God, she was beautiful! And had a lovely voice! I always looked at her mainly when I’d see the Supremes singing! She stood out to me with her beauty! But she was always playing second fiddle as a background vocal singer to Diana Ross. So she and Flo never emerged from her shadow ultimately. I always had a thing for Wilson! Sadly, she’s passed on now and I never got to express my feelings for her to her in person. I’m sad about that and her passing recently. 😢 I feel the same way about the late Natalie Cole. Also, beautiful and talented! Oh Well, maybe in the next life! Bye, Sweet Ladies! RIP 👏🏻💐
Drugs got them both. If you're a drug pusher, I'm sure your could've done them both, probably 2 for 1!! Well, in the afterlife, if you're heading downstairs like them, maybe you can get hot all together .

mary was the sexy one, and she didnt even need to try. so pretty and she had the moves. florence was also very beautiful, they both deserved more than they got at motown
No need to insult Diana to uplift Mary. Mary and Diana had beautiful voices in the 80s. The Original Supremes are The Supremes because the formula of Diana on lead, worked. Also, Mary and Diana along with Flo loved each other.
@@nickdillon1096what do you think other people do to other women in the music business from that time? They tear them down to uplift diana Mary including
I one hundred per cent agree, her voice is richer and more powerful, and Diana's is just more commercial sounding. Would have love to have seen Motown put the same machine behind Mary that they did Diana, there's no telling how far she would have gotten
These women simple had different sounding voices. I am sure if Mary's voice was as versatile as Diana Ross, or Florence as well, perhaps things would have worked or turned out differently. Perhaps Mary's vocals would have worked in a different genre! It isnt a pop voice. Another thing to look at, it was reported that she tried for the lead position of the Supremes. Isn't it instructive that she never got the position. Also! Just because someone can carry a tone doesn't mean that they could be a great singer. Mary's sound was ordinary. It wasnt unique. It was a lovely voice, but I didn't feel particularly excited about it. Perhaps she would have made a good nightclub or cabaraet singer...
You don't know music! Diana Ross has one of the most versatile singing voices around...POP, R&B, Adult Contemporary, Jazz, Country & Western, and Gospel. Listen to Mary's enunciation, and diction of her words/vocals. They aren't as clear and smooth as Diana's!
@thegreatest08ify Her Lady Sings The Blues Album. Billboard #1. Her Blue Album Album released 2006. It reached #2 on the Billboard Jazz Charts. This album was originally recorded in 1972... That was 34 years later. Your opinion lacks credibility.
@strausd02 I think when you listen to Mary s voice I hear night club singer. Mary wad very successful on being just that type of singer. There is nothing wrong with that. The vast majority of singers would never have the career she did. The whole world does not revolve around record sales. Personally I think Mary was happy with what she did. She had money and great success in her life.
"Pick up the Pieces" was a beautiful ballard from Miss Wilson. It could've been a hit for Mary had it been properly promoted.
We ❤ and miss you Mary!
You can say that again.👌🏾
Miss Mary Wilson incredible
That whole album is good
I 💕 the way Mary's voice sounds. A true artist. The most beautiful woman ever. Mary can sing anything* you go girl lol..
Beautiful song and voice.
She was so pretty, especilaly in this appearance. She could sing very nicely, no doubt.
Mary was a beautiful person.

Beautiful simply, beautiful!!!
Her voice was somewhat sultry in nature. Her tones were a bit dusky but a great voice. RIP Mary, 5:40 go meet Florence Ballard. Supreme faith.
gorgeous woman
It's a great album.
She sounds great on this UK single.
Love Mary 4 Ever
Her voice is richer than Diana’s who sounded like she was singing thru a tin can !

What's with the Diana Ross and The Supremes. The Supremes, in that order Mary Wilson, in her own right. Enough shadowing.

Nothing versatile about Diana's voice. She was strictly pop and you don't need the strongest vocals for that. Re: Britney Spears.
