Judith Durham one of the greatest female vocalist ever.
So sad. Glad I saw them on farewell tour. Love them. Goodnight, Judith x
Judith's voice is still as it was from the beginning, beautiful.
Amen to that.
I think this is a case of rose tinted glasses. She's still very good but no-one can be as good at that age as they were when they were young.
Delbo359 when was it that u became deaf ?
@@Trev359 You are correct. Her vibrato got a bit wobbly with age, but she was still a fine singer here.
Seriously? If anything she is better.
I was just 10 years in 65 when i first heard this song on the danish top 20 . The wonderful voice of Judith Durham have stayed in my head ever since and touches me every time i listen to this song.
AT 74 THIS IS BREAKING MY HEART !
This song always brings tears to my eyes and never more than today. RIP Judith - loved all over the world.
Exactly. I feel the same way.
Since her death I can't stop watching the farewell tour on RUclips. They were great in the early days but that last performance was exceptional. Judith was sensational. To me Judith was better in the twilight of her career, unbelievably so.

I well remember The Seekers from the ‘60s, but must confess that, now in my ninth decade, I’ve learned to appreciate them now as I should have long ago. I truly love them.
RIP Judith 8/5/2022.
You’re not the only one!
That song is the greatest, and that is from a pommie, I cannot stop playing it. Judith you will be very much missed. God bless & R.I.P.
Bri Dicko.
Judith, your voice is as good as ever it was. Amazing. You are a star.
in my opinion the best female vocalist of all time
Wow
It's not your opinion. It an opinion of all good-music lover.
@@笠武蘭香 ALL good music lover??.What about lovers with an 's ' on the end?? Anyway, that's YOUR opinion, fine. But DON'T try to say what other opinions are of everyone else who likes good music, because you do NOT know that. Nobody does.
Vale Judith - thank you for all the music - the carnival has been fun while it lasted :)
Simply lovely and fabulous. No auto pitch, no playback. .. just a couple of acoustic guitars, a double bass, 4 microphones and talent that seeps through their pores. This has been a seriously beautiful experience and has rejuvenated and revitalised all my 5 senses. Thank you so much.
Her wonderful voice stayed with her all her life, into old age. Marvellous talent, lovely woman...
Thank you very much! Beatiful!
The harmony and Judith's voice is so moving. I was present at farewell tour in the Albert Hall in 2014.
Amazing, they still sounded perfect.
Judith, Karen Carpenter and Mama Cass had the purest voices, velvety and butter.
A voice from another planet
RIP Judith Durham. The carnival is now truely over :(
Such a quality quartet... Saw both their 25th at the Albert Hall and their 50 th in Brighton...As good as ever....Judith....There will NEVER be another you....You and the boys are the nearest thing to Australian royalty that Australia will ever have!
How true!!
R.I.P. Judith - such an amazing voice. Sing with the angels now

Her voice never got old.

So wonderful. This will be my last song when I go.

Judith's voice just soars to the heavens.......
Forever a joy just listening and remembering love lost , Sandra Eileen Wedge ....
50 odd years on and this reminds me of the hustle and bustle of a 3 bed house with 8 people living it. Radio on listening to great songs like this. Bitter sweet
The Seekers have grown old so graciously as likeable as ever my favourite band and world class too

They sound as great as they did in the 60s. I loved the Seekers and was thrilled to see them perform back then in Johannesburg.

