Yes, astrophotography is quite a rewarding. In the morning around 4 to 5:30 the winter constellations are in good view. Orion is fascinating to photograph Try to the sword to see if you can get a short exposure of the Orion Nebula. This morning through my telescope, Jupiter was astounding, and the moon was, as always, interesting to photograph. I notice that lots of satellites can be seen too. Keep up the nighttime sky photos.
Great video! The neighbors were awful! The Lakes around here are wild...not very good access to them. Loved the cute Otters and Squirrels. I live in B.C. Canada, Hope you enjoy your trip.

Happened upon your video here after it randomly popped up in my feed, and I really enjoyed your first-person Killarney hike video as the first-person perspective made it feel like I was doing the hike myself🙂. I am an avid car/frontcountry camper with high hopes of eventually making my way into the Algonquin backcountry one day, so your first person vids definitely show what it would be like to backpack camp. Please don't make fun, but my only real snag is an almost OCD-love of being clean before bed, hence I do love my pre-bedtime rinse off showers at the comfort station 😆🤭. It is the one thing I will need to work on to be comfy in the backcountry, but the solitude and serenity is what I desire most and find so much peace in ❤. Sorry, I have my mother's gift of gab 😆. Looking forward to watching more videos, and hope you enjoy your time out on the trails!!!! 🙂.

I think I am off to a good start as I am definitely a minimalist car camper for sure and can fit all my gear into the trunk or back seat of my 1999 Camry easily😁. I also much prefer and quite enjoy freeze-dried meals with minimal dishes to clean, but I do need to find ways to be comfy with reducing my current gear lineup to an amount that can fit into my big 100L British military rucksack🤣. I have also come up with a plan to try and practice backpack camping at a Provincial Park. Essentially, I would park my vehicle at the main lot for the Park, let the staff know my plans and then "hike" to my site with everything that can fit into my pack and live out of it for the duration of the trip. I would refrain from using the showers and the comfort stations and instead just use vault toilets when nature calls😆. That way it will give me a bit of a feel for backpacking and if I am okay with it, I will take it up a notch and do the paddle-in sites at Canisbay a real backcountry sites experience with the option to back out/use amenities if needed since they're only a paddle away on the Lake 😀.

This is my worst nightmare when camping front or back country!! But… I winter camp at least 1-2 times per month and never a sound! It helps when my son and I are only people camping, almost every winter camp 😅lol love winter camping!
As a loud young man, at least close to Young, i always try to get as far away from as many people as I can so I can be loud without doing so at others expense. Unfortunately there aren't many places to this anymore. Or at least it feels like you can't get far enough away to ensure you aren't intrusive on people's peace.
Algonquin is a HUGE park so it's unfortunate to have that many campsites on a small lake. That doesn't excuse the thoughtless neighbours but I think maybe make 2 sites for booking and 1 for emergency purposes only. LOL, I hope you don't mind but I had a little chuckle when you mentioned "eels"-- but the last laugh was on me because I initially thought they were beavers. SMH. Thx for bringing us along 🙂

The volume needs to be louder; I had my volume at max to hear you at times. I admire your taking trips, like this one to Ramona Lake. A peaceful adventure except for the loser, clown, inconsiderate, neighbors camping by (they are the ones who should have left the whiskey at home and worked on the hot chocolate). For your own safety, maybe you should carry pepper spray unless you are an MMA expert. Right on being in the forest rather than in the midst of the hustle and bustle of the city (where lots of loud people and machines reside!). Misplaced or pilfered headlamp? Great Scot, you take whiskey with you? Please don't boat when three sheets to the wind. Finally, excellent photos of the stars (Pleiades, etc.). I do some astrophotography with my telescope for the most part. When there next time schedule the camping during a meteor shower to watch in the night (hopefully without a cacophony from nearby campers. LOL). Thanks again for the experience at Ramona. I do carry bear spray and coyote spray with me. I never drink so much as to be “three sheets to the wind” and when I do have some whiskey, it’s at night, by the campfire, before bed. He would have joined in the fun, experienced what they were experiencing but then also use that opportunity to teach them proper etiquette in the process. Maybe there is something there you could learn from them but also they could learn from you. (Proper etiquette).
