Loved your book tour! We have a dog named Rosie, so of course we often call her “Rosie-Posie”😍😍
As a former bookseller I love bookshelf tours! 💗📚
Currently reading "The Salt Path". 🙂 👍🏼
They are the best! Ah, enjoy!
Nothing to do with books, but can I just say that your lip color is amazing! You look so great with that color, I love that natural shade for myself as well.
Thank you! Its my favourite from Merit - link in my description :)
I bought your Bookworm Planner this week and as someone who loves to be organised I know I am going to love it - and Notion. I love how you have space in the planner to record your thoughts on each book. Highly recommend it to others. x
Aw thank you so much for your support! I'm really glad you enjoy the planner :)
Really enjoyed your book tour, thank you :)
Thank you!
The Wild Silence is just as good as The Salt Path
Vinted is a great place to find books that are in good condition if not new ,and very reasonable. I tend to get a lot of mine from there.X
Oh I'd never thought of that! Thank you!
You will enjoy Mill on The Floss. I read it for ‘O’ Level English Literature in the 70s and loved it. Have read it a couple of times since and still enjoyed my re-reads.
Aw I look forward to reading it! :)
Very cosy, thanks for sharing :)
Loved your book tour and your happiness about books! One of my all-time favorite series from childhood is Little House on the Prairie. I still have the set I was given as a little girl, and I have re-read it multiple times.
How wonderful! I've heard great things about those books :)
Good bookshelf content review, and nice bookshelves. We immediately said “Molly doesn’t live in an earthquake zone”, as we did in California for 12 years. Our bookshelves emptied during the 1989 Loma Prieta quake. We have transitioned our reads to Kindle. We have some photography books, like by Ansel Adams, but our adult book count is down to maybe a dozen. The only full bookshelf we maintain is a children’s bookshelf for our grandkids. 😀
Ah no I don't think we are at risk from earthquakes here!
I’ve had sooo many compliments on your t shirt .. books and nature etc ❤️
Aw I'm so glad!
Thank you Molly, what a wonderful book collection, your collection has such memories for me. I love books and reading too. I love how they look at home on the shelf and how the pages smell when you open the pages. Hugs to Sky 🐾 wishing you a peaceful weekend 💓
Aw thank you! Nothing beats a book smell! :)
Great tour! I work at a library and do the book repairs. You can use book glue for broken bindings and then wrap a couple of rubber bands around the book and let it sit 24 hours. I can’t tell how much of the cover in the spine is missing but hopefully that helps.
Oh thank you so much for the advice!
I am speaking of reading of a different kind here (music), but wanted to share that I have some old music from the late 1800's and up through the 1940's that my friends grandmother gave to her. Because you mentioned that you saved your book dusts covers, I thought I'd share that I copied the old music, and then framed the cover sheets that were so beautifully vintage in an artsy way. A fun way to decorate and enjoy what I love.
Oh I love that, thank you for sharing!
Thank you for recommending Jenny Colgan. I work in a warehouse and listen to a lot of audiobooks. I am always on the look out for something new to listen to and am thoroughly enjoying her stories and writing style!
Aw I'm glad! She is a wonderful author :)
💗
Beautiful book collection, the copy of Anne of Green Gables is just beautiful 😍 Have you read The Wild Year by Jen Benson? I’ve just finished it and think you’d love it! Have a wonderful week
Absolutely love this. Thank you. I will check out your planner. Xx
Aw thank you!
As far as children’s classics from an American author is the Little House series (9 total) by Laura Ingalls Wilder. I have them in hardcover and will not part with them even though I have lived in a 360 sq ft cottage and now a small historic home.
Hi Molly the bookworm. Another fantastic video and enjoyed it. Great to find second hand books in thrift/second hand stores. Good book shelves. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞Molly.
Aw thank you!
I'm currently reading "The Wild Silence".
Aw I hope you are enjoying it!
This was a great video, really enjoyed seeing all your books. I've read The Salt Path and The Wild Silence and whilst I loved both, I liked the Salt Path best. Landlines is now awaiting my reading it, lol xx
Thank you! Yes, I agree that I preferred The Salt Path and have requested Landlines from the library so hopefully will get that soon! :)
Me too, absolutely loved The Salt Path. I hope the movie does the book justice.
I love keeping and the smell of musty old editions of books too, Molly.
I have trouble getting rid of books - I also stack them in the corners of rooms!
Thanks so much for highlighting and contributing to Andrew Painting's, Regeneration a really good state of the Scottish environment overview. The first such book I've read since a fascinating book on reclaiming deserts, back in the 1980's.
I Capture The Castle is one of my favourites, too.
I need to reread Brideshead Revisited.
I don't like scary books/TV either - Robin Cook's, Coma was my limit - but I'm drawn back to it as it was a captivating story
I have silly names for dogs too! Currently looking after a Topsy ...so Toppy
That was a lovely vlog, Molly 😊
Haha I love Toppy! I'm so glad you enjoyed Regeneration :)
I loved this!! I picked up Once Upon a Time We Ate Animals when it first came out & forgot to read it, thanks for inspiring me to pick it back up!
Hi Molly! If you haven't read it already, I think you might enjoy 'Thornfield Hall' by Jane Stubbs. It's told through the eyes of Mrs. Fairfax and I loved it! Have a great week and strokes for Skye. 🐶❤️
Added to my list thank you!