RIP Judith ... The Carnival Is Over.
Voice of an Angel x
Let’s do dinner, Judith.
Such a gifted beautiful woman.
I can weep - and do - when I hear the melodies and lyrics of the music from the folk era... had we only known then what was going to happen to America in 2020... we would have stayed in woods with our music. We thought it was rough in those days... little did we know what the young people today would be willing to give up so they can do what they want... well, at least 'think' they can do what they want. They have no idea what is coming in their newly designed world, eh!
Judith Durham is amazing, the voice of a angel.
The voice and voices never changed even the skills of instruments. Despite the ages.
Those were the days sphedid thax for the great music
Your life is through , Judith - we will never find another you .
No one sings this like judith
Songs 🎵 are not made like this anymore shame those were the good days
R.I.P. Judith!!!
MAGICAL !!!
In a heavenly choir
Lovely voice
Judith's voice an aussie saint 💚
Rest in Peace Judith ,
like a fine wine.......
세월은 흘렀지만 천사의 목소리는 변함이 없네요
Amazing. Xx
National treasures
Never say 'never', Judith!
Good bye Judith - very special
Aw reminds of my first love
¡Hermoso regalo que Dios nos da!Una bella mujer y hermosos caballeros ¡Cantan cómo los mismísimos angeles! ¡Que Dios los siga cuidando!
Geweldig 10-06-2021
I should have added if just listening you'd not believe this was 50 years after its original release, Judith's voice remained brilliant.
The guys harmonies also hardly changed.
Lena zavaroni sang this just as good even better , beautiful
Que grupo mas hermozo y los felicito por tantos años de exitos bendición
Five feet of voice power
RIP Judith Durham, truly the most beautiful voice. While there are records to be played the Carnival will never really be over.
I was so fortunate to see her sing live in 2014 in Gateshead ,she was brilliant ,truly the voice of an angel RIP ❤️❤️❤️
@@GatesheadLad23 I saw the Seekers in Birmingham twice, in the 90s for the 25 years tour then again this century when they toured again. Wonderful both times. I was born in '68 and grew up with their records but never imagined I would ever get to see them live, so it was marvelous when they reformed and Future Road came out.
What a voice.
@@GatesheadLad23 i too was at gateshead they were fantastic
As I watch this, it is so much more meaningful after listening to Carry Me. It is such a special song, and a memory that will remain in many hearts. What a joy you gave us Miss Judith, and all. 💖💖💖. So grateful..
I'm 74 and will never forget the wonderful voice of Judith Durham. Thank you ❤
Saddened to hear of the passing of Judith Durham, so pure, so wholesome, the voice of an angel 😇 😪
You shouldn't be so saddened. She is in a better place now. This world is disgusting
This just came too my knowledge sooo saddened this great voice will be enjoyed in HEAVEN GOD BLESS JUDITH “ LOVED ALL YOUR SONGS!!
I cried to this song, 37 years ago when an exchange student I was fond of- left to go home. I never seen her again. Sad to hear of your passing Judith, it has stirred up old emotions. RIP Judith, this song will live forever.
Judith sounds every bit as good in this version as she did 55 years ago! Incredible vocalist.
55 years ago? Seems both so long ago and yet as yesterday. Thanks
she has autotune on a bit but still
For those of us who loved their sound all those years ago, when we were all so young, this performance brings tears to the eyes. They do look like three loving, big brothers with their precious little sister. May God bless and keep you and thank you for half a century of pure, wholesome enjoyment.
Those were the days!!! Even after 60 Years tears are falling from my eyes ,tears of joy!! Cannot forget this the yester years .That The SEEkERS.👏👏
Well said Barry,I think most of us of a certain age will be feeling the same.
Thank God for these recordings, they will live on forever
When I saw them in concert on their English farewell tour it really did come over what you say: 3 loving big brothers and their precious little sister.
I LOVE them sooo much . . . a crazy Heavy Metal Fan ( 52 ) from Germany . . . ! ! !
One of the best vocalists gifted to the world. Rest in peace Judith .
What a voice even after all the years have passed still as strong as ever. What a lovely lady.
And to think she suffered a brain haemorrhage not long before this and had to learn to sing again. I was at one of these concerts in London and what a show it was. Magical and so emotional. They all sounded as good as when I first saw them in '66! And I thank them for their music.
