What’s up bro? Quick question, will a 4l60e from an 08 GMC Envoy work on a 08 Silverado 5.3 with the swap of the torque converter and bellhousing? Thanks man!! You’re killing it btw!
that's awesome... you California guys got it easy.... in Minnesota this is a fairy tale!! You need saws or torches to remove that cross member on any 20 year old car!!! Just did one on a van, had to remove the y pipe with a saw, 4 of the 6 nuts holding it on were not un-boltable think cone shape from the rust :(
Thanks for stopping by!! I HAVE to go check out some yard in the east coast and pull off a 4L60E to see how bad it is lol last time i felt with rusted bolts was on a 88 Chevy lol
In Iowa we have 2018s that are rusting. Not all but it would impress people not used to it. Then mechanics still get paid the same book time. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for the idea I’ll get onto it. I appreciate the feedback thanks for stopping by and sorry for the late reply been super busy more videos coming soon I have a good 10 in the vault just need to edit
West coast custom concrete does voice-overs where he talks some crap but he backs it up and drops some knowledge on which even if you're not into that it does explain method to his madness. Not trying to compare two completely different channels but with your talent there's no reason you shouldn't be a top result because you earned it.
Hey bro might be a stupid question but i got a 93 suburban that takes a 4l60e can i get one off of any other vehicle that has a 4l60 e or does it have to be off of a 93
Subscribed, hey man I have a 06 Silverado 4.3 2wd trans went out will only A 4.3 2wd trans work or will a V8 4l60e 2wd work also? Read that they have different torque converters
Yes they’ll work just make sure you use a v6 torque converter so your truck is running up to spec! Sorry for the late reply thanks for stopping by 🔩👨🏻🔧🙏🏽
Haven't seen any new video alerts in a while. Still haven't gone after that 4L60E in that 4x4 Tahoe 5 hours away. He said the front and rear axles have been removed, but he can use his tractor to lift the frame on its' side...lol. Not sure gravity would work in my favor on that project. Have you ever tried that? Any advice? Keep up the good work.
Just read your whole comment…… hope You’re still alive brotha jajajajaj never ever EVER trust a hydraulic anything to hold a truck up for you Tree stumps are more safe!!!!
1. Dip tube comes off when you remove transmission. 2. You don’t reuse old nasty filters unless you’re a clown. 3. I remove the oil pan to inspect the transmission.
Hahaha that’s right!! I have a whole container with nothing but 10mm long/short sockets, wrenches, etc. you can never have enough!! Thanks for stopping by bro!! 🦾👨🏻🔧
Don't ever allow you're work quality to fall as low as this dudes. Cutting through harnesses, losing all the hardware. Dropping the tranny from 2 feet off the ground, cracking the housing. Makes all mechanics look bad, n this is coming from a successful heavy mechanic working in gold mines. Bad habits will only allow you to work in a junkyard.

Yes. If it’s a 2WD the transmission tag on the 08 trailblazer has to be 8SWD if it’s the 8SAD it won’t work
@@Ajunkman Thanks for the speedy response! That's exactly what I found the 8SWD. Appreciate it!!
9 minutes? I guess I take too many beer and cigarette breaks. But at age 68 I think I deserve em
Hahah!! Thanks for watching!! I prefer taking my time with a couple beers too sometimes lol
Good work man I plan on getting back into the junkyard, do you have a business of selling them? Why so many of the 4l60e?

I do like the write up of the tool list but I think a voice over would be amazing. It's your videos and your choice. Keep up the good work.

No problem on the delay. Life gets busy. Keep up the good work. I will keep watching because it saves time when I'm pulling because you have it down.
