Thanks to you guys I purchased the Sonos beam, gen two with the sub mini I just added and surrounds in my living room. Absolutely love it… in my dining room, I have a Sonos one SL plus sonos 1 with smart assistant paired in stereo sitting on two desk stands from soundbass. Absolutely love them also… I purchased a Sonos Move for the rest of the house./garden. Great speaker… and finally in my garage at the end of my garden. I have a Ikea sonos bookshelf speaker. I am totally satisfied with my setup. so I would like to thank you all for your recommendations and reviews and I wish you all a very happy Christmas 👍🏻
Hi David, glad we could help out and sounds like you are building an awesome Sonos home 🤝
Great idea and video, makes sense in real world applications!
Your brothers house is identical to mine, size and layout wise. However I recently purchases beam gen 2 but didn't bother with the sub. It seemed like overkill plus my house is a semi.
I also purchased x2 One SLs. One in kitchen and one in bedroom. Nice video :)
Hi Lui! Given that my living room is 6x3.5m, which configuration is ideal for a space of this size?
A. Sonos Beam Gen 2 + Sub Mini
Or
B. Sonos Arc + Sub Mini
I have an hour to spend before work and I was looking for such a video. Cheers
@ Smart Home Sounds I have an arc 2 sl sub gen 3 I need another speaker for another room I was thinking the move 2 . ? So I can move it from one room to another or another sl
Recommendations please . I would also like the ability to connect to Bluetooth.
Maybe the Era 300 then I can connect to Bluetooth. Thanks in advance .
Exactly the type of channel I've been looking for. We bought an absolute wreck of a Victorian house and we're having an absolute nightmare trying to decide on sound systems. We're hoping to do something with home assistant but not too sure what's available. Just in the process of rebuilding walls and studding the walls etc so it's the perfect time to get any wiring in
Glad you found us! If you need any help, our team are always happy to chat.
@@smarthomesounds thank you, I've just got the drawings through for the house so it's definitely something I'll need to do. I haven't got a clue where to start
Is your brother considering the use of a smart assistant? If so, how would Apple Homepod Mini’s go upstairs and around the house? Sonos for the main theatre setup combined with Apple HomePod mini’s downstairs as well.
Just added the sub gen 3 from you guys to my Arc+One SL setup......over the next year I'll be adding a few Ones and/or Symfonisk speakers around the house for music with a Beam and one SLs in the Sun room👌
A really, really well thought out solution. Kudos.
Thanks 👍
Wow, seems your brother has a 30h-day... :D Thanks for the inspiration, man!
Excellent L. Great clear and practical advice for the average house.
Glad we could help Mark 🤝
@@smarthomesounds Do the IKEA lights sound as good as the Ones and would work as good as rears?
I got the beam gen 2, ones's for surrounds and the sub mini from you in the black Friday sale - thank you for great service, quick delivery etc.
My room is an odd shape so can't get surrounds behind me, and they are on glass tables. Would desktop stands make much / any difference to the sound quality here ?
Hi there, great to have you as part of the community and thank you for your order from us. I hope you’re enjoying your new setup! Desk stands are a good addition to ensure your speakers are at an optimal listening height but as long as your table places your speakers at a good height then that’s a good alternative. I would see how you go and if you’re happy with the performance then you’ve saved yourself a bit of money 👍🏻
Nice setup. I’d love to see what could be done for a smaller budget of maybe £1k.
It’s a shame the Google killed off the Chromecast Audio and the Google Home Max. They had some great products for multiroom audio at competitive prices.
Genuine question: did they kill it off, or where they sued by Sonos and lost?
Hi there, I recently bought Sonos Beam Gen 2. Everything works perfectly fine, except that sometimes TV audio is not playing. It only happens once in a while. I tried unplug/plug the TV and the Sonos beam, but it didn’t work. Any ideas on the fix?
I have Beam Gen 1+symfonisk bookshelf speakers with a LG OLED 55C9. I did have the same issue and the Beam would occasionally have no sound when I turned on the TV. Turning the TV off/on fixed it and restored the sound 100% of the time. Recently upgraded to the latest firmware on my I.O.S. and added a Gen 3 Sub. Now, the Beam now starts with the volume on "0" (zero) and I have to use the remote to increase the volume everytime. I figure it is a LG OLED C9 thing because it doesn't happen to my other two LG OLED C1.
Amazing video! Would love to see with Bose. Then a smaller budget too
Thanks Adam, that’s noted.
This might be a really stupid question but i’m buying a ground floor flat.
If I wanted ceiling speakers will they cause issues for the flat above me?
They sell enclosures for in-ceiling speakers to prevent sound leakage to above floor
Also if you live in the UK there are requirements in some areas for 'Fire Mats' which enclose ceiling speakers and prevent fire spread in the unlikely event.
Sonos in all room its great.
Does Sonos make outdoor speakers?
Symfonisk bookshelves for surrounds all the way
Great video….would love one with a limitless budget to see what the best ultimate set up would be
Glad you enjoyed it! Keep your eyes peeled... 👀
What software are you using for the floor plan?
Canva
2 Ikea as stereo is fantastic, best base with 2 Ikea picture.
Can you do a video on how well Sonos works with Siri?
❤❤❤
Second hand Sonos gear on S1 system, and money would go a lot further.
Arc+sub 3gen +era 100 room 4m2/3.4m2
Samsung next please!
Denon HEOS next
Personally I'd lose the Sub Mini for now so he could have a Beam Gen2 in the master bedroom.
Avoid like the plague the Sonos app is damn near useable.
This just proves Sonos is too expensive
How come?
You don’t get a lot for £2000
Genuinely curious - what would you recommend? I've started researching sound improvement options and different input is welcommed
It’s expensive. But honestly it’s worth it for a lot of situations. You can definitely get better quality home theatre audio for the money. You can also have whole home audio without Sonos. But Sonos is so seamless with a multi-person household. Airplay and Spotify connect (sadly, no Chromecast) make it painless for everyone. Which is the killer feature.
@@StairmasterN1nja I have the beam and 3 ones but that is £1000 already.agree with what u say but as I said just too pricey
blathering on about SONOS .. while you have Klipsch in the background. Also .. your choice of Beam is a fundamental mistake .. so the rest is a waste of time
