I'm finishing up the first wave of hikers I'm watching this season and I have to say watching your videos towards the end is an absolute breath of fresh air. Alot were obvious tired, some cranky as all get out. but your videos have stayed consistent in just truly enjoying the experience.

A hamstring /knee injury has me off the trail again in North Woodstock, NH. I might not be able to make it back in time to finish.
You were wise to do the AT at your age. I'm 70 and have a lifetime of old injuries plaguing me with all of this walking. Keep on keeping on! 💪👊✌️

Spruce Grouse have no natural enemies because they taste so bad. They eat Spruce needles and taste like Spruce. I had two of them walk into my canoe camp in Canada and walk right up to me, literally a foot away and walk past me and laid down between my girlfriend and I to warm by the fire.
I am so glad you slowed down! The last 3 weeks on the trail is such a nice time to "take it all in" and realize what you have done, what you have accomplished and to just spend time together. It's nice climbing Katahdin knowing that it is time and you left nothing on the table.

Another great adventure week! Im sure going to miss this journey. I've followed you the whole way and started a week behind you. However, I blew my right knee out on the trail. Stay strong and happy trails to you and the tramily. Soak up these last few days! What a "Sonic Bloom" this has been.
Have loved following your journey and I agree with the slowing down and soaking up the trail. Once it ends, it ends. Home sweet home will always be waiting, and after the first 2 days at home sweet home, with all the luxuries, you will Wish you were back in the woods.
So glad you took your time. Once in a lifetime adventure.

Every now and then I remember to step back and think about what you're really doing ... "today isn't too hard, we're just climbing two mountains" ... lol ... half of what you're doing in one day would be a real challenge for me and I'd need a week to recover. The fitness y'all have by Maine is impressive!

It’s worked great!! She’s not the most compact, but that’s worked just fine for me. It’s a great pack for a lightweight setup.
