Suit up for classic comedy! Peter Venkman (Bill Murray), Ray Stantz (Dan Aykroyd), Egon Spengler (Harold Ramis) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson) take a chance on going freelance, de-haunting houses in a new ghost removal service. As soon as they open their doors, their first order of business becomes saving beautiful cellist Dana Barrett (Sigourney Weaver) and nerdy Louis Tully (Rick Moranis), who’ve inadvertently opened the gates of hell… right in their own apartment building!

Ray was always my favorite. He acts exactly how I would act in his position, just constantly excited to be a part of it, geeking out over all of the weird stuff they encounter. His enthusiasm is contagious. Plus he has those really neat goggles, so that’s a plus.
Those really neat goggles are called Ecto Goggles! 👻 🥽
And an exceptional ability to hang a cigarette off his lip! 😂

"Hey, does this pole still work?" defiantly one of my favorite Ray Stantz moments along with telling Peter about the ghostly encounter at the library, the Mass Sponge migration line, the attempt to catch Slimer, the jail scene and the encounter with Gozer. Happy Birthday to Mr. Dan Aykroyd.
My second favorite Ghostbuster. I’m so happy all these memorable moments are being uploaded. “Go get her Ray!”
That scene just after Winston says about the dead rising from the grave... The Ecto 1 driving over the bridge in early morning... Showing that amazing vista of New York City.... From a young kid, (I remember seeing GB2 in cinema when I was 6)thst scene has always, always enamoured me with America(I'm irish)... I always get a really warm flood of nostalgia when I hear that music kick in and see the city like that...

Dan's best moments as Ray Stanz are 'Stay Puft Marshmellow Man' and the scene when he is giving the breakdown in prison about Dana's apartment building. But another one isn't in this video. It is when Peter gives Egon the candy bar at the beginning of the movie. Dan has this affectation like he is truly moved by the moment and that look gets me every time. He IS the true heart of the Ghostbusters.

this may be true , I know this sounds trippy but during the crossover event with halfbrick in the game monsterdash barry has to make a dash throught the Manhattan and new york enviroments and past various GB themed enemies one of them being a decomposed Zombie, so either the dead are ghosts or the dead actually have risen if we take back Winston's statement

Also fighting off Stay Puft from the ground level of Time Square in The Video Game was just as cool.
