Planine nad Dolino Soče še živijo. Tu se izdelujejo sir, albuminska skuta in včasih maslo, pije se sirotka, za malico in večerjo se tradicionalno pripravlja polento in kislo mleko.
Oktobra živina zapusti planine v Julijskih alpah in se vrne v dolino ob Sočo. Video prikazuje izdelavo sira in masla po starem na enem izmed zadnjih delovnih dni v planini nad Dolino Soče, in sicer oktobra 2023.

"From the mountains in the traditional way" is the slogan of dairy Mlekarna Planika, because in the production of our products we use old recipes and some old procedures, such as ripening the cheese on wooden shelves and turning the wheels by hand.
The mountains above the Soča Valley are still alive. Cheese, albumen curd and sometimes butter are made here, whey is drunk, polenta and sour milk are traditionally prepared for lunch and dinner.
In October, the cows leaves the mountains in Julian Alps and returns to the valley near Soča river. The video shows the traditional way of making cheese and butter on one of the last working days in pasture in the mountains above the Soča Valley, in October 2023.
