It's called growth. 2pac rapped his reality at 25 not 35 or 40. I used tupac as an example but that applies to every rapper. So you mean to say you have wait til they reach 40 and rap wisdomness for you to call them great? This dude is 38 pushing 40, did he not change throughout time? It's not good to put anyone on a high pedestal to satisfy yourself with your so called "role models". Appreciate the greatness these rappers did at a young age to adulthood and separate the bullshit they did. Jayz, Nas, and eminem, etc all rapped about bitches, and the lavish lifestyle, were they not top 5 worthy when they were rapping like that?
Jay-Z never really evolved imo. People say this but I be so lost. It’s always materialistic raps, songs about the coke he sold in 1988, or random “gems” that only sound like gems to dumb people. He is talking about denouncing. Pac didnt get the chance to mature and have that opportunity. But either way, nobody went through the struggle 2pac did. But we know where his heart really was before all the beefs and drama. If he was ever able to get past those issues, he really could have done much more not only as a artist but so much for others in not only music industry but acting and politically as well in some form. Agreed, modern religions as a whole. Mental, Spiritual, and Physical Warfare Historically. People will wake up eventually though
Nas tried the gangster rap image too like Shoot Em Up,A Favor For A Favor,Tales Of The Hood but changed his message. That's what Pac did too,but for me Pacs best tracks were the sad ones like So Many Tears,Lord Knows,Dear Mama,White Mans World,Only Fear Of Death,Nothing To Lose,Unconditional Love,Part Time Mother,Letter To My Unborn,Reincarnation,My Block,Who Do You Believe In.. like there are tons and he always mentioned his belief in god. That's what I liked because even though he was going through hard times he still had faith. That's why i say i think Pac is the greatest because he connected his pain with the people.
One of Pac’s signature songs is Changes. Like not just the black community, everyone but he also had California Love and Hail Mary and I Get Around and Dear Mama. Dude was diverse and these songs are classics. That’s why people consider him the GOAT and for good reason. Dee is just lost.
I still believe if Pac had lived…him & Nas would’ve teamed up against Jay & BIG
Pac would ate his ass up @@FRANKIBABI__
Dmx foh
Tupac would've had a lot of gay acting roles had he lived
@@FRANKIBABI__DMX was a smoker/crackhead 😂 he could barely put a sentence together without gasping for air let alone rap
@@nickb839 I guess he was gon bark at pac cause it wasn't gon be no lyrics to do it pqc would have swallowed him like he did the rest and all they was gon say was pac died so I couldn't respond but he was alive when he dissed yapl you had time but they knew better after he left like said now everybody got so much to say lol smh
I'm from New Orleans, this dude sound dumb... 2pac talk about everything in life plus he was so far in the game, his words when over people head!!!!
Nas was teaching but he also was rapping that street shit to thru the years. PAC peers wasn’t mentally on his level at that young age which years after his death you started to see other rappers catching up mentally.
you can’t be serious
@@realfloxks__0637 pac was on it since 2pacalypse now
Yes what this brother is saying is true but at the same time he is judging from a balcony. Things are different on the ground. Meaning pacs era was different and he was actually faced with a lot of things that ppl just see on the internet in the comfortably of their home. It’s easy to look back at history and say yeah I wouldn’t have done that.
Love the way you explained this. 💯
True, but that don't mean he had to rap about some of the things he rapped about. Or said certain things or did certain things that was opposite of the image he wanted to create. Plenty of artists faced hard times. Its how you choose to deal with them and move forward. He was very intelligent from everything I've seen, but he did some very stupid and reckless things. Pac was unfortunately just as much the cause of his death as other outside forces, and people hate to admit that. Instead we like to glorify everything he did just based off the fact that he lived that life and was a good artist.
It’s easy to say pac made mistakes because he did. He got involved in gang activity. You didn’t have to be there to see that was an obvious mistake
@@dylanhopkins5934 Do you know who pac was? Ppl don’t salute that man almost 30 years later because he was quote on quote about that life. Bruh was way more than an artist or any of that. The ppls reaction prove it everytime💯
@@grymeyworld Yes I know who Pac was. I wasn't about to list every reason why people salute him.😂That wasn't really my point.
Yo ART try to line up a interview with Lupe’s business partner CHILLY. Them dudes been thur ALOT and their stories should be heard if they choose to share it. ✊🏾
Been through a lot??? How?
Don't condemn if you see a person has a dirty glass of water, just show them the clean glass of water that you have. When they inspect it, you won't have to say that yours is better.