Eternal
We all adore her!!!💕💕💕💕💕💐💐💐💐💐
Omg! If Wikipedia is right Judith is 70 years old there, not lost it one bit, amazing!
Such a fitting song for me to finish on as I remember the beautiful Judith Durham this morning after hearing of her passing! She looks like an angel in this video......I pray that she is in the loving care of heavenly angels and that Almighty God watch over her soul and keep her safe. She'll no doubt be singing in heavenly choirs.......RIP beloved Judith!
Im sure! She is a perfect example of someone who deserves Gods savior. Humble and sweet,as she was
St. Joseph will watch over her.
I was so sad to hear of Judith's passing The greatest female singer ever. RIP
Rest easy Judith. One of the best voices of the 60's onwards. I was lucky enough to see you and the Boys 6 times and your solo concert twice. Always brilliant. Had a wee weep when I heard the news on the radio tonight. RIP you beautiful angel.
I am Dutch, I am 61 years old and I have been a fan of this exceptionally talented group for as long as I can remember. After so many years and still tears in my eyes when I hear this song. Three real gentlemen and a fragile lovely lady with the voice of a nightingale. Warm greetings from the Netherlands.
Me & a mate travelled to Amsterdam & on train met a Dutch bloke who met up with us in Amsterdam , great bloke , can’t remember his name But I hope he is good , that was over 30 years ago !
I am German and I agree
American. Her signing always brings me to the edge of my seat.
I am Englander but I was in gutersough
Abba Fernando
I have been an avid music fan for over 45 years and have come to truly love the Seekers. Judith Durham has a voice that is rare. If you are a music lover, this lady's voice can make your spine tingle and raise goose bumps on your arms. She is the definition of an icon and to me, one of the greatest female vocalists to have ever lived. May you rest in peace.
Totally agree - simply magnificent ❤❤❤
The greatest female vocalist I've ever had the fortune of hearing, a voice of an angel, wonderful music
Brian Clarke and Dusty Springfield
Can't disagree, but Karen Carpenter.
@@nicolai6161 Yes, Dusty Springfield. I would go to prison for the rest of my live just to sit next to her on a bus.
may I add Anne Murray. Love them both
Wonderful voice this song always makes me cry
Just played " Carnival" again. Bought tears to my eyes. 79 years old. Same age as Judith and still get affected by the beautiful, pure proper singing, unlike some of the so called music today. She will never be forgotten. R.I.P.
I went to a rave many years ago and the last song the last DJ played was “The Carnival is Over”. To see hundreds of people who had been partying all night to techno, singing and swaying to this song was both weird and wonderful.
Amazing - a good way to finishing - smart DJ
It's become an anthem
Yes it is a song everyone can relqte to sometime in theier lives but ther will be others I promise,.those who are sad at this time
Is there anyone else that's been singing 50 years as good as she is now never mind when they were younger? Judith, you are amazing!
She is that 💪🏻
@@lesliejamesellam8902 I consider myself a pretty harsh critic,...and the only other vocalist I can think of is Tom Jones. If you watch/listen to the few cameo performances on "The Voice UK", he sounds as good,...95% or better percentage of what he sounded like in the mid 60s. Though I have not heard him attempt "Without Love". Judith here is,...just WOW! I cannot imagine the emotions the four of them were feeling, knowing this would be THE LAST TIME they would ever be nestled in the warm cocoon of that ensemble,..fitting lyrics.
She has the most Beautiful voice on this planet I must say Fair Dinkum mate
Just one: Joan Baez
Only Anne Wilson
What a sound ,has beautiful as back when they started. Their voices just fit perfectly
One of greatest vocalists. RIP
I can remember ,when we were kids,Judith Durham ,was my Dad’s favourite singer. It is only now , as I am around the same age as Dad was at that time that I realise how right he was. Her voice is simply wonderful.
jump on the bandwagon Pat dont get crushed
sandy baby thanks for your reply and not quite sure what you mean by it but anyway, have a good day.😎
@@edwardandrew4107 just happy to see proper singing appreciated Edward and not the drivel thats out there today
sandy baby I am with you on that 100 %.Have a good day..
