Love 💗 the song, I remember listening and seeing it as toddler on TV while living in London, Eternal had lots of great songs & this song is of course their signature track, it was very unique for a male singers to do a duet with a girl band, it still gets played a lot in the UK, just heard it being played a few months ago at a jewellery shop it was being played by 20 something years olds. It’s pretty fresh for most people in the UK. It sounds like a party 🎉 tune for me.
My favorite Wynans song is "Addictive Love", it was released in 1991. That's 31 years ago. And I'm so happy that BeBe Wynans never changed his singing style.
Anytime any of the Winans especially Bebe or Marvin are on vocals the soulfulness is going to go up a notch…
...UH-OH! ***ETERNAL TRIVIA TIME!!*** ...do you, wanna be!? (4:41)
....LOVE this Girl Group! ...Originally from the UK, Sisters Vernie & Esther, & Louise, with Kellie, hit the scene in 1993 with "Always & Forever", and became THE Girl group to beat (in the UK) with FIVE Pop, R&B & Club hits.....
- ...then, Louise left, and they became a trio, on their 2nd Album, "Power Of A Woman", giving them 4 MORE hits; this tune, was their ONLY #1 Pop hit (in the UK), Feb., 1997, from their "Before The Rain" Album...
- ...and, Of COURSE, in-fighting started, and their union started breaking down; the Sisters wanted more gospel-affiliated material to sing, Kellie became frustrated, & left, after the "Greatest Hits" Album, and their last CD, "Eternal" (1999) bombed, with a minor Club hit, "What'cha Gonna Do"....
...ironic, that their biggest 'Pop' hit, is their most Gospel / Soul affiliated hit....DEFINITELY opened the doors for The Sugababes, later in the 90's...
Wow interesting ‼️
This was played to death on the radio at the time.
Wow‼️
I gave you Just a Step from Heaven a while back, so this isn't your first Eternal song. But I think the lineup changed between those tracks... I totally wouldn't have thought this was the same group if I hadn't seen the name of the band!
Totally forgot about it until someone mentioned it in the comments. I listen to sooo many songs sometimes I forget 😂
Number 1 in the UK, we obviously like cheese!
😂😂
Love Eternal! This was their only UK number 1 hit. They had a successful run in the mid to late 90s. Empress I thought you’d love the yeah yeah yeah yeah vocals! They’re airy and just kinda float
I do like the vocals
You listened to Eternal last year. Step from Heaven?
Wow totally forget‼️I listen so to sooo much
I am confused. Lol Is this Gospel or R&B? The vocals were on point tho! lol
🤣right
A shame music took a turn for the worst, real music right here
This is definitely not the best eternal song I would check out a song like angel of mine or don't you love me far superior songs
