It is often easier to start out with your conclusion like with scientific articles, so that the viewer can have an idea of where the technical explanation is going which would actually assist with understanding.

@@AlMosesPhD i could not name who because i could not reconcile why lut is contemporary of ibrahim. But there sre prevalent themes in the quran, such as mindun nillah = no intermediary. Such as the quran from Allah hence its interpretation MUST use Allah vocabulary. I opine homosexuality might refer to Allah choices of using gender of words at his own fancy = not as per arabic grammar. Another prevalent theme is its uses descriptor to protect sanctity of instruction relays to the nabi/rasul. Lut was listed with ismail, ilyasa and yunus. By accident?? Nope!! Allah lines them up with intention. Then there are 4 salamuns to 4 nabi/ rasul. Nuuhin fil aalamin ibrahim, musa & harun and ilyaasin. ilyaasin?? Look like a descriptor, right?? This is my understanding. Sukran.

salaams. In sura 6 verses 83 to 89, the quran lists the prophets which include Lut. In verse 89 it says referring to all the prophets mentioned before as those to whom was given nubuwat which includes Lut
Very good point. I'll think it over. To me, it seems to refer to the ayah before, echoing the pattern in the earlier ayat where people are named and then summarized as the group they belong to before the list continues. As in Zakaria, Ilyas. Yahya, Isa are from saliheen. Then a new group and so forth 89 then refers to whoever is explicitly selected in ayah 88
Salaams. With due respect, we see that the Qur'an discussion is continuous from verses 83 to 91. Those prophets mentioned before are said to have received the kitaab, hikmah and nubuwat and must refer to all those mentioned. Th ere is no rationale to limit this description just to one verse . The discussion of all the prophets mentioned is concluded in verse 90.

