I can hear and feel charity, the pure love of Christ, through the prophet’s voice. If we listen to, believe in, and act on the words of all the holy prophets, we will recognize the voice of our Savior, Jesus Christ, when he comes again.
Fear about what's gonna happen to me somewhere in the future...fear that I may not be making the right decision...fear of everything that's going on in my life right now... I just wanna be free from all of that. And knowing that I am a daughter of God makes me feel that I'm not alone and that He loves me.
I feel that it’s more than adoption, the Greek word in the New Testament translated as “adoption” could actually refer to “Sonship” like the Sonship of Christ. Though it’s quite similar of course.

Lots of this video hinted about how labels divide, and we are more than a label, and how the world constantly strives to simply categorize people as one thing and put them into boxes and separate them. As someone who was an active participant in the LGBTQ community, this message speaks volumes. We are not alone.

Take it as intended, with a humble heart: -In a Military Ward, they'd ask the newcomer, "Are you Officer or Enlisted?". -In another Ward they'd ask the newcomer, "Are you renting or buying?" -Once, while at Crystal Hot Springs in Utah, I was sitting at the Hot Tub where the Young men's Presidency was sitting as The Youth were off on their own. The men didnt know me... One of the men said, "It's not good when The Ward has apartments. Apartment dwellers drag a Ward down". It's kind of importannt for us not to do that kind of labeling, creating a pecking order amongst the members. Please be kind. I'm not saying; I'm just saying.
I have a strong testimony but I don't feel like I belong.I am so allergic to perfume. Attending church is difficult. I can't go to the adult classes or young womens and they kicked me out of primary. At least that is how it feels. We go to Sacrament meeting with our son and then leave right after. Our son stays and we pick him up after the 2nd hour. I hope I will have the strength to keep Attending Sacrament meeting when he is an adult and moved out.

It isn't the right path. The whole thing with judging and labeling is that it is done based on how they look and what they look like. That is a terrible way to judge people. Instead you should see what their actions seem to be and decide what you do from there. If you don't then that is just going backwards and society does not get better.

I feel for you but please refrain from using nicknames such as "LDS". When referring to Church members, the terms "members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" or "Latter-day Saints" are preferred.
The lyrics to the song "I Am A Child of God" says that we all have parents "who are kind and dear." That's entirely false. There are millions of children who do not have those kinds of parents. It's the reason I don't like the song. I didn't have that kind of childhood. And the song just reminds of that fact. Whoever us responsible for that wording, really got it totally wrong! Thank God to those children who had those kinds of parents. It's teally sad that it isn't true for everyone.

I sincerely appreciate the message. I believe we all are Spirit Children of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. However... In the book of Mormon, Ammon did have to chop off a lot of arms to convince King Lemoni. Helaman and the Stripling warriors had to fight against their kin. This is lost on the current, soft generation, and this toned down emphasis of evil, is getting on my nerves as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Christ had a sense of humor, and a temper too.

At least that is how it feels. We go to Sacrament meeting with our son and then leave right after. Our son stays and we pick him up after the 2nd hour. I hope I will have the strength to keep Attending Sacrament meeting when he is an adult and moved out.

judging and labeling people is normal and a natural way of staying safe and on the right path.
It isn't the right path. The whole thing with judging and labeling is that it is done based on how they look and what they look like. That is a terrible way to judge people. Instead you should see what their actions seem to be and decide what you do from there. If you don't then that is just going backwards and society does not get better.

I believe that RIGHTEOUS judgement is where safety comes in.. Not putting hurtful or degrading labels on people or their situations.

I feel for you but please refrain from using nicknames such as "LDS". When referring to Church members, the terms "members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints" or "Latter-day Saints" are preferred.

The lyrics to the song "I Am A Child of God" says that we all have parents "who are kind and dear." That's entirely false. There are millions of children who do not have those kinds of parents. It's the reason I don't like the song. I didn't have that kind of childhood. And the song just reminds of that fact. Whoever us responsible for that wording, really got it totally wrong! Thank God to those children who had those kinds of parents. It's teally sad that it isn't true for everyone.

Hola hermana, entiendo tu punto de vista. Yo lo veo un poco diferente. Creo que sabiendo que somos hijos de Dios nos da paz. Quizas el video queria presentar que aun que no estamos en los momentos mas felices de la vida, podemos sentir paz y seguridad y que tenemos valor. Por otra parte, quizas solo tenian nervios en frente de la camara :)

I sincerely appreciate the message. I believe we all are Spirit Children of Heavenly Father and Heavenly Mother. However... In the book of Mormon, Ammon did have to chop off a lot of arms to convince King Lemoni. Helaman and the Stripling warriors had to fight against their kin. This is lost on the current, soft generation, and this toned down emphasis of evil, is getting on my nerves as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Christ had a sense of humor, and a temper too.
Ok.. but the prophet just gave us all a needed spiritual boost.
Maybe a "thank you" would be more appropriate than "They chopped off arms in the BOM..." 🙄
