I have been an avid music fan for over 45 years and have come to truly love the Seekers. Judith Durham has a voice that is rare. If you are a music lover, this lady's voice can make your spine tingle and raise goose bumps on your arms. She is the definition of an icon and to me, one of the greatest female vocalists to have ever lived. May you rest in peace.
@@GatesheadLad23 I saw the Seekers in Birmingham twice, in the 90s for the 25 years tour then again this century when they toured again. Wonderful both times. I was born in '68 and grew up with their records but never imagined I would ever get to see them live, so it was marvelous when they reformed and Future Road came out.
As I watch this, it is so much more meaningful after listening to Carry Me. It is such a special song, and a memory that will remain in many hearts. What a joy you gave us Miss Judith, and all. 💖💖💖. So grateful..
I am Dutch, I am 61 years old and I have been a fan of this exceptionally talented group for as long as I can remember. After so many years and still tears in my eyes when I hear this song. Three real gentlemen and a fragile lovely lady with the voice of a nightingale. Warm greetings from the Netherlands.

Just played " Carnival" again. Bought tears to my eyes. 79 years old. Same age as Judith and still get affected by the beautiful, pure proper singing, unlike some of the so called music today. She will never be forgotten. R.I.P.
Since her death I can't stop watching the farewell tour on RUclips. They were great in the early days but that last performance was exceptional. Judith was sensational. To me Judith was better in the twilight of her career, unbelievably so.
@@davehodges1193 I well remember The Seekers from the ‘60s, but must confess that, now in my ninth decade, I’ve learned to appreciate them now as I should have long ago. I truly love them. RIP Judith 8/5/2022.
I cried to this song, 37 years ago when an exchange student I was fond of- left to go home. I never seen her again. Sad to hear of your passing Judith, it has stirred up old emotions. RIP Judith, this song will live forever.
For those of us who loved their sound all those years ago, when we were all so young, this performance brings tears to the eyes. They do look like three loving, big brothers with their precious little sister. May God bless and keep you and thank you for half a century of pure, wholesome enjoyment.
When I saw them in concert on their English farewell tour it really did come over what you say: 3 loving big brothers and their precious little sister.
Such a fitting song for me to finish on as I remember the beautiful Judith Durham this morning after hearing of her passing! I was just 10 years in 65 when i first heard this song on the danish top 20 . The wonderful voice of Judith Durham have stayed in my head ever since and touches me every time i listen to this song.
In my humble opinion there has never in the history of recorded voice been a female singer to hold a candel to Judith Durham, just the best female vocalist in audio history bar none.
While my brothers were trying to get me to listen to Hawkwind, Deep Purple and Black Sabbath as a child in the early '70s, I alway preferred the clarity and simplicity of the beautiful voice of Judith Durham and The Seekers that Mum and Dad had in their record collection. So sad that Judith has now passed away but I'm sure she's singing with the angels now. This song always bought a tear to my and is now even more poignant. Thanks for helping provide with me some lovely childhood memories of listening to all those Seekers tunes.
Simply lovely and fabulous. No auto pitch, no playback. .. just a couple of acoustic guitars, a double bass, 4 microphones and talent that seeps through their pores. This has been a seriously beautiful experience and has rejuvenated and revitalised all my 5 senses. Thank you so much.
And the great Judith has just passed away. 6/8/22. The carnival now is really over. This great lady gave the world so much pleasure. The whole group. But especially the great Judith. Lady Australia.
This is so beautiful, these people have still the sound they had 50 years ago! What talent, what a gift! Judith is still as pretty as ever! Thanks for posting this video!

You could tell from the first nano second of her starting to sing that it was Judith. The carnival is now over, Judith, but we will love you long, long after you’ve died. Thank you
Such an emotional song and a fitting tribute to Judith and The Seekers.
I was just 10 years in 65 when i first heard this song on the danish top 20 . The wonderful voice of Judith Durham have stayed in my head ever since and touches me every time i listen to this song.
love this. my brother had a hymn version of this at his funeral chosen by me an my sis. ❤
Judith Durham and Karen Carpenter - the purest of all contemporary female singing voices. 🎼🎶🎶🎶🥰🥰
I would add Sissel to that list
I do not agree Karen carpenter was a far better singer
In my humble opinion there has never in the history of recorded voice been a female singer to hold a candel to Judith Durham, just the best female vocalist in audio history bar none.
I just wish there had been the chance of hearing Judith sing _with_ any of Julie, Nana, or possibly Mireille. Or with Karen.
I'd add Patsy Cline to that list.
Her voice just got more and more beautiful - if that is possible. Truly an angel.
Like the finest of wines, they simply just got better and better as the years passed by.
And the great Judith has just passed away. 6/8/22. The carnival now is really over. This great lady gave the world so much pleasure. The whole group. But especially the great Judith. Lady Australia.
Thank you for sharing this great performance. Judith and the Seekers will never be forgotten.
Never, ever
Excellent sound, thanks for saving all
of the Seekers excellent voices and harmonies for eternity!❤
This is so beautiful, these people have still the sound they had 50 years ago! What talent, what a gift! Judith is still as pretty as ever! Thanks for posting this video!
We send convicts there and Australia sends this back what an amazing country. WOW I was so taken back by this nothing lost over the years quality added brings tears of joy.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May all the souls of the faithful departed, by the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
Vale Judith - thank you for all the music - the carnival has been fun while it lasted :)
I fell in love with this lady from the first time I heard her sing this song ... I was 4 years old , now at 55 I can still feel that old crush , memories are bitter sweet . love this song .
I know the feeling.
That was such a sweet comment.😊
Me too I think I was 15 and have loved this lady’s unique voice ever since, just beautiful xx
me also
I wish you’d spend less time fantasizing about a woman and more time on learning correct grammar.
Absolutely spectacular, Judith your voice is still beautiful, and the rest of the Seekers so finely tuned!
