    Must be nice to have an extra set of hands! When covering alone it can be a bit more challenging. Love the product.

    Did you take the covering off before you cut it!? People will try to iron it on without removing the covering.

    Very Nice Video! - The full scale General Aviation Oratex6000 sold exclusively by BetterAircraftFabric works very different from the RC Model aircraft Product. - Thanks for posting that this is the RC Version and Thus Not usable or intended or approved for any full-scale applications...Not even Experimentals. Best Regards from Alaska!

    Are we going to see a 1/6th Fokker DR1 release?!!!!! That certainly looked like a bottom wing to the tripe. : )

  • @sideshowbob5237
    @sideshowbob5237 4 года назад +4

    The easiest and safest way to trim the second side is to use sharp scissors - which can be pushed along like a blade but with zero chance of cutting the first side skin.

    You did a beautiful job there. Especially on the scallops. Can you tell me what colour (OK color) you used? I think that would look nice on my Flair Puppeteer.

      thundercity311 the Paint color was honestly a really old can that just happened to be right there in the shelf lol. Can was probably 20 or more years old. That brand isn’t even available anymore lol

      @@balsausaairplanes6566 Sorry, I meant the color of the blue covering? I think it is available in Corsair blue and "bluewater" and I would guess you used bluewater? Good to know it can be painted over with normal auto-shop "rattle can" paint.

  • @ericrivest4423
    @ericrivest4423 5 лет назад +2

    Can you lay another color on top of that layer? If you were doing a starburst? Or would painting be better?

      Eric Rivest I suppose you could, but if it were me I would probably just paint it

  • @icin4d
    @icin4d 3 года назад +3

    With a plank style wing (straight LE) like this, why can't you cover both sides of the wing with one piece? Then you can avoid all that waste trimming the LE and the LE would be seamless.

    If Anybody is interested in the Oratex6000 for covering Full-scale ("Real Airplanes"), manned aircraft:
    As always, like every year, we will be in Oshkosh at EAA Airventure (2019) with our booth #300 near the Control Tower. Right beside Hangar A. Right on the main road that passes in front of the tower. We will be covering an airplane there again and so we can teach what to do and what not to do at all; non-stop during the whole week. We will also display several Oratex airplanes at the booth, aside of those that show up in Oshkosh anyway...(like the ones competing at the STOL competition !)