Salaamun Alaykum I suspect that you may delete this comment, but don’t worry: I have made a copy of the screenshot and there are many witnesses who would speak out against you. As a self-proclaimed academic, I expect you to know what “plagiarism” means. It means that you use someone else’s work, proclaiming that work to be yours, without giving them credit. Anyone who watches the Marvelous Quran channel would easily know that 80% of your terms and definitions are plagiarized from the Marvelous Quran channel and website. But it was disappointing to hear you say, repeatedly, that you have not heard anyone do the same research you do! You know that is not true, because I have it in an email from you, personally, that you watch every single Marvelous Quran video segment. Now, about the methodology you claim to follow: You make it appear as if you follow a robust, disciplined methodology (something that we taught again and again on the Marvelous Quran RUclips channel and on our website). But in truth, your work is shoddy and negligent at best. Here are some examples: 1. You claimed that “ذُكران” (Zukraan) means those who give advice. And yet you never provided any evidence to your claim. 2. You claimed that the Quran does not talk about homosexuality. You should have said: “In the story of Lot, the Quran is not talking about homosexuality”. The truth is: The Quran talks about homosexuality but in other places. 3. You claimed that the root for “الغابرين” (Ghaabireen) is only used for Lot’s ‘woman’. That is not true! A simple root search would have saved you that embarrassment. There are many other examples I can provide… But this is not a full critique In your rush to put out RUclips videos, you are abusing the methodology and you are misleading your audience. Your conclusions about the story of Lot are provably wrong! We will provide the Quranic story of Lot in a future series after we have had a chance to build the necessary knowledge to understand it. The truth is: You made some really bad assumptions, and overlooked some key questions, such as: Why is Lot referred to sometimes as “Lootan”, sometimes as “Lootin”, and others as “Loota”? Why did you assume that there was only one “Loot”? Had you been as studious as you claim to be, you should have known that “ādam”, for example, is used in the Quran to refer to different people in different places! You did not consider that possibility, did you? You also claimed (without evidence) that Lot did not know about his wife’s “violations of trust”. That again is not true. There is clear evidence against what you said. We will show that when the time comes on the Marvelous Quran channel Insha Allahh. Perhaps, if you stop trying so hard to acquire followers for your RUclips channel, you would take more time to do better research, AND TO VALIDATE YOUR ASSUMPTIONS AND PRESUPPOSITIONS. I know very well, FROM TALKING AND COMMUNICATING WITH YOU SEVERAL TIMES, that you are capable of doing better than what I have seen on your channel so far. How do I know that your desperation for gaining RUclips followers (and that this is your real goal)? Anyone can easily see that, in the description box below every one of your videos, you stuff dozens and dozens of unrelated keywords and hashtags, hoping to trick the RUclips algorithm into showing your videos on people’s RUclips feed. The description box for your videos do not include a single word about the video itself!!! Please note that this practice is frowned upon by RUclips (refer to the community guidelines), and is considered a form of cheating! I suspect you know that! I also suspect that RUclips will be admonishing you or may even block your videos soon, unless you stop this type of underhanded practice. There is a lot more I can say, but I want to leave you with one sincere advice, which I give to the Marvelous Quran audience all the time: Don’t be in a hurry to be a teacher, at the risk of misguiding people, for, if you are messing up the interpretation of the words of Allahh, you would be among “المجرمون” (Al-Mujrimoon), whose eventual conclusion is “الجحيم” (Al-Jaheem). If your true intention is to please Allahh, you would consider this comment a friendly reminder, and you would amend your ways and strategy!
SA dear brother Hany , i dont know why you are hostile against brother Musa: As you said, knowledge comes from Allah and His Guidance, so it's not "your" work or his; if you understand what I mean. Additionally, Brother Musa doesn't ask for money or anything from his works. In fact, there are no ads in his videos. Perhaps he wants to reach a much larger audience to awaken them and bring the light of Allah into these dark days. Like you, Brother Musa doesn't seek blind followers. He presents his works and findings for all of us to check, recheck, and investigate for honesty. If you find any errors or flaws, why not share your understanding, so that the listeners and watchers of this channel can see it too , after all we are all humans, and thus not flawless (controlling the whispers of evil, as you know, is not an easy task). Honestly, I am glad that this channel exists. I am also grateful for the existence of your channel (Marvelous Quran). We need more eye-opening information like this. For 1400 years, we have been kept in the dark. Let phase 3 shine! If you have crookedness in your heart, you will not receive the message. However, if you are genuine in your quest, Allah will grant you the truth, regardless of the source it comes from. Salaamun Alaykum
Salamun Alaikum: I really appreciate Dr. Hany's work and commitment however Dr. Hany needs some serious reflection and self-correction. We are all human beings and bound to make mistakes. Most of the accusations done by Dr. Hany here look like projections, he has been guilty of these himself in many ways. Why is Dr. Hany so focused on "MY" work, "MY" disclosures, "MY" copyrights, "MY" credit and "MY" followers. He deletes comments and posts that are critical of his behavior (which is going downhill), his work or even simply pointing out a possible mistake. He has made 2 negative and inappropriate posts about Al Moses on his own forum without directly naming him, because he doesn't want all of "his" followers to know about Al Moses. He dishes out judgement and labels on anyone who tries to think for themselves or asks sincere questions - he labels Al Moses as "bani israel" and "devious umayyad" on his forum and raises serious warnings because Al-Moses doesn't show his name/face. Dr. Hany should understand that having copyrights/credit/recognition in this world is not important to some people. He "punished" me because I shared a Quran Study tool/website - QuranMorphology - on his forum. He knows the significance of the tool and has praised it on a private zoom call especially the "repeated phrases" feature across Quran; he offered me to become his one-on-one student with the condition that I shut down open/free access to the website and not tell anyone about it because it could be "dangerous". I wanted Dr. Hany as a mentor but that condition along with his recent behavior wasn't right so I did not comply and we did not enter into an agreement and mentorship. I also posted a few questions and some apparent gaps in his teachings which didn't go well with his blind-followers (and probably him). A month later, when I shared the markings/repeated phrases from the tool on the forum (responding to a question), he deleted the posts, blocked me and sent me an email with inappropriate labels - those labels also seem like projections. Of course - I have also been labeled as a "devious umayyad" on his forum, all because Dr. Hany doesn't think "others" should have "free and open access" to tools that can help and expedite Quran study. We appreciate Dr. Hany, Al-Moses and others (named or anonymous) who are striving and trying to help based on their understanding BUT we are grateful to Allah alone. We cannot be a cult, and we cannot think that these individuals are "perfect" or "without the pitfalls of ego". May Allah cleanse us all of our egos and weaknesses, and may we realize that we are all Abd of Allah and striving towards Him.
@@qurandev I understand your critques and appreciate it, but you have to ask what is the best way to drive this 3ilm forward. And to be honest Dr. Hany's disciplined approach to providing the most verified evidence based arguments for his interpretations is the best. This approach requires patience and also telling others not to abuse it. Dr. Hany took the time to write his comment and he dropped some MAJOR hints as to the interpretation of the story of Lut, however, the people replying to his comment are completely ignoring it and maintain that Al-Moses has given us a great interpretation. No, it appears to be a rushed interpretation that does not give the whole story. Why post a RUclips video about the story of Lut as if this interpreation is a conclusion, should have gotten it peer-reviewed first and also verified the work more diligently. It is safer that way. P.S. I also want to say that I use Quran Morpology and appreciate it that it is free. I also want to say that these sort of discussions should always be focused on the toiling done never on the person/personialities involved. This 3ilm is verifiefable and falsifiable therefore we can maintain obejctive gaze. True, this path is a slow one requiring diligence but it is worth it because the truth awaits the patient ones.
@@gulfamdhillon1513 The methodology is not the issue, however it may naturally need tweaks. The issue is human weakness (ego), mistakes in applying the methodology (sometimes the teacher can make mistakes too) and blind cheerleader behavior that Dr. Hany is cultivating around himself. It has been painful for me to watch this unfold because undoubtedly Dr. Hany has put his heart and soul into the mission. My critique is not geared towards the story of Lut at all, Al-Moses may have made mistakes and that's fine as long as he is open to guidance from Allah and peers. How can one focus on the actual content/correction when Dr. Hany's comment starts with and is full of pettiness and insults and that is a sad state of affairs. He is becoming a threat to his own mission. Who would one go to for peer review, when apparently the teacher's ego and jealousy is coming in the way. I have no idea about, and Al-Moses has not said a word about what has happened between him and Dr Hany, but we know Dr. Hany's inappropriate labeling under the fear-mongering umbrella on his forum - and I know first hand, how Dr. Hany treated me because of his insecurities. I have always politely emailed him any questions and issues/aajila I saw in his work - which dint go well. I would have had no issues even releasing QuranMorphology under MQ umbrella because I dint put my name/face on it to begin with but Dr. Hany mistakenly thinks that MQ is HIM and only he should bring things forward and no one else should have access to tools. His followers are doing a disservice to MQ and him, to let this behavior fester. QuranMorphology will stay open and free InshAllah, it is not "my" website and I claim no credit, it is built with the skills, time and inspiration Allah has provided. It doesn't offer any interpretation, that's between the students and Allah. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or feature requests!

