Drive Shafts Removal: (Front & Rear)
11mm Wrench
3/8” to 1/4” adapter
1/4” 3inch extension
3/8” impact
12inch prybar
Crossbars/Subframes
18MM 1/2” shallow socket
18MM Wrench
21MM 1/2” long socket
21MM Wrench
(If 4x4 for transfer case)
15MM Ratcheting Wrench
15MM 1/2” Shallow Socket
1/2” ratchet
1/2” swivel joint socket
(Recommended using a electric ratchet to cut removal time by up to 90%)
Actual transmission:
13MM 1/2” Deep Socket
14MM 1/2” Deep Socket
15MM 1/2” Deep Socket
1/2” 12inch Extension
1/2” swivel joint socket
Wire cutters (the longer the better)
90° mechanic pick to loosen oil line E-clips
Torque converter:
1/2” 12inch extension
15MM Shallow Socket
15MM Ratcheting Wrench
3/8” Ratchet
3/8” 15MM shallow socket
3/8” 3inch extension
(Recommended using a electric ratchet to cut removal time by up to 90%)
**KEEP IN MIND THESE ARE THE BASIC TOOLS TO HAVE IN YOUR BAG FOR THE “PERFECT SCENARIO”**
I WOULD TAKE EXTRA TOOLS LIKE 12MM, 16MM, 17MM SHORT AND SHALLOW 1/2” & 3/8” SOCKETS and an adjustable wrench just in case!!
