For floor mats, the Lasfit mats are amazing and definitely worth a look. They fit a bit better and cover even more than the muddy buddies.
Well, I can't compare the two but the Lasfit in my 2023 ID.4 are excellent!

Thanks Bob! I am from Maine and visited the dealership August 7 after watching one of your RUclips programs. You were not in at the time but I had the pleasure of working with Alex. I really appreciate your passion and knowledge on everything EV. I am excited about the combination of off grid solar and EVs. I am off grid and hope to be able to get an ID4 very soon. I am working on packaging the combination and demystifying the process at the local community level.
Thanks for this, we’ve been WeatherTech adherents for quite a while and it’s the first accessory I priced out when I started leaning ID.4. I found it especially interesting about the hitch. I do want to go an AWD model specifically for the bike rack hitch and didn’t realize it was a 1.5”. Glad to know it’s an easy swap out.
Hey Bob awesome tip for the trailer hitch. We have a Thule rack that has either 1 1/4 or 2 inch hitch. Will definitely need to get the adapter you mentioned. Appreciate your videos still waiting for my ID.4 in Canada.

Hi Bob: I installed the 2" hitch (Actually before I found your videos) I think people would like to know how to defeat the auto-braking when they have their bike rack installed. I found an adapter to attach to the electrical trailer hookup.
Bob, after much searching, reading and watching all the channels I could find, I bought an iD4 Saturday. I obsoletely LOVE this thing. I've put 300 miles on it in the first 24 hours. I have a short list of questions I was hoping you could answer but don't see a link to send. I was hoping as a brand new owner while I'm still learning that it might make good content for you to consider for another 10 list for the newbies. One thing that is perplexing is in the forward 'cup holder' there is an icon etched in the plastic of a key and some waves around it. What is that for?
Hi Bob. Really interesting about the trailer hitch. good point. I'm a little surprised that no mention of mud flaps. Im a big proponent myself, but I have always ben a proponent of these no matter what car I have had. Ive always lived in Northern climates. I think they do a lot to save the side panels during the winter in ice, snow, mud water, gravel, etc. VW does offer them.
I installed the VW OE mudflats. Very good fit and well made (as they should be), Instructions are a bit vague but work. Be careful not to mix up the front and rear hardware packs, they are different. Happy with mine.

Just use the 22. Ben, my parts guy, says there is no problem with this. We have put them on a number of 23s.
The first thing I did was replace the trailer hitch receiver with the 2" version. Very easy to install, but I couldn't find torque specs for the bolts. If you know the proper torque for those four bolts, I'd love to know!
45lbs. Lots lower than I expected, but that's what Curt says.
I got the 3d Max from autoanything for my ID.4. Mats are nice but cargo liner isn't very good. Will be sending the liner back for an exchange.

Does that rear seat cover have holes so you can attach a baby/child seat to the anchors?
Yes! That is the latch system.
I couldn’t imagine putting that cover on the backseat, I want to enjoy the car I bought not save it for the next owner.
Two words…resale value. However, if a person keeps their car for ten years, it does not matter. Enjoy your car!
Good idea but if you buy one that you didn’t order it will get shoved down your throat. Dealer isn’t going to “take it off” the sticker.
VW dealers are in a more accommodating mode these days. You might be surprised, but many are more willing to accommodate your requests. Furthermore, people are now ordering cars directly from the dealership. You have some choices in this situation. Thanks for watching the channel and sharing your thoughts.
