First I will get my controls re-mapped back to where they should be. Second I will fiddle with settings to try and find the sweet spot of quality vs frame rate. Then I will get started on career mode.
First thing I'm doing is checking out my home & home town + the country's airport. Then, gonna hop in the A330-300 during rain and test the wiper effects and the A330 it self and do a short hop to test physics & ground handling. Also visuals will be looked at a lot to compare with FS2020. I'm very excited for this 😄, can't wait to finally have a decent A330. LVFR and Aerosoft are jokes.
probably going to check out default airports. One of my biggest grievences with msfs20 are the default airports (not including hand crafted ones). this is one of the main reasons i spend more time in xplane.
I'm most looking forward to bush flying and the new ground details. The harsh pop-in of the new grass and crop types visible in the first minute of the video looks daunting though...If I approach a green field and just moments before touchdown the corn plants start to pop in, that would take all the fun away from this (in theory amazing) new feature.
Yep - I found loading into a new area - coupled with fairly slow internet - the first time you fly somewhere it has a little pop in - but the next time I flew there - it was flawless
Do the flight lessons now work with force feedback yokes? Also, can I naturally push buttons and turn knobs with my hands in VR yet without beams shooting out?
The 2020 stuff should work fine. Based on what 2020 was like at day 1 - there was a lot of small bugs/issues - some of those are still there to this day. But, as this is built on top of 2020 - Im hoping the "old" bugs dont appear

Default aircraft really look to be much improved from 2020. I hope it's to the point they're usable in the career mode, from a simmer's perspective. If not then we simmers won't be able to enjoy the new career mode and will have to use good 3rd party planes.
Straight to career mode at my local airport, I assume that as you progress you can change your home airport, this way I already know the local landmarks.
Speaking as someone who played off and on since FSX in 2006 I would say it is not 100% needed but I found it much easier to control the planes with even a simple one rather than a controller or mouse and keyboard
First thing I will do is wait a few months before I will consider buying it. By then there should be plenty of reviews, 3rd party addons, way less bugs and who knows even a sale.
I will use all the helicopters since I wil go for the Deluxe edition And then use the SkyCrane to lift in the Career that is possible MSFS 2024 is a big step up And still there are assid speakers that will find negative points and scream about it. I have high hopes for "Walk Around" capability or "Digital Tourist" mode. Why ? Because for the past 8 years I have used Google Earth VR (and an Oculus Rift) a lot to explore the world. I especially like to visit the European Alps. People do not realize how much the Europeans have capitalized on that asset with lifts, trails, and restaurants. There are over 25,000 ski lifts alone wandering through these marvelous places. And Google has captured many of them in 3D photogrammetry. This could potentially be so much better in MSFS2024. Start with a trip up to the top of Mt. Snowdon on their cog wheel train. And most all of Switzerland. I now also have a Pimax Crystal and a 4090.. Wow !
So Seb told me a default key bind will transfer. Then a dev stream said it wont. I think we may plan to re bind everything. If we dont need to - then that will be a bonus. Have the kettle on either way mate

Check out AI traffic, hopefully based on real world air traffic and if not the use an add on air traffic program, (come on get it right). Then explore seasons....have they improved on 2020?????😮
What will I do first? See if there is a decent preset profile for my Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog controls. BTW, I don't know what will make me happier, getting past November 5th and ending all the campaign pop up ads, or getting to the November 19th release date.
I'm definitely going to explore new photogrammetry areas in something slow like thr CAS J3 or a glider. Grand Canyon is supposed to look great. I also want to try out sea planes since the low level details are supposed to be more detailed. Maybe I'll try visiting some of the national parks in the US i have visited and compare to my photos
I will be waiting till majority of the bugs are fixed before purchasing the sim. And make sure my good old gtx 1070 could run it at a acceptable rate or, as I cant afford new rid yet so would probably wait till Ms 2028 comes out
This has been in every single video. Every RUclipsr has stated it's due to the extremely poor network from the amount of usage during the press event while multiple people were using it. You need to remember, these aren't on their personal device. I'd assume it's common sense by now.
Well spotted. A few stutters here and there - but all caused with menus or loading into a new region. The internet wasnt great on site - but the second time flying in the same location - it was fine. Also so stutters when just flying, it was incredibly smooth
The first thing I will do is to try crosswind takeoffs and landings to see if it's finally realistic. This is what is lacking so much in MSFS2020 to me. The aircrafts don't behave as they should in MSFS2020. I hope the 2024 version fixes this.

I have one burning question! are you able to disembark your aircraft "while in free-flight mode?". Or is that just a career mode feature?
You will be free to leave the plane in and out in Free flight. But you will not be able to use some of the features from career mode
@@BadGuyJohnnylike what?
Yes you can - depending on the aircraft (2024 default should all be fine). Some aircraft have doors to open etc
@@EmeryE2 You wont be able to hoist cable from the IH125 for example atleast what i heard from the devs
First thing I'll do is go and read the inevitable fall out on the forums and continue to play MSFS 2020 for about another year happy as Larry.
Imagine if they put maintenance mechanics in the game. Actually doing maintenace. Change an engine, a tire, oil, control surface...