❤❤❤❤Thank you so much you have a very nice collection of books
Thank you lovely :)
I love videos where people discuss their reading habits and love of books in general and also favourites. I am glad to see that you re-read your favourites. Some people never do but the best books always give up something new on rereading. To me, not rereading is like only listening to a piece of music once, I don't get it. Enjoying your channel and I have subscribed.
In the same collection of your children’s books are all of Jane Austen’s main books which I think you may like if you like those. I’m currently reading Anne of Green gables in that same collection and after my new Jane Austen quote embroidery, I plan on doing an anne of green gables quote the one on the back of the copy you have. Xx
Oh thank you for the tip!
Check out Pitlochry Amphitheatre next summer - The Secret Garden.
Oh I will thank you!
Aw, I also love The Tenant of Wildfell Hall and have it on my shelf! :) Yes, it is underrated. I love how you've dedicated a full episode to books. I don't remember whether I liked the Woman in White, but I loved The Picture of Dorian Gray. I remember reading it while sitting on a park bench in Leicester Square in London, and so many of the streets he wrote about surrounded me.
To the Lighthouse was one of my favorite novels ever. Enjoy! :)
I'm glad you enjoyed! Sounds like the perfect readying experience for Oscar Wilde :)
Love this.! I've switched over to kindle as it's so much easier to read in bed 🙂 And to save space have just kept some of my favourite old books on the shelf. Wuthering Heights is also my all time favourite. I like the sound of "we used to east animals" but wonder whether it might be too upsetting if it talks about how things are now (I'm also vegan.) Will wait for your review.. Thanks Molly 💞
Ps when my friends daughter Emily was two she used to call our kings Charles spaniel
(Freddie ) Noo Noo after the vacuum cleaner in teletubbies. Every time she dropped food on the floor she called for Noo Noo x she’s now in her 20’s! Sadly Freddie died in 2008 x
Aw that is a sweet story :)
How many useful indications and suggestions! I think I'm covered for both autumn and winter, the more indoor seasons, although I'm not so much an indoorsy kind and love to be outside in the colder months as well, whenever possible. I'll take some of the books you suggested outside with me to be read outdoor, if the weather allows. They'll make my nice companions for the harsher months 😃 thank you so much 💓
I love reading outdoors as well! :)
So interesting to see, Molly. You have inspired me to start reading seasonally as well as nature books this past year. This summer I read I belong here by Anita Sethi, which is a great nature book that also deals with the topic of racism. Highly recommend!
Funny you should say that, I've just got myself a copy! Can't wait to delve into it :)
That was lovely, Molly. Very inspirational 📚 ❤
Thank you!
⛰️ Hi Molly! I’ve read both of Raynor Wynn’s memoirs a while ago. Two books I couldn’t part with and will have a permanent home on my bookshelf.
They are wonderful!
This was a really great video. Thank you for sharing!
Thank you!
Just finished Braiding Sweetgrass myself and have added it to my will Definitely Re-Read shelf. Also read Salt Path.
FYI- both have some very 'heavy' topics. I found both enlightening and ultimately hopeful but thought people might want to be aware.
Yes, agreed!
❤
Did a good job on your bookshelf
Thank you!
Your videos are inspirational and relaxing! Just throwing out there recommendations for A Sand County Almanac by Aldo Leopold and The Good Earth by Pearl S Buck.
Thank you for the recommendations!
I love bookshelf tours, I always get ideas about new books to read :) I absolutely love the Bronte sisters, my favourite is Jane Eyre. Have you seen the recent movie about Emily? I absolutely loved it. I see you have some Agatha Christies books, have you read her autobiography? She had a pretty amazing life :)
Yes, I watched it recently and it was amazing! Not read the autobiography but I will add it to my list :)
@@hippyhighlandliving Agatha Christie is one of my all time favourite authors and I have almost all of her books in paperback and reread them often. I've read her autobiography, which I enjoyed, but she also wrote another autobiography called "Come Tell Me How You Live" about the time she spent with her husband, who was an archaeologist, on his digs in the Middle East. It's about the trip there, the local people that she dealt with on a daily basis and how they lived there in general. Extremely interesting, highly amusing and really shows another side to her personality. Really worth the read :).
Love all your videos. Would love to know what you think of the Harry Potter Books. Did you read them? Did you like them? They did bring many kids back to read!
I loved them and read them loads when I was younger!
What a lovely home and books you have ❤❤ im reading The Tenant of Wildfell Hall right now and really enjoying it. ❤ what was the name of the YA series you mentioned? Went to quick there for me...
Thank you! It was the chronicles of ancient darkness series by Michelle Paver :)
@@hippyhighlandliving thank you! I found them both as e book and audio book with Ian MacKellen. They sound really interesting 🥰🥰
hello, i am new here. I am from Bangladesh 🇧🇩. I am watching your videos to learn English and trying to imitate your accent. So, it will be very helpful if you set subtitle to your videos. Thank you.
Lovely 🌻 thanks Molly,gorgeous tiny home 🏡
Thank you!
I think a book shelf would work over your sofa.. ...just saying..
Oh, it just might...
First!
don't waste your time on Gone with the Wind! I couldn't get past how racist it was
