Two of the sexiest and talented men alive...and RIP, T-Bone. This song always makes me cry! Just came out, and these guys wrote the soundtrack to my life....
One thing that I've noticed forever about Daryl is that the man puts everything into each performance, he always did. The guy is the embodiment of music.
Halls father was a professional singer. His mother a professional vocal coach. That explains a bit why he sings so excellent. He studied music in university and did his first recordings while he was still a student.
gosh .. for some reason this performance made me tear up ... seeing them getting old makes me sad and feel sad how these singers made the best songs back then are getting old. It's sad that songs today aren't as good as songs that people such as Hall & Oates, Steve Perry (Journey), Stephen Bishop, Christopher Cross and many more singers who had composed the best songs
these guys are all just so damned good. what a gift. I love the loose thang they have going.. loose enough to spread out, experiment just a little..a little leeway, but tight and solid from the skills and talent. I loves it !!
LOVE this song and a terrific version, so nice to see them perform and at the Troubador, wow, who knew 30 some odd years later we'd see them there!!:-D
A great and enduring band. One of the few bands that actually IMPROVE over time. Though their 80's versions will always be legend, I think they sound much more beautiful and colorful now.
unbelievable - solid performance in every aspect. A real treat to listen to and thank god for you tube and all of those that take the time to post these little gems!
I really love this song, one of my favs, thanks to god there is youtube to keep alive this jewels and now are available to share with my kids and enjoy together
Fala sério. Hall&Oates. Cada vez que assisto esse vídeo me vem uma vontade imensa de estar naquela platéia. Banda maravilhosa. Daryl como o vinho,:Cada vez melhor!!!
realmente daryl hall e john oates são show de bola... alto nível, estão entre os "The best"...do mundo...obrigado amigos. pbarni - brazil, porto alegre
Hall and oates is definitely part of that trancends time category i listen to a little bit of everything going back to the 50s and they still manage to sound great and many of there songs aren't easy to pull of live
On this day in 1983 {December 11th} "Say It Isn't So" by Hall and Oates peaked at #2 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's Top 100 chart, the four weeks it was at #2, the #1 record for those four weeks was "Say Say Say" by Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson... And on December 18th, 1983 it reached #1 {for 4 weeks} on Billboard's Hot Dance Club Songs chart... Between 1973 and 2004 the Philadelphia duo had thirty eight records on the Top 100 chart, sixteen made the Top 10 with six reaching #1... Their six #1 records were "Rich Girl" for 2 weeks in 1977, "Kiss On My List" for 3 weeks in 1981, "Maneater" for 4 weeks in 1982, "Private Eyes" for 2 weeks in 1981, "I Can't Go For That" for 1 week in 1982, and "Out of Touch" for 2 weeks in 1984...

They put everything they've got into their music

T-Bone was such a backbone of this band - he is greatly missed
I always loved how he played bass and that he was a true musician. Glad I grew up with this music

Just frigging brilliant. Hall has more control in his voice than most could hope for in a lifetime. Masterful, as is the whole band.
Halls father was a professional singer. His mother a professional vocal coach. That explains a bit why he sings so excellent. He studied music in university and did his first recordings while he was still a student.

All three, Daryl John and TBONE playing Taylors and what a great rendition of a great song. Saw these guys live 3 times. One of the great bands.

Daryl has and has ALWAYS had THE BEEEEEST HAIR
and btw Daryl rocked the mullet better than anyone else - of course that was back in the day.
Sublime music, I think that says it all.......
What an excellent performance of an excellent song! The old dogs still got it!
Is that the same saxophonist from the 80's. He always stood out in the videos cause he would be so into it. I love H&O
Yes, same guy. He's still touring with them.
Charlie DeChant is the Saxophone dude's name.
Great music and better performers !
Troubadour, birthplace of hit bands