Career Mode focused on the rotary side of things and Virtual Tourism. Need to fly that H225 now!!!
I can't wait to try that chopper. It looks incredible
@@twotonemurphy right!!! That an heli crop dusting. 1000ft an below is the best kind of flying
@@IFR_HeliToursVR aw man! We need this now 😂
@@twotonemurphy it's too much to hope for but being able to modify the heli's would be nice. Like buy an md500 in game and strap crop dusting gear to it etc, having to pay attention to weights etc. DCS always gets me with that when my overweight huey goes into VRS cause I'm trying to hover at 30% power lmao
Does the cockpit look much darker now / hard to see ? I've noticed that on a few clips I've seen.
I think they are the same. Shadows are way better
Did you forget the landing and low flying challenges? And didn't Jorg say the things he's most excited about are the things they didn't have time to tell us about yet? So who knows, but it's going to be fun finding out.
I listed the activities on my other video - but very excited for them too. They still havent told us everything!
Let's hope it's at least on the same level of A300-600. Fingers crossed.
Cant wait to try the iniBuilds A330
probably going to check out default airports.
@outermarker That is my plan too, pick a random spots to land with a bush plane, and explore the ground details! 🙂
So when is the alpha beta coming?
This month. Date not yet announced but described as "one weekend in October"
Do the flight lessons now work with force feedback yokes? Also, can I naturally push buttons and turn knobs with my hands in VR yet without beams shooting out?
We didnt have FFB yokes at the event - but I cant see why they wouldnt. Again with VR only the headset was there. Be great if that issue is sorted
First thing I’ll do is wait maybe a year for them to sort out bugs and to get decent aircraft into the sim.
The 2020 stuff should work fine. Based on what 2020 was like at day 1 - there was a lot of small bugs/issues - some of those are still there to this day. But, as this is built on top of 2020 - Im hoping the "old" bugs dont appear
When you say get decent aircraft into the sim, what do you mean by that? Because there are 45 new aircraft built by high quality 3rd party addon devs.
@@EmeryE2 We’ll see….
@@dmajestic80 what do you mean “we’ll see”? It’s literally been proven that 3rd party devs are working on aircraft so asobo could focus on the sims core.
@@EmeryE2 We’ll see
The first thing I will do is wait a couple of months after release to buy the sim (if I ever do). MSFS2020 is in a perfect condition for me.
Can we swap aircraft mid flight?
Only if you are a wing walker. 😊
I didnt see it - however, the speed of exiting a flight back to the main menu - then start a new flight takes seconds
@@twotonemurphy yeah your right, Im in the Alpha now too, I can live with this way :)
I wonder if the NEW Flight Sim will show all the junk in my backyard😜
Obviously flight from my local airport - Liverpool, to fly over my house. But then first ‘proper’ flight will be the C17 from Brize Norton, route through the Mach Loop and then land out at RAF Valley!
Ohh thats gonna be awesome
Default aircraft really look to be much improved from 2020. I hope it's to the point they're usable in the career mode, from a simmer's perspective. If not then we simmers won't be able to enjoy the new career mode and will have to use good 3rd party planes.
Each of the new default 2024 aircraft have better systems and avionics. Plus they can take advantage of the new flight physics
RTX 4060 Ti well work on MSFS 2024 ?
Yes indeed!
you can test it out via gamepass for one month if in doubt, but it should work okish, not on max details ofcourse.
I will of course fly over my house with the dreamlifter XD
The trees are still 150% size, like they have been for the last almost 30 years in MSFS. Why can’t they fix such a simple thing?
Straight to career mode at my local airport, I assume that as you progress you can change your home airport, this way I already know the local landmarks.
I personally can't wait for this game to come out. I will be playing it a bunch for sure
I'll check if finally, the single power lever of the Cirrus is implemented 😊
Definitely test the Vulcan around farm borough with the improved graphics and flight model
I never play this game, but im thinking to start playing it. Any recommendations? Or do I need flight controllers to play this game?
Speaking as someone who played off and on since FSX in 2006 I would say it is not 100% needed but I found it much easier to control the planes with even a simple one rather than a controller or mouse and keyboard
First thing I will do is wait a few months before I will consider buying it. By then there should be plenty of reviews, 3rd party addons, way less bugs and who knows even a sale.
I will use all the helicopters since I wil go for the Deluxe edition
And then use the SkyCrane to lift in the Career that is possible
MSFS 2024 is a big step up
And still there are assid speakers that will find negative points and scream about it.
I started with Flightsimulator 3.0 (revealing my age) and I am jaw dropping about the progress Flightsimulation have made in de past 5 years.
I am now only VR flying and get lost in the air every time I use my simulator
Would be nice if you had the option to carry over your 2020 log book to 2024
I'm going to check the landing gear suspension of an A320 and a B737 when landing. Will I feel the weight of these jets (like X-Plane) or that of a paper airplane (like FSX)?
With the heavily improved physics, I wouldn’t doubt they will feel much better.
