    The NECA Deadpool was like 18" and $120, came with a lot of stuff for different display options.
    I don't see how comes Hasbro, being a bigger company than NECA, can't do the same.

    • @mgshock

      Inflation plus higher profit requirement due to Hasbro having shareholders. Extra heads are probably already baked into the cost as well.

    • @nhyar
      @nhyar 9 месяцев назад

      @@mgshock The extras are already included in the Giant Man base price, that's why it's kind of a scam to lock them as tiers.

    They should’ve put more into the neck and waist articulation instead of putting so much focus on the hands. The detailed sculpting is cool but they made him too big for their customer base. They should’ve just made him 18 inches max and put him on pulse if they didn’t want to put him on shelves. ML team is out of touch with their fan base. It shows when indie products like SF II figs from Jada Toys, Valaverse AF, and Street Humans have better articulation and accessories.

    If this funds, it will only reach the base level. The problem with that is that they admitted the tiers are pre baked into the price. I feel bad for people who want this thing. It's either not gonna make it, or 10,000 backers are gonna get ripped off

    • @jwolf8371
      @jwolf8371 9 месяцев назад +1

      I'm not sure why this is soooooo hard to understand. Production cost are much higher for a small batch, like 10000. They go down as you add units to say 14000 and then open up space to add things. Yes you are paying for them. And yes it's better to fully fund and get everything. But only making 10000 makes those units less cost effective and raises the cost per unit. We aren't "getting ripped off" as much as you think. My bigger problem is the 25 a piece for basic figs that they make ten or hundreds of thousands of. That should be where our complaints are focused. This thing looks awesome, and I hope we pull through.

    • @trevormcguire6984
      @trevormcguire6984 9 месяцев назад

      Oh, it's understood. It also does not quite math the way you got it figured out though. They already admitted that they figure the stretch goals into the price of the base offer. Why is that soooooooo hard for you to understand?

    • @jwolf8371
      @jwolf8371 9 месяцев назад +1

      @trevormcguire6984 that isn't exactly what they said. Watch the actual quote instead of listening to talking points from others. Think of it the other way around. The price of the item with 4 tiers is x If it gets over 20000 backers. If it sells less 17000 they can't put tier 4 in due to the cost of production of the one off base that they don't have molds they are reusing or packaging made ect these things add cost. If they only are 9000 the cost to pay for the new production is up too high for the add ons. Look dude, I'm not out here to sell anything. They piss me off with a lot of stuff. But the Haslabs are our only way to get these huge figures. They aren't the conspiracy filled scam you guys build them up to be.

    I really like Giant-Man, I would been ok with a smaller version but this is a good size still, also I don't have any Giant-Man so if this doesn't fund I will have to settle with the old and expensive Toy Biz one that could potentially increase its price if this fails (even if its price is already close to this Haslab price) or the other smaller less impressive non classic suit Giant-Men that Hasbro has made. I can see why people don't want it to fund but I really hope it does.

    I'm glad that a classic Wasp and/or Yellowjacket isn't a tier, so then people who don't have the funds or don't want the Giant-Man can still get those characters, plus those figures won't be locked away if it's not funded, like what happened with Mephisto and those other characters with the Engine of Vengeance. They 100% should've announced these figures sooner, so more people would be hyped and want Giant-Man.

      Getting just a giant man with a few faceplates is not worth the 200 bucks that, maybe $150, but not $200. Honestly they could Salvage the project by releasing it has a specialty build a figure with an avengers wave, or something. Maybe Ramen toys or another third party with probably make a giant man figure for $200 or less.

      @@ShinKamaitachi Ramen toys would still need a crowd funding on the purchase since it's a lot smaller company so they would have to do it through pre-orderes plus they would have to get away with licensing by changing the name entirely since they can get sued that's why they had to change names of products

  • @ShinKamaitachi
    @ShinKamaitachi 9 месяцев назад +1

    I don't think it's going to fund. Instead of showing like faceplates that could have just showed off the wasp, that probably would have helped out. I was also telling myself the same thing when I saw the price tag and I thought this figure is not worth $200, because we're not getting a lot of s*** for $200. $150-$170 maybe $175, but $200, no.

    • @davidmarrero9608
      @davidmarrero9608 9 месяцев назад

      The price point isn't bad given the size since most figures in that size being in 1/6 scale or other larger figures are about that price point. The issue is the figure itself and like you said nothing really worth it.
      To me the figure is off on body proportions like the shoulders are too small, head is too big, paint details aren't there and the articulation is off like the back of the head of a photo at NYCC shows the head barely on the ball peg which idk why Hasbro can't even figure out how to do a double ball peg for head articulation when other companies have figured that out.
      No excuse to have lollipop heads or gaps when a head is on a body

Where is a Spiderman Haslab or something cool like a X-Men Blackbird? The team making the decisions for these Marvel Haslabs seems dull, uninspired, lazy and doesnt know their audience. I agree on doing polls going forward, but an X-Men Blackbird would be waaaay too big to make. Not only would it have to be way bigger than Galactus, but it would prob also cost over $500, and given how much real estate this thing would take, I don't see it funding.
