Amazing shots and work, as always Gord! ALthough it's sad to see an 80 years old path has to be renewed, I'm sure your new path will be around for even longer 😁😁😁
Yes, it snowed, but here in Victoria, it does not stay for long! I love filming in timelapse, it's so satisfying! Thanks for watching and thanks for your compliment!
Wow... looks super high quality! Edit: I am considering coloring my 5 cheapy concrete lanterns (they're too bright and stand out too much in the garden). Is concrete stain the best and most durable method? I am thinking a charcoal color, maybe even black.
I have never tried concrete stain, but I have seen a Japanese gardener make a lantern from various pieces of concrete and other materials, and he just painted the whole thing with a spray paint that has a granite looking finish. It ended up kind of looking like real granite. The channel I saw this is called Kanai Style. The video was from later last year.
Another beautiful job. You’re a fine craftsman.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the compliment!😊
wow 80years old, this walk way has so many story tell but new one has to come
Yeah, too bad I smashed it into a million pieces! 😆 That's quite a story to tell!😆
@@gordchapman3469 hahaha
Wow great restoration!
Thanks for watching!
Very nice walk, keep it up. 👍😉
Looks great!!!

Yes, pavers should last forever because you can make repairs over time!
@@gordchapman3469 And it's rather physically flexible (?) compared to cement I guess
@@FlexxenRandomPlaces yes, that's right.
Nice video Gord, Keep it up brother!
Thanks for watching! Safe travels!
It's snowing.
It's a very good approach. Now that I know the time lapse, I would like to shoot that way.

Awesome!
Thanks!
Did you make any cuts on the outside where it curves? Or can you lay out pavers (or bricks) without cutting on curves?
No cuts to make the curve, just slightly offset the bricks a bit to create the curve
Approximately how much would something like that cost?
Are those standard bricks, and what size gravel and sand do you recommend.
?
Those are Old Country Stone pavers, and I use road base gravel and a fairly fine sand.
Wow... looks super high quality!

The video on Kanai Style channel is from 10 months ago, it's called, "Making a Japanese lantern with things to throw away". Check it out!
@@gordchapman3469 Ah, yes! I've been subbed to his channel from when he started it. I remember that episode. Thanks!
It snowed a lot in the middle of your project. I want to try to make a walkway myself, but it definitely won't be as clean as what you did here.
Yeah, we've been having some interesting weather here! Thanks for watching;
Looks great Gord! What software do you use to edit your videos?
I use a free app on my phone called VLLO.
Great job. However, more narration and less music would help much more.
