Ray was always my favorite. He acts exactly how I would act in his position, just constantly excited to be a part of it, geeking out over all of the weird stuff they encounter. His enthusiasm is contagious. Plus he has those really neat goggles, so that’s a plus.
I’ve had the pleasure of meeting Dan twice. Absolutely great human being! Happy Birthday! Thanks for the best movies of my childhood! 😎 ...and always rocking sunglasses....
"Hey, does this pole still work?" defiantly one of my favorite Ray Stantz moments along with telling Peter about the ghostly encounter at the library, the Mass Sponge migration line, the attempt to catch Slimer, the jail scene and the encounter with Gozer. Happy Birthday to Mr. Dan Aykroyd.
That scene just after Winston says about the dead rising from the grave... The Ecto 1 driving over the bridge in early morning... Showing that amazing vista of New York City.... From a young kid, (I remember seeing GB2 in cinema when I was 6)thst scene has always, always enamoured me with America(I'm irish)... I always get a really warm flood of nostalgia when I hear that music kick in and see the city like that... Much love and high fives to all my American Ghostbusters fans! You guys are the best! 🇮🇪 ♥ 🇺🇸 ♥ 👻
As a kid reenacting the scene in which Ray first sees Slimer, I absolutely had to have a fake cigarette barely stuck to my lip as I whispered, "Venkman!... Venkman!".
"I supposed someone already asked you that question already but I'm asking anyway: How's Elvis? Have you seen him recently?" Ray startled face when he's asked that question always gets me lol
Dan's best moments as Ray Stanz are 'Stay Puft Marshmellow Man' and the scene when he is giving the breakdown in prison about Dana's apartment building. But another one isn't in this video. It is when Peter gives Egon the candy bar at the beginning of the movie. Dan has this affectation like he is truly moved by the moment and that look gets me every time. He IS the true heart of the Ghostbusters.
I like to think how the three of them met was Egon took Ray under his wing as kids and Peter hung out with them as an attempt to be popular and hang out with “the nerds” Basically the same dynamic as the kids from The Goonies if anyone is familiar with that
The seen with the ghost in the library is still one of my favorite ray stantz scenes with that great line get her. Great introduction to the Ghostbusters
i don ' t even have to press the time stamp and i already know what scene you ' re talking about . that scene became an inside joke between me and my friends
4:10 this may be true , I know this sounds trippy but during the crossover event with halfbrick in the game monsterdash barry has to make a dash throught the Manhattan and new york enviroments and past various GB themed enemies one of them being a decomposed Zombie, so either the dead are ghosts or the dead actually have risen if we take back Winston's statement
Ray fell off after his wet dream with the Dream Ghost. In my interpretation, I refer to her as the Undie Ghost as I thought she was getting his pants off because she wants to feel the pants free experience in his underwear. She is an underwear fan and if she talked she would say Undies Rule! 3:29

Those really neat goggles are called Ecto Goggles! 👻 🥽
And an exceptional ability to hang a cigarette off his lip! 😂
I appreciate the original movie as I get older.
Same
I can totally relste to either incarnation of Ray Stantz, the movie version and the one in The Real Ghostbusters/Extreme Ghostbusters.
I will ALWAYS be impressed by the hanging cigarette and how a moment with as much magic as that was by accident. God I I love Ghostbusters lol
Huh
I love Egon's "reassuring" smile when they tell the hotel owner to wait.
Yees!! ❤✨
@@LiliEnauak16 don't forget his tippy toes backwards in the library! I think someone took ballet as a kid!
@@lazchurchyard1229 Yea! I love that scene! I love how serious Egon is, but at the same time so cute

The heart….and the paperwork.
“What did you do Ray”
“Oh shit!”
“It’s the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man”
Ok, ray has gone bye-bye, what have you got left, Egon?

Him and Keanue Reeves are probably the chillest dudes in show biz
Left out 2 of my favorites: “Listen! Do you smell something?”
“Hey! Does this pole still work?!”
My most fav. character. I love Ray so much. He's handsome, adorable, a goofball and just an amazing character. I love Dan Aykroyd.

My second favorite Ghostbuster. I’m so happy all these memorable moments are being uploaded. “Go get her Ray!”
ray is enthusiastic about it, Egon is nervous about it and venkman couldn't care less
And Winston is there just for the paycheck
😂😂😂
"Hey, does this pole still work ? WOW, this place is great, when can we move in ?!! I'm gonna get my stuff" - Dr. Raymond Stantz
I love how he sounds like a little kid in that scene lol
The character was written as a guy with ASD

Everybody's favorite scene: discussing the mortgage rate on Ray's childhood home.

Best guy! I love Dan Aykroyd and so much of him as a person is in Ray as a character. Both are definitely the heart of the Ghostbusters 💖💖💖
As a kid reenacting the scene in which Ray first sees Slimer, I absolutely had to have a fake cigarette barely stuck to my lip as I whispered, "Venkman!... Venkman!".
This is why Dan Aykroyd's character became a fan favorite.
I love how when any serious shit went down Peter always threw Ray under the bus 😂
Happy (rescheduled) Ghostbusters day!! Also happy birthday to the legend dan aykroyd!❤

There was a second film you know.
Making a toaster dance and being dropped into a river of slime were pretty cool moments.
Also fighting off Stay Puft from the ground level of Time Square in The Video Game was just as cool.