I am Confused. Please respond.
SA, sorry, what's the question?

Traditional understanding put the word سَلَماً in QS 39:29 as an adjective carrying the meaning solely/uniquely

1. highly appreciate ur PhD humbleness in front of the quran towards the end of the vdo. its the key. please try to never lose sight of this. allah has chosen u for a massive task. agreed. just always keep the focus away from the words 'chosen' and 'you'... and keep the entire focus on the key phrase ' allah has'... and inshallah u will keep churning out intellectual gems and 'brain grenades' like this and most of ur quran work, to keep exploding in our heads for a long time to come. and repeatedly keep bringing us to our knees in front of the quran.

Assalamu alaikum! In Surah Al-An'am 6:83-90, where 18 prophets are mentioned by their names, and Lut (AS) is also mentioned by name. So, what would you say?
SA,
To me, the 'those are those given nubuwa' seems to refer to the generic target in the ayah before, and not the whole group that came before. There is a pattern in the earlier ayat where people are named and then summarized as the primary group they belong to, and then the listing process continues with more people and their grouping.
As in Zakaria, Ilyas. Yahya, Isa are from saliheen. Then a new group and so forth
But, I will downgrade the strength of my proposition in the next update, and continue to look at that section in detail.
Salamu Alaykum
Of the 18 named, how many were given scriptures? The only ones given scriptures were Moses and Jesus. Jonah wasn't given Scripture, and neither was Elisha or Yahya. Why do you think they all were given prophethood? It doesn't say they all were given prophethood. It says they were given "Scripture, wisdom and prophethood", it doesn't say which were given what.
[6:89] Those are the ones to whom We gave the Scripture, wisdom, and prophethood. Even if these people now disbelieve in them, We have entrusted them to others who do not disbelieve.

some questions while i listen: is there an ahl muhammad mentioned in the reading? i remember the verse "my lord, my people took this quran as a thing abandoned". is the verse suggesting muhammad was completely rejected by his community, a rejection worse than lut? and was muhammad's community completely annihilated?
right now my country is going through the presidential elections and i like to share my thoughts. can ahl be seen as those followers who're basically from the lower classes, who go about putting up the party flags, banners and posters. people who perform simple yet necessary tasks. and ahl, they hold higher positions of the parties. people who're skilled with oratory, well versed in governing and law and people from societies aristocracy?

Salamun Alaikum wa Rahmatullah. A few initial thoughts having watched the whole way through.
Truly grateful for this presentation and the efforts you have gone to, to keep it clear and to the point. It was easy to follow along and even on a mobile it was easy to zoom on the screen ( your zooming helped as well, thank you!)
The methodology and charts are amazing, including how you went through the ayaat and marked the (many!) questions, and it shows the diligence you have maintained and the reverence for Kitaab Allah.

I am inclined to say that lut is a descriptor for another rasul.

Nope!! Allah lines them up with intention.

Then a new group and so forth
89 then refers to whoever is explicitly selected in ayah 88

I suspect that you may delete this comment, but don’t worry: I have made a copy of the screenshot and there are many witnesses who would speak out against you.
Here are some examples:
There are many other examples I can provide… But this is not a full critique
In your rush to put out RUclips videos, you are abusing the methodology and you are misleading your audience.
SA dear brother Hany , i dont know why you are hostile against brother Musa:
As you said, knowledge comes from Allah and His Guidance, so it's not "your" work or his; if you understand what I mean.