Lupe is criminally underrated
"Yeah that fol be spitting lethal, I love 💖 some Conscious rap. They more lyrical than MOST thug, party rappers. Lupe a god with music he one of my all time favorites. "
Cormega is a good example of the change he mentioned
Nas been my favorite rapper since day 1
2pac didn't evolve ? What is this the same man been dead for almost 30 years and dropping hot songs albums still staying relevant he's undoubtedly the greatest rapper his work ethic and evolution and alot of what he done is insane and way ahead of his time
He evolved thru his music mentally
Totally agree wirh Dee1 the Power✊is the music you 👂put out👂✊industry music 🎶🎚🎶💔is now heart breaking whats being played can not be understood nor sung later for future generations to come💔❤🎶🖤🎶💚💔
Incorrect, Nas was on that gangsta ish with Mobb Deep. Living fantasies.
Exactly "Nas Escobar" ...could have named himself anything but chose to be remembered for idolizing a murderous drug cartel boss
Nas definitely done some cornball shit too… ppl just don’t know or choose not to acknowledge it
How
Oochie Wally anyone 😂
If Dee gone take that perspective he might as well stop rapping because rather he like it or not those rappers that didn’t rap positivity had a influence for where he is today. You can’t change what got you where you are now. You got to meet people where they are you can’t force change on nobody who ain’t ready for that. Especially someone stuck with a survival mindset.
I feel you..truly. But can't he force change on himself tho? He openly says it's a choice to change.
What no Rakim no KRS-One?
💯 he don't know he running his mouth

I thought d1 was dropping facts until now pac was already elevated he has some of the best Conscious rap gangster raps raps for the ladies on earth ( dear mama Brenda has a baby change) I can name at least 10 more raps like that. oh he did grow listening to pac @Dee 1 just loss all Credibility on hip hop in my opinion 🤔🤦🏾♂️🤷🏾
Tupac definitely wasn't evolving when he was on Death Row and randomly assaulting people.
I’m sorry but nas or Lupe can’t hold pac shoes
Bob Marley and the Wailers are the greatest musicians ever! Number 1
1. Guru (Gangstarr)
2. Nas
3. Andre 3000