Another top video two tone, I’m hoping that A2A,s Piper Comanche is going to be compatible from day 1, imagine the updated game physics whilst flying the piper? Not pre ordered MSFS 2024 yet .. I’m hoping for a stable release at least 👍🏻
@@Adger1971 shouldn't matter at all cause it all externally done anyway with a2a. But I hope it's updated quickly to take advantage of 2024's new/improved features
Probably the first thing I’ll do is look to improving my internet connection due to the asset streaming thingy they’ve been talking about.
The same thing as with MSFS 2020: Fly over my house. Maybe even land in the yard with a helicopter and check out the details.
Wait for it to finish updating 😂
The speed was insane - and updates will work differently now - no more downloading world updates - they do that on the cloud side. Sim Updates might be different
@@twotonemurphy but with say 5 million people downloading at launch day I’ll put money on it being slow. Not 2020 launch slow but slower.
My first flight is straight for a Long haul! DUB-JFK with the A333
CTP for the win!
Wow !
That will be amazing
First flight with A2A Comanche, just flying off over Ireland.
First thing will be configuring our hardware again. Unless it imports from 2024?
So Seb told me a default key bind will transfer. Then a dev stream said it wont. I think we may plan to re bind everything. If we dont need to - then that will be a bonus. Have the kettle on either way mate
Taking the Draco and taking off at a near private air strip by my place and fly over my home and around the area. Then probably go check out Trent Palmers pad and pretend I'm flying with him 😂
The Draco is nuts! Great fun
I just hope that it works as well as 2020 does in VR on my current hardware. Anything else will be gravy.
I tried it in VR with a Pimax Crystal - it was glorious
I expect road signs and an ability to drive roads in a car anywhere in the future.
First load up pmdg 737 fly a simbrief flight plan with ATC (pilot2atc) and GSX PRO, check out flight dynamics. Check out AI traffic, hopefully based on real world air traffic and if not the use an add on air traffic program, (come on get it right). Then explore seasons....have they improved on 2020?????😮
Free flight form MSFS 2020 is too?
Yep
What will I do first? See if there is a decent preset profile for my Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog controls. BTW, I don't know what will make me happier, getting past November 5th and ending all the campaign pop up ads, or getting to the November 19th release date.
From what I heard - folks should be able to share profiles - the hardware guys too
Really hoping the return flyby and tower view to this one
Will certainly be the first thing I do if so
Are there any informations on aircraft carriers in free flight or career mode?
No mention at all about carriers. Plenty of ships, oil rigs, helipads - but nothing on Carriers. I imagine this will be a job for the 3rd party devs
@@twotonemurphy wasted potential
@@juh503 who knows, maybe a dlc later on - but who knows
What everyone will do, fly over my house xD
I'm definitely going to explore new photogrammetry areas in something slow like thr CAS J3 or a glider. Grand Canyon is supposed to look great. I also want to try out sea planes since the low level details are supposed to be more detailed. Maybe I'll try visiting some of the national parks in the US i have visited and compare to my photos
The Canyon is incredible - spent a good bit of time flying around it and it was just amazing
The first thing for me, will be finding my house and then a 737 flight, after!
Will be getting stuck into the career mode, it will feed my RPG addiction nicely.
I will be waiting till majority of the bugs are fixed before purchasing the sim. And make sure my good old gtx 1070 could run it at a acceptable rate or, as I cant afford new rid yet so would probably wait till Ms 2028 comes out
Fantastic breakdown and the footage is absolutely breathtaking! Take care bud.
Thanks so much mate
The first thing I'll do will be to try to download it in the same time of thousands of new customers. That will be a big pain imho.
Free flight to see if the pesky ground handling issues and weather-vanning on the ground has been improved. It does look and sound great.
PLZ give me your pc GB RAM/ i core/RTX
We got to try the sim on what I think was a 4070 and i9
“Better performance “ -> 3:00 a stutter with a 172 in the middle of nowhere. I dont know what to expect from fs24.
The stutter was because he opened a menu. I will not fault that.
I have to say the physics felt way better - took the 172 around the Grand Canyon when trying 2024 and I was very impressed
@@twotonemurphy thanks a lot for your feedback. It's encouraging that they improved that. It's great to have a lot of fancy features and wonderful graphics but if the essentials are too much forgotten it's upsetting.
Great newes !
Thanks for your videos !
I hope my 3080ti and 12700k will make the job
Thanks for this video !
I see one of my pet peeves... big old tree right at the end of small airport runway.
The first thing I’ll do is fly a scenic flight on the west coastline near my house
Im going to recreate the first flight i did in the PC24 earlier this year. KPSM-KPHL.
ohhh sounds nice!
Did they manage to figure out a way to rid the world of all the seems and clouds found in much of the satellite imagery? Or at least mitigate it to a degree where it doesnt destroy immersion?
I don't think so mate. Its gonna be on us to report this to them
First thing I intend to do is jump into the hot air balloon, or airship (blimp). Thanks for the video. :)
That will be class!
I'll land on all the islands in the north sea near the German and Dutch coast with the Norden. Really hope they have Helgoland figured out with it's unique rock formations.
Sounds like an awesome flight mate
I'll fly a route in the default 172 in 2020, then do the same route in the default 172 in 2024
