- Bonjour, it's Théo 👋
Today, I'm with @MarieMT & we are trying an iconic café in Paris : Café de Flore!
This place is one of the most famous restaurants in the city, where all the poets from the 19th century used to meet each other.
It's touristic, it's pricey, but does it deserve the try? Let's see...

Can’t wait to visit Cafe de Flore! And don’t worry about not pronouncing Worcestershire perfectly 4:13 (pronounced wuh-stuh-sure) - us native English speakers can’t say it 99% of the time either 😅
Okay English people love to not pronounce all the syllables, there are doing like French 😭
My wife and I ate there and I had the omelette. It was very good and the restaurant is definitely a worthwhile experience. I’ve never had tartare or escargot. However, you have convinced me to be more adventurous and try both on our next trip to Paris.
Yes, you need to try a good tartare! I recommend "Bien Elevé" for a creative and delicious tartare !
Yeah, Café de flore is definitely overpriced, but for anyone who's into the French intellectual postwar literary scene, it's still a place to get a little taste of a slice of Beauvoir, Sartre, or Camus. Speaking of that, have you tried another famous literary cafe, Le Select? Compared to Café de flore, it's more present. Lots of writers, artists, and intellectuals still hang out there. If you go, you might just spot someone like Édouard Louis, Annie Ernaux, or even Patti Smith.
Have you ever tried Café de Flore?
No the line was too long but i did try the restaurant opposite to this and food was awesome! Restaurant name is Cafe Louise! Good Work keep it up!
@@najeeb725Oh I need to try this one ! What did you eat there ?
I think I had a coffee there during my visit to Paris ten years ago. It was a place I really wanted to go.
Yes I went to this iconic cafe in 2022 ( I stayed a few blocks away) and it wasn’t bad. Definitely pricey but it was an experience. Love the St. Germain des Pres area. Keep these videos coming!
@@frenchguytheo Well i tried Tuna Tartare, Grilled Fish, Lime Cheesecake and Chocolate dome! It was too good! I have pictures but dont know how to share here, will share with you on Instagram!
Love Tartare au boeuf. I have not have the one at Cafe De Flore. Will try next..
I love it too 🥰
Great video. I will agree on the omelet price. Here in the US, it's the same price.🤷♂️ I love Steak Tartare and I prefer it “au couteau” as well. Why do the French use ketchup in their tartare?
Don't worry, I would never put ketchup in the tartare !
Really enjoyed this video! :)
Thank you! 🥰
Thanks for showing us Cafe de Flore.
I'm glad you loved it!
All of the food looks really good.
I have a love for Omelet's, that one looks
really good.
Jeff❤
It's a really good one !
🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽
2 days ago ,saw 3 mice running around this cafe ,no one cared ,everyone saw .overall overpriced and unhygenic ,don't go there , 2 coffees and 2 pieces of cake 38 euros ,its crazy
Oh the mice can unfortunately be found in Paris, especially in this area, near Saint-Michel and the Seine !
ha ha it's more like wurs-ter-sure... most people try to pronounce every syllable, which is incorrect.
It's like us French people, we never pronounce all the syllables 😭
Line always too long.
Really? I think it depends of the day, because I've never waited to go to Café de Flore
