When I was a child I was very sick and the doctors thought I would die before I was 7. My grandmother sang this song to me all the time. I can still she her sitting on my bed in the hospital holding me and singing. I am now 58 and was able to sing this to my grandmother right before she passed away. It will always be her and my song. Thanks for such a beautiful job of this memory.

I am 63 years old. my mother introduced this song to me in 1968; just before I was sent to Viet Nam. This song as stayed in my heart for all those years and still my favorite today. I love to keep hearing it over and over again giving me the courage to go just one more step each day. Thank you.

Those are great comments, man. My mom introduced this song to me as well, and I could not agree more, is it still my favorite today. I am somewhat younger than you and did not have to go through the horror you did in Vietnam. However, the message of this song "you'll never walk alone" rings loud and clear to all. Especially this brilliantly orchestrated setting with Celtic Women. God bless....

it was touching that all the singers & Mariead had 1 or 2 kids with them as they sang. And the hug to each at the end was just tear jerking & deeply touching.
Recently lost a friend (only 55 years old) who liked these women, and this song makes me think of his wife who feels lost & alone right now.

You may be right. CW ,since it's inception, has produced many wonderful and superbly talented performers.
However,Chloe Agnew and Lisa Kelly were the guts of this marvelous group. Their rich voices, their emotions, their stage presence may never be duplicated.
Yes,Celtic Woman will still be terrific.Mairead Nesbitt will continue to thrill audiences. But at the end of the day something will be missing.

The best operatic rendition of this was on British TV, celebrating the turn of the century. It was a professional female opera singer. I thought it would be dull, I was wrong. It was astonishing, the woman was absolutely superb, incredible able, clearly an experienced singer. I've not seen nor heard it since, nothing on RUclips, nothing, not a trace.

When you walk through a storm
    Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of a storm
    There's a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark
    Walk on through the wind
    Walk on through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
    Walk on, walk on
    With hope in your heart
    And you'll never walk alone
    You'll never walk alone
    Walk on, walk on
    With hope in your heart
    And you'll never walk alone

I've enjoyed Celtic woman since I was like 6 or 7 (I'm 18 now) and I've loved every line up and I love watching all their old performances on here but there's always a bit of sadness when I watch ones with Chloe and Lisa Kelly because they are both amazing ( two of my favourites) and have both said they don't see themselves performing with Celtic woman again and it's like a little dagger in the heart watching and knowing it's never going to be like that again. And I know they both needed to move on but Sometimes I just really miss them and I would have loved for Chloe, Lisa k, Lisa L and Susan to have performed together that would have been spectacular.

I'm an Irish woman living in America, so I have always adored Celtic Woman. However, I never imagined I'd get to see them live. So imagine my surprise several years ago when they did a U.S. tour that put them in my town. I bought tickets for the best seat in the house the day they went on sale and I was enthralled during every minute of their performance.
I haven't spoken Gaelic since my gran passed away when I was 16. No one speaks it in America. Their show resonated with me on so many levels, and when they performed this song, one of my gran's favourite songs, it felt like she was with me again.
I haven't seen them perform again since, but if they ever come back to my town, you better believe I will buy tickets to the best seat in the house again.

the way Chloe puts her heart and soul when she sings is just incredible aint it!! at the last show i saw her with CW in the Emerald production i believe it was one of the last few shows of the tour for her... She sang Ave Maria first of all she took the house down singing as always, and at the end as she bowed she cryed and had the biggest smile on her face saying "thank you i love you all" and stood for like 10 seconds or more on the verge of bawling... the standing ovation and cheering from all of her fans, but mostly me it was magic... i screamed like a teen watching Bieber okay... anyways it shows how much Chloe loves to perform for her Chloelovers captivating us with her heartfelt soul!!
      Love Chloe so much

A beautiful treatment for a beautiful song! I worked for twenty eight years with the Jerry Lewis Telethon for Muscular Dystrophy and Jerry ended each one with this song... so many meanings on so many levels! Most of the meaning of this for me, comes from being a follower of Jesus....

I can watch this a million times and Chloe's intensity and emotional connection to the song brings me to tears each time. Her facial expressions and looking upward near the end touch me.

It may be a long time, but I am very sorry for your loss. I know how you feel though, I went through the same thing when I lost my brother. I have always loved this song, since I was very young I use to listen to A man name Cal Yarborough sing this song.

    "You'll Never Walk Alone"
    [Verse]
When you walk through the storm
    Hold your head up high
And don't be afraid of the dark
At the end of the storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of the lark
    [Chorus]
    Walk on, through the wind
    Walk on, through the rain
Though your dreams be tossed and blown
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
    And you'll never walk alone
    You'll never walk alone
    [Verse]
    [Chorus]
Walk on, walk on, with hope in your heart
    And you'll never walk alone
You'll never walk, you'll never walk alone
