You guys are such an inspiration! When you are done, I would love to hear a comparison of the PCT vs AT from a Codger's point of view. Being 64 and recently retired, I am contemplating a 2024 thru hike. Love to hear your perspective.
Had a beautiful day looks like. Wishing you a great next day and zero time in snoqualmie which I’m sure you had. Look forward to your further adventures. Happy trails to you
Looks like all's well in Codger land. Loved the Codger signature in the dirt. Great idea. Very nice mountain views and nice meeting up with Birthday Pat. Hope you all enjoyed your time at the lodge. Happy Trails!
They already did the heart of the Sierra from Kennedy Meadows South to Bishop Pass over all the snow, then they flipped up to Northern California, I believe it was Etna or Chester, somewhere around there, so they only need to come back and do from Bishop Pass to somewhere past Lake Tahoe.
How many years does one need to be in order to be considered a codger? I was out for a 3 day hike this weekend, and let me tell you, I was making some very definite "codger" sounds going up and down rock scrambles 😂 I just had my 56th birthday last week. Am I close? I know the word typically is used for the male of the species, but I think I'd rather be called codger than "old hag" or somesuch . Although "old biddy" works too I suppose 😉
Who on earth was Pat? Did he just wander by, or was there some traffic by your campsite, and he pulled up for a chat? Do tell!! Still gripped by your adventures., thanks codgers
WA state. It's not green for no reason. Stay dry. Snoqualmie pass has a ton of food options on the weekend. North Bend really isnt that far away it's the closest town west of the pass. I 90 is probably the largest busiest highway you will cross on the PCT. Your hike out up the kendal Katwalk is pretty steep. The Kendal Katwalk has some good views and a nice ledge. You guys should go to Stehekin. As a local of WA state it's not a place most locals have gone too. Go. Enjoy. Can you please please video your walk from the northern terminus to the point of first contact with a candian official or person? I would love to see what its like when u enter Canada
Ahead of schedule, that's great! So nice of Mountain Goat to give a nice handmade card to the gentleman on his birthday!
Thanks for sharing. You both just rock the trail. Hazel says right up with you both.
A great story from Pat. Try t never miss one of your episodes. You fellas are an inspiration for all of us " weathered hikers".

You keep knocking it out of the park. Great videos.
“Starting in Mexico and ending in heaven” is definitely an acceptable conclusion to the hike!
No Filter reminds me of Papa Smurf!
Life is just wonderful with the codgers..Watching your update just made my day. Keep pushing happy trails

Funny how the images of the trail get burned into one’s brain. I camped at the same spot on that dirt road in ‘19. 🍻
👍👍
Big Pat needs a channel.
Hope they are able to get back to California in time to hike the Sierra. Looks like Washington will be done by mid-September.

😄 I know! Looks like he was also camping there.
He was car camping with family, they drove in, he's not a PCT hiker.
Chocolate milk shots... not enough happy trails
Good video guys 😊are you going back to the trail you skipped because of snow 🤔😀
Where’s Hazel? I must have missed something.
She is there. Hiking at a different pace. She is at the end of the video.
Is there water near your campsite?
Almost always; they try to camp near water. ms. r