5. Common
This dude is a 🤡 Nobody want to hear that preaching bruh 🙄🤦♂️
He f up now , just the I'll never watch this , Nas ok but fiasco, foh, I was liking dee1 till the title, dude just go be a pastor, 2pac didn't evolve , this mf lost me now ,
I definitely understand & respect how he feels about rap music.
This man said Lupe fiasco 😂😂😂😂😂
To each it's own, Lupe is not my cup of tea. I don't understand the hype with him. He's averaged lyrically. Feel like I'm listening to Dr. Sesus listening to him rhyme lol
It's hard being a Lupe fan, go to Harvard to be a lupe Stan. Like dude above said, he isn't for everyone, however Nas said the ONLY rapper that reminds him of himself is Lupe. That tells you all you need to know about Lupe. Real hip hop cats know about Lupe's greatness.
@@BJonesReactz1 Ssssshhhhhhh 😴
I'm not mad at what he's saying. But this is not how you judge music. The art should speak for itself. Whether its negative or positive.
How hes talking ,this guy is on his way to being a GOAT!!
Nas & 2Pac are the greatest.
Tupac was the greatest wannabe masculine man😅
Pac was also a very conscious rapper
Nas & Lupe Fiasco is also in my top 5. Always been my favorite rappers.
2 pac Evolved then devolved
I disagree , I more so look at like a journey. PAC became more spiritual later in his music..he was just going through his ups & downs and was being honest.
continuous evolution and devolution. The true blessing lies in living long enough to acquire knowledge, understanding, and the ability to correct your mistakes, ultimately preventing and overcoming recurring failures.
Pac ain't mad at ya. Lupe will forever be one of if not is my favorite rapper though.💯
Nas is more of a Martin Luther King and PAC is more of a Malcolm X so I get it..Pac not just gonna talk about it, he’s more with actions
Pac evolved no album sounds the same
I nvr heard none of Bro’s music. However, I’ve been dig’N these snippets. Of the few Seg’s I’ve watched. This 1 compelled a response as he clearly shows his age.
“I grew up on Hot Boys…”, “PAC didn’t get a chance…”. Some1 @Dee-1 2paca lypsev Now”. PAC changed lanes to capitalize on the Game. If you know u know ☝🏿
Nas is the 🐐 of lyrically wordplay IDGAF
I believe the Rapper Common should most definitely make you're top 5. 💯🎙🎤
Nas my GOAT. Since I was 14 when Illmatic dropped
We need another conscious rapper from the south.
This guy is bonkers. He picks Nas but said Pac didn’t evolve? Huh? Lol
Lupe been number 1. My favorite and now my oldest daughters favorite
That’s cap Tupac did 5 or 6 movies he had timeless music for when he died nobody around that time was in the movie scene especially as a rapper he go more done than the average person still today nobody has put out what he has please don’t disrespect his work like that
You got itchy typing fingers, you completely missed the point he was addressing about EVOLVING.
Most of those movies are garbage and his music is not timeless knock it off 😅
The average person is the reason why them records and movies sold. Without fans the artist don’t get paid goofy.
@@G3O.On3 you apparently did he was evolving in the end
@@leonknight558 ok and what’s your point talm bout the average person bitch please

Pac did evolve he went from revolutionary/ conscious to “gangsta” and on his way back to consciousness
It wasn’t gangsta it was “thug life” I wonder if he did it to reach those folks more than anything. Because almost everything he made after all eyez on me was super conscious
@@FRANKIBABI__Bloods killed that whole neighborhood lol

@@Fuq2Here you are proving Dee-1’s point about 2Pac not evolving consciously and maturely! Setting up a gang war between black people!
@@FRANKIBABI__ it was part of the plan 😭 you really think he dead oh my. You don’t listen to his music. Man dang near confessed to faking his death word for word in his music
@@FRANKIBABI__ homeboy made a reference to day biggie got murdered in my closest roaddogz (mentioning the burning bed was the telling sign ) that’s a date of march 9
When he said "jay-z has evolved" he talking about the 4:44 album where he talked about his shortcomings and started to educate folks about financial literacy, by then he stopped making the type of music he used to make which showed growth and maturity, if you can't understand where's he coming from then you're slow and need to catch up, no matter which way you slice it
I’d like to believe while Pac was the true manifestation of the duality of many young black men, he’s remembered more for his revolutionary mindset and consciousness. Being born years after pac died, the image I was presented with was one of a mind wise beyond his years.
This interview is one of the most powerful I've seen in a long time. I personally think religion itself is a ridiculous human construct but dudes message still holds true in the objective viewpoint of constructive behavior vs destructive behavior.

Jay never been nobody I look to for musical guidance. Hov just be rapping to rap. Only people that don’t read thinks he’s some intellectual leader 😂
I agree bro. I've always said the same thing.
Nas in a league of his own 🐐

You are delusional😂😂😂
Even Prodigy evolved.
He is talking about denouncing. Pac didnt get the chance to mature and have that opportunity. But either way, nobody went through the struggle 2pac did. From police, to enemies while recording and performing at a top level should only give you a glimpse of the position pac would hold today. Easy for any pac fan to say that. But we know where his heart really was before all the beefs and drama. If he was ever able to get past those issues, he really could have done much more not only as a artist but so much for others in not only music industry but acting and politically as well in some form. He could have essily gone into fashion and worked with designers. He carried so much power behind him. There will never be another Pac. Big up! 🙏
