C'mon girl, support one of the local independents for your coffee rather than a chain! 🙂 The village is full of good alternatives! Coffee is one thing where there is absolutely no reason why a global chain should be competitive (apart, perhaps from access to capital). It pains me to see the creep of Starbucks and Costa drive-thru's across the Highlands, surely we can do better! I'm just back from a weekend down in Dunbar, where (apart from a small Co-op and a small Morrisons) the High Street is all independent shops - no chains. It was an eye-opener just how vibrant a retail community they have there, resulting in a vibrant and busy High Street.

I was looking for month for another Klean Kanteen Thermos cup because mine is awesome and I wanted the same one again. I got lucky and found one in the locals adds. And since all parts are dish washer safe there is no hygiene problem either. Good luck finding your new favorite cup! It will safe so much single-use-trash!!
Look at Miio for small reusable coffee mugs. They’re like a hydro flask but support different global projects. We got ours from Artisan Roasters in Edinburgh.
I switched to Wild inspired by you. They really are good, I would say some of the perfumes work better than others, which may depend on one's individual body chemistry (and I think maybe it takes a bit of time to adjust to them after more traditional chemical deodorants). The Cotton and Sea Salt one is really good and probably a good match for most people, it's a safe, clean kind of scent that would probably be acceptable to men or women. I didn't get on with the one with patchouli in it, it didn't last effectively and left a slightly unpleasant residual smell. So maybe a good idea to sample different ones and see what suits you, they offer packs of three to start and options to save money by reordering. Lovely video as always, thanks Molly!

I really loved All the Light We Cannot See aswell. I found it really moving and couldn't stop thinking about it afterwards. It made me think a lot about my grandmother who was a teenager in Germany during the war.
@allyw6604 It is an incredibly moving story indeed, even more so if you can relate to it on a personal level. I now read it with my secondary school students and as well as it being a beautiful story, it brings up really interesting themes for discussion. So does In Memoriam (Alice Winn) by the way, different war but equally beautiful story.

I know you are concerned about waste etc and I was wondering if you have tried to make your own oat/almond etc milks? Much better for you/cost less and obviously the benefit of not having the tetrapak to then throw away. It took me a bit to get the hang of making my own milks, but it's very simple once you get going with it. ALSO, sprouts are great shredded up in a creamy cashew and mushroom pasta or shredded and pickled in some vinegar and spices, sort of a kraut type thing.
Hope you enjoy Starling House, I just finished it two days ago and had a good time with it. Gothic mystery is the perfect description of it so you'll be fine. 🥰😻😻☕📚

Absolutely no one talks about my very favorite book, (I am also an avid reader) and I cannot, for the life of me, understand why no one is. Admittedly, what I see most of on YT are more YA reading, (that is why I enjoy your channel so much as well, because you read other things besides YA!!). I so enjoy your takes on books! I am currently on my 7TH read through on Audible of this book and I have read it in book form myself 3 times myself. To say I obsessed with it is an understatement. If you love history and vampire lore, it is called "The Historian" By Elizabeth Kostova. I am STILL learning things from it this my 10th read. It is a bit longer, but it is the richest, most beautifully engaging book I have ever read. Please do give it a try if you love history.
I hope Skye isn’t frightened of the fireworks. My two labs are petrified and it’s just awful not being able to explain to them. They are so loud these days.
